    Pecan Crusted Chicken Breast
    Melissa L.

As soon as I walked out of the elevators and into the restaurant this afternoon, it was very sterile, white, bright and luxurious. We were greeted immediately by staff who led us to our dining area. I ordered the pecan crusted chicken breast, which was served with sautéed spinach and andouille sausage with jambalaya. The presentation of my dish was beautiful. My chicken was breaded and tender, cooked perfectly and placed on top of a savory cream sauce. The spinach was perfectly sautéed and tender, lightly seasoned, and my jambalaya perfectly made with the right amount of spice and kick! I can't wait to go back and try another dish!

Went for dinner to meet our soon to be son in law's family. The private room was nice and allowed us to have lively conversations. I love their Caesar salad and had planned on getting the Chicken Fried Oysters like I usually do, but changed it up. I ordered the Blackened Red Snapper with crab and it was delicious. Instead of orzo, I got a second vegetable. The service was great as usual.

A friend of mine was celebrating her birthday recently and chose Silo as her destination of choice for a fancy dinner night. While I've visited the downtown Silo Prime location and the Alamo Heights Silo location previously, this was my first time at the 1604 location. It didn't disappoint! For my entree I went with the braised Korabuta pork shank and my friend the roasted duck breast & confit leg. The pork was absolutely delicious and the meat was so tender that with just a little nudge it would completely fall off the bone. It was incredibly tender and moist and the addition of the generous dollop of goat cheese on top combined with the dish's sauce were a perfect flavor combination. The duck was good - but compared to the pork shank it couldn't compete. Despite being completely stuffed, we had to end the evening with a sweet treat and opted for the chocolate torte. Another delicious choice but I could only have two bites. Service was excellent and the ambiance lovely. It was a perfect place to celebrate another trip around the sun. I'll definitely be back for that pork shank again!

I wanted to take my wife to a special dinner and Silo Elevated Cuisine (on the second floor, hence Elevated) is very impressive looking with an elegant interior design, comfortable chairs and atmosphere. So this is where I took here. We started our meal adventure with an amazing carrot soup. The top restaurant make their soups in house and this soup was very special. What a great way to start our meal. It may sound simple but their soup was so rich and creamy with a hint of sweetness and complex flavors. Take my advice and try what ever they are making that night. She had grilled shrimp and I had a wonderful NY strip steak with a side of asparagus. My wife loves shrimp, if you read my other reviews you will see she gets them a lot. The shrimp dish came with spinach and something else. Other items, like my steak, are a-la-cart. My steak was fantastic! I eat every single little bite. I could not wait and took a big piece before I snapped a photo. I do that a lot. I did not try and of my wife's meal because I was enjoying my food so much. Don't forget about the asparagus, these big thick stocks were so tender, I was totally taken by surprise. Do you see all the butter on top? Silo knows what they are doing and has elevated the flavor of their cuisine. Oh I see the double meaning in the name here. There were a lot of side both of us were interested in. Next time I think we will get a very big steak with several sides, then share everything, I think it will be fun and romantic. I hope you enjoy Silo like we did. They have several other places all different so, look for future reviews of them.

I celebrated a milestone birthday here with friends. I reserved the smallest party space and absolutely enjoyed the evening. The room was dimly lit and had a beautiful chandelier which added to the ambience. A friend of mine decorated the table in a fall theme, which just took on the vibe of the room. There was soothing jazz, music piped in which really made the evening quite elegant. The wait service was impeccable! The food was delicious. I highly recommend the wedge salad. The addition of the hard boiled egg and french fried onions gave it a special touch. If you enjoy a good cocktail, their Old-Fashioned is dynamite. Thank you for a wonderful evening. I look forward to dining here again.

Review Ambiance 5/5 clean, not cramped tables, elegant Service 5/5 John did a fantastic job of recommending dishes after listening to our likes. He had several tables but never felt like we were ignored Food 5/5 Ahi Tuna appetizer was great. Sea bass was soft, chef steak special good flavor Coffee drinks were tasty Price $$$.

Mediocre food. Appetizers were not that great. We ordered the ahi tuna, duck spring rolls, muscles, quail, beet salad and wedge salad. Out of the appetizers I would recommend the wedge salad and thats it. If you are coming here for drinks and dessert you are in luck. The Tijuana lady was delicious, the cucumber martini was a second best. The chocolate tart was perfection, coconut pie was also great. I wasn't a fan of the cheesecake but other's in my party enjoyed it. The server messed up our meal quite a bit, forgetting to input items and inputting the wrong items. We had the beef tenderloin, it was decent but not worth the cost.

