Located just in the back of Dr. Tumblety's specialty shop (behind a bookcase of course) it boasts Victorian romance, intrigue and mystery with its handsome furnishings and accessories. Everything screams early-1900s. The craft cocktails are next level as is the service. The drinks are curated with house-made spirits. They also have stellar mocktail options. We sat outside, which was first come first serve. It took awhile for anyone to approach us but I was in the restaurant industry for some time so I surely realize it happens for many reasons ! My friend ordered two speciality drinks which we were then told they didn't have the ingredients to make those cocktails...Okay - it happens no problem . We then ordered food from the brunch menu ( also out of the first item we asked for , there are only about 6-7 items on that limited menu). We asked if the regular menu would be available that day and we were told "no not on Sunday's." We proceeded to order and consume the hot honey chicken and waffles( good but not much of a hot honey taste and be aware it's BONE IN chicken), French toast with berries ( delicious ), and the shrimp and grits (made to perfection). I ordered the Texas medicine beverage , which was exquisite! (Tequila cocktail, Pictured). We also had the Petal and Pearl , gin and procecco cocktail ,not pictured but very good as well. After we ate, we moved to the bar to grab one last beverage. Again, it took quite some time for someone to approach us, which was odd because many of the girls were making eye contact but walking by us. Finally a gentleman with curly hair came over to take our orders - thank you. We noticed people at the bar were eating wings and food that was not listed on the brunch menu. When I asked how they ordered that, they said the regular menu starts at 3 on Sundays! We were extremely disappointed our original server did not tell us this nor was enlightened that the menu was released at a later time on Sundays. Concerning. It was nice to sit on a roof top in Pittsburgh on a sunny day. They have the atmosphere done with perfection. The food seemed delectable and the beverages done with beautiful presentations. Not only was the owner and staff AMAZING but the food was out of this world. We ended up ordering just about everything to try and nothing disappointed. The grilled cheese and tomato soup dumplings .. insane! Such an amazing menu and really nice people. I cannot wait to go back. The owner really cares about his customers.

I felt like I wasn't in Pittsburgh for an evening. The decoration was and vibe is so cool. I went to celebrate my friend's birthday and Palm Palm did not disappoint. I'm very impressed by the service and very pleased with the food,m. We had Oysters, fries, caramelized oranges, bread & jam. It was all so good! I can't even pick a favorite. There is also an outdoor patio in the back. The inside is moody without being too dark and has vibes reminiscent of a jazz bar. We talked with one of the owners, Max, and we chatted about all the work it took to revamp a space that had been vacant for years. Max was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about hookah and wants to turn his space in a community third space with lots of events. I've been to quite a few cigar lounges--and even worked at one--so I have a good sense of what makes a place stand out. Burn by Rocky Patel did just that on every level. The ambiance, décor, cigar selection, and service were all top-tier. It's a classy lounge with a twist of sports bar energy, which made it both elevated and fun. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next day, and they had live entertainment--a violinist playing along to hip hop and R&B--which created such a unique vibe. Kayla, the bartender, let us know about the live entertainment the day before, it wasn't posted on their social media or website. She was attentive, sweet, and made excellent drinks. Evan, who was working the cigar side, was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and communicated well with customers even during a heavy flow. One thing that really stood out was the crowd--mixed ages, mature, and plenty of ladies confidently partaking in the beautiful art of cigars, which I loved seeing. Even if you don't smoke cigars, the vibes in this place are worth the visit. If and when I return to Pittsburgh, this place is a must. It's also within walking distance to the stadiums, which is a huge plus. Feedback for management: The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the disconnect between locations and social media postings. There was an event listed on the website that wasn't actually happening at this location, while an amazing event that was happening wasn't shared online; which would have been a shame to miss. It may be worth considering in-house social media and website management to ensure updates are accurate and timely to the specific location.
