This was our first time eating here and it was delicious!! Lots of choices. The woman that runs the place was very friendly and our food came out pretty quick. I had the Garden Lovers dinner and it had tons of beautiful vegetables in a light flavorful broth-like sauce. My husband loved his dinner too. The food is good, the service sucks. After placing an online order, we showed up to pick it up at the scheduled time to find it not ready. This is not a big deal, happens all the time. The fact that we had to wait over 20 minutes AFTER showing up for an order that should have been done is not okay. Definitely do not recommend ordering online from here. read more

Dinner there was 10/5 stars! Restaurant is located in a beautiful historic building on Main Street in Independence across from the new hotel, park and condos on the river. Floor to ceiling windows, architectural details around the room in this sweeping space. It was very clean. COVID compliant to the max - felt like 20' apart. Very few tables so if you can have an early dinner, go early - like 4:00 vs 5:00. We had the sample appetizer plate, drunken chicken and Thai basil with sticky rice. Service was good. Keep in mind, this is a local small business, so if you expect them at your table every 3 minutes, stay home. There's only 2-3 people working. They did an incredible job. We watched tons of To Go orders leave that kitchen and people ordering online - then picking up - in & out - seamlessly. I was impressed also with their business model. Really disappointed in our first (now final) delivery order. Wife's pho was 90% broth, contained almost no vegetables. The extra chicken ordered was left out completely. Essentially gave up a bowl of broth with a couple meager chicken threads and 2 or 3 veggie pieces max. Shameful! read more

They gave me cold broccoli, watered down tom kha, and dry orange chicken. Don't waste your money here. Drive an extra 10 minutes to Mink's Pad Thai in Monmouth. Much better, friendly, and quaint. The ambiance here is cold and feels like you're in a warehouse. The service is unfriendly, and most people are just doing take out because there's really no good restaurants in Independence except for Italian. I hope to God that they're not using the tap water! I really want to like this place.....The pad Thai was so spicy I could not eat it at a level two! The previous order I did the same, hardly any spice! Also both times the noodles were totally congealed on the bottom a good inch or more. Could not get the fork through it. I am thinking for delivery orders they pre filling the bottoms of the trays and adding fresh noodles on the top. You certainly would not get that on a plate in the restaurant. I found a hair in my food. They seem to do a good takeout business but they don't have the best of service if you're dining in. The food was overall fine but the hair we found definitely wasn't ours, don't think we'll be going back anytime soon. read more

We went to visit on a Monday at about five and you could tell they were slammed with orders. Went up and ordered a few salad rolls and Pad Thai and waited about 10 minutes. After about a 10 minute wait they notified us that their kitchen was backed up and it would be about another 20 minutes. So, we went across the street went to the park. When he came back or food was ready so we brought it home. Salad rolls were okay, Pad Thai was great. You can tell that they are just starting out as it was pretty chaotic in there when we were ordering. A few people were coming back in saying that her orders were wrong. Even though the food here is good, the wait times are insane and unacceptable, it takes over 45 minutes to get your order for dining in even when the restaurant is basically empty when you arrive. They struggle to keep up with the constant to go orders so that anyone attempting to eat in the restaurant are low priority. For the past year this has happened nearly every time we try to eat here and even have ended up walking out when waiting over 15 mini for someone to even acknowledge us or waiting over an hour for the food. They should just focus on filling to go orders and close the dining room, they obviously don't need the dine in business and can't handle both. read more

Absolutely superb Thai cuisine. Panang Curry was a grand choice, as was Sweet and Sour Chicken! Salad Rolls were done to perfection, as were Blanket Shrimp. Quaint location in old downtown Independence with safe distance seating. We chose to takeout and had no regrets. It was hot and delish. Small restaurant, so there can be a wait, but it is worth it. I ordered takeout tonight via the app with no issues. I received a text saying it would be ready in 22 minutes. We arrived a bit early and watched from outside. The app was spot on with timing...I walked in at 22minutes and they had just finished bagging it up. We ordered pumpkin curry with chicken for me and my guy had crispy calamari and lettuce wraps. The curry was excellent...good chunks of pumpkin and plenty of meat. I ordered spice level of 3 having never ordered from here before and I'm glad I did. I would typically order a 4, but the 3 was plenty spicy. The calamari was bland so we added a good dose of salt and pepper and that did the trick! The lettuce wraps had a good balance of meat and fresh crunchy veggies. We ordered the 2 appetizers for his entree, but just the lettuce wraps would have been plenty. Another GREAT restaurant just down the street in our little town...we'll definitely order from here again! read more

This restaurant is super good. It gets really busy, so sometimes the wait is long, but I promise it is so worth it. And what else do you expect from a family owned restaurant?? If you want fast service, go get fast food. If you want a high quality hot meal, and are willing to wait for it, eat here. The volcano tofu is my personal favorite, so good!