This was our second time here and again the food and service was great. I started with the Tijuana Lady to drink, which was refreshing. I started dinner with the Baby Wedge Salad which was very delicious and I appreciated the fact that the blue cheese crumble was not over powering. For my entrée I had the Chicken Fried Oyster, which is very good and a perfect portion. For dessert I selected the Citrus Cheesecake. Our server was great and I think I threw him off at first by joking with him. I look forward to returning to Silo for another great dinner.

My wife and I came here for an anniversary lunch. We thought we would have the soup and salad for a light lunch, but we could not resist the red fish special. We started with the mussels - wow!! So good! Our fish was perfectly cooked and the cous cous and Brussel sprouts were delicious! And since it was our anniversary we decided on the chocolate mousse for dessert which was fantastic! Great meal and experience.

Great place to eat the food is amazing the ambiance is great. The wait times are great. Very happy overall

Early birthday celebrations continue @siloelevated 1604 for dinner tonight. First time to bring Dad to this location. The complimentary fresh bread was warm and tasty. Dad had a Sprite, I had the Luxardo Whiskey Sour, and my husband had Pine Ridge. We had the Duck Spring Rolls as an appetizer. Love the sauce! Dad and I shared the Sea Bass and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. My husband had the Scallops, and I ate half of one. They were the largest scallops I've ever seen! For Dad's early birthday celebration, Brad brought out the complimentary creme brulee with a candle! Such a sweet ending! It was busy for a Monday night. Excellent food and service!

Another great meal at Silo. Shirley took great care of us. Celebrating Father's Day early to avoid the crowds. They do provide a nice pour on wines. I started with a baby wedge salad. I told Shirley they need to rename it the "Baby Huey" salad. They use flavorful baby iceberg lettuce heads and it's a lot of salad. Ranch dressing was balanced with blue cheese. My wife had the Caesar salad, which is always good. For my entree I had the daily seafood special which was a nice size piece of halibut. It had crab meat on top and haricot green beans on the side. The fish was moist and flaky and the green beans al dente, just like I like. There was orecchiette (ear) pasta under the fish with a pesto cream sauce. I asked for lemon to add an acidic component. My wife had the fried oysters, which are her longtime Silo favorite. It was a lot of food. Her dish came with angel hair pasta and sauteed spinach. We were both too full to enjoy dessert this visit.

The food is always fresh abd the service is awesome. The elevator to the 2nd floor dining area makes you feel like you're going to an exclusive private dining that you have to know someone to get in. All jokes aside, I've dine here several times with no complaints. I highly recommend for a romantic dinner on the second level. The first floor has that bar vibe with outdoor seating.

We walked in without a reservation, and I really appreciate that they were able to accommodate us with outdoor seating. The patio had a fun, upbeat atmosphere and was a great place to spend the evening. The drinks were generally very well made, once they were prepared correctly. The food, however, was just okay. I had the cheeseburger with an egg, and while it was decent, it wasn't particularly memorable. The standout was definitely the fries, especially paired with the spicy ketchup. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the service. Since we were seated outside, it felt like our table was forgotten. We sat for at least 15 minutes without proper plates, napkins, or silverware and had to ask multiple times before everyone was taken care of. We never had enough water glasses for the entire table, drink service was slow throughout the meal, and at one point I walked to the bar myself because my Old Fashioned had been made with agave and was far too sweet. I also had to track down our server just to get the check. Overall, I appreciate that they accommodated a large walk-in party, and the atmosphere and drinks were enjoyable. However, the combination of mediocre food and inattentive service left us disappointed. I don't think I'd return, as it felt like our table was simply forgotten once we were seated outside.

Immediately upon walking in I fell in love with the rustic yet elegant decor (those chandeliers tho). During happy hour there are select cocktail and bites you can enjoy for $7 each. My drink of choice for the evening was the perfectly balanced Berry Smash . I was torn on bites but ended up going with the Happy Hour sliders and the pork belly appetizer from the regular menu. Both were soooo good...particularly the Pork Belly which was a perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and savory. This visit redeemed Haywire in my eyes and I'm looking forward to returning during regular hours to explore more of the menu during dinner service.

Before we were done with our drinks, the hostess came over to us to let us know our table was ready. I did not know that this was an open kitchen concept but I was thrilled when I seen it. We were seated by the kitchen. I thought it was bd a bit noisy but the kitchen staff was quiet which allowed us to enjoy our meal and conversation. The waitress was very nice and observant. She did not interrupt our conversations, she waited until we sat plates aside as we were done to avoid reaching over us, and she even took pictures for us. She also offered us glasses of prosecco to celebrate with. We ordered the roasted carrots and pork belly for appetizers and the short beef ribs and steak for entrees. The food was so good!
