WARNING!They damaged my property in the backyard when they were not supposed to be working there. Then they lied about the damage. Thankfully , I took a photo of the damage plus I had watched the worker do it. They hid the damage and still denied it! Their job was to clear out debris underneath the house from a kitchen remodel and repair a very small area of brick wall. Unfortunately now the brick wall looks horrible. Supposedly the guy who did the repair had experience, but that's not what it looked like to me. I need to have their "repair" removed and repaired properly. Also they left white mortar on many areas of my brick planter. They also used white mortar to do the repairs on a brick wall that has gray mortar. Daniel, who over saw the job said it would color match the existing mortar. So far it has remained white. Rick the owner, refused to do anything about the damage. He offered not to cash my check but it will cost several thousand dollars to correct the damage. I will be filing a small claims case against them. read more

My AC unit was fighting with me pulling such moves as ice on the freon pipe to the plenum being dislodged from the evaporator. Luis is super responsive and worked with me (I can do small things like replace the capacitor) but with more detailed stuff I just end up creating more work for people like Luis. He methodically diagnosed the system and it is now blowing cold air in the middle of a heat wave. Thank you for the solid service. read more

Absolutely recommend this business, Luis Silva is very pleasant gentleman to make business with. I met him through my home warranty insurance, and although I was very upset with the other company , he was able to change my mind about the whole situation. Luis was on time, answer all my questions Pryor to arrival, respectful of the property, knowledgeable of his work. Luis came to check our AC unit , and was able to fix it, he wasn't greedy like other companies I dealt with in the past. Just moved into a new home recently and had Old Republic Home Warranty. Old Republic sent me Luis Silva from Silva Contractors.. My initial issue was my A/C unit was not cold or blowing enough air out of the vents. Luis proceeds to add freon to the unit and called it complete. The next day, my unit would turn off and on.. off and on.. or what they called short-cycling. I requested if he would do anything else such as check for leaks (since it was low on freon before) but he refused. I hired another company to diagnosis the issue and they immediately noticed something they have never seen before.. my unit was rated to handle 120 - 450 PSI. Luis put over 600 PSI and overloaded the unit. Now freon has to be taken out before the initial issue can be resolved. I kindly gave Luis a call about the issue and he said "call my home warranty company and find somebody else." Not even an apology after damaging my unit! I would not consider him a professional contractor by any means. If you use him, beware of mickey mouse jobs from this guy. read more

Horrible customer service. This company was assigned to me by my home warranty company to replace my AC unit and coil as an emergency. I contacted Luis to schedule an appointment. When he was scheduled to arrive he called me asking to reschedule due to the heat. I understood so we rescheduled. He then contacted me again asking if I have a ladder he can use, or he would have to reschedule again. I said sure, not thinking of the liability risk my wife mentioned after the fact. He complained the entire time in my attic about the heat, and how difficult it was to maneuver around the ducts in the attic. It was one complaint after another. I offered him a cold bottle of water and was very polite with him to the point we were conversing about his family and mother in Peru. Anyway, he quoted me $6,500 to replace my ac unit and coil which means I have to come out of pocket because he said I have to do a lot of additional unnecessary work. I had no choice but to accept since it was an emergency and going through my home warranty. He stated the work would be completed by Thursday (4 days later) which was reasonable. I called him on Wednesday and he laughed at me saying "No way, I have a full schedule ". When I mentioned he was providing me bad customer service, he said he was going to transfer me, then contacted my home warranty and told them he didn't feel safe in my home. I was shocked and embarrassed. I checked 2 other hvac companies and they both quoted me $8,000 with no additional work required, but now the home warranty will only reimburse me $6,500 because of Luis' incompetence. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. I went with Stewart Heating and air. They're awesome. They even let me borrow a couple portable ac units so my family can be comfortable until the complete the job in 2 days. read more

Luis was sent by my home insurance company to fix my dead furnace. The furnace had problems in the past and was supposedly repaired on two other occasions by another contractor who blamed the wind on its ongoing issues. Luis diagnosed a complicated cascade of problems, hopefully solving the issues for good. He was very polite, prompt, drove to a far off hardware store for a same-day repair, and worked for four straight hours to ensure perfection. Time will tell if the repair takes, but for now I'm very impressed! I highly recommend Mr. Silva. read more

Eduardo came out to give us an estimate, took quite a bit of time to have this scheduled and he was late for the appointment. He promised the estimate by the end of the week but never called back. I left several messages and texts, no response at all. I moved on to another hearer installer but I wasted unnecessary time waiting for a response from Edouardo. When I called his boss, he told me some story that did not make sense and generally was unconcerned with the fact that a long-time client was treated this way. needless to say, I will not ever work with this company again. read more

Really nice and thorough! He came on time, fixed our dishwasher, explained why it wasn't working, and even showed us how to avoid the same issue happening again. He also called ahead of time to find out more information about the problem so he had the tools and parts needed to fix it when he arrived! Luis you are the best!!!!! After two different vendors came to our home on multiple occasions; at least five times, I found Silva Contractors. The two prior vendors could not figure out what was wrong with our air and heating unit. Luis took the time to get to the root of the problem and fix our unit. He is very professional and honest. I wish I could leave less than 1 start. Communication from the start was terrible I had to call them after a week of them telling me my equipment was ordered. Once I asked him what was taking so long he became defensive and told me to call my warranty company. He then quotes me a price without knowing the correct size of the HVAC unit that was needed, not sure how that works another week passes still no parts ordered. He then offers to do the work on the side for me and bypass the warranty company at triple the price telling me that they wont cover the parts needed. I ask the warranty company to get him on the phone to straighten things out we agree on a price and that he will order the parts.. he call the warranty company the next day and asks to cancel my work order leaving me with no parts or repairs because he was caught trying to pull one over on me... STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUYS AT ALL COSTS!!!! read more

My dish washer wouldn't turn on one morning and so I called my home insurance company, who sent out Bull Dog appliances. Long story short, that company was not able to fix the dishwasher and stopped answering all of my phone calls. I called the insurance company who was not able to reach the owner as well. Luckily, they then sent Luis who was able to diagnose the problem and fix my dishwasher in less than an hour. The previous guy damaged one of the hinges, causing the door to make a loud noise when opening/closing. Luis diagnosed the problem here too and was able to fix it. Hopefully nothing else breaks down, but if it does..I'll be calling Luis. He was super friendly and seemed very honest. read more

Luis and his team went far beyond what we had seen from other contractors regarding our large commercial freezer. Several contractors had come and not fully addressed the issue. Luis put in a ton of extra time and subsequently brought his team back out in order to expedite the repair process. Luis has helped me several times with electrical issues in my home. He seems to be available weekdays or weekends and does not charge an arm and a leg. He has replaced/repaired several outlets in my home that were sparking, fixed a light in my kitchen, including purchasing the plastic inserts that fit my lighting and bringing those along to fix as well. Silva contractors has done two furnace repairs for us on our rental units. On the first, they immediately fixed the problem where the previous contractor we called could not do it after four separate visits. On the second they found corroded wires and did the repair quickly and reasonably priced. Will definitely call them again. read more

Service was friendly, relatively prompt. However, Luis and his crew were unfamiliar with my area and did not obtain a permit for the installation of the AC unit. They also told me it was "middle of the road' in terms of energy efficiency before I bought it, and the sticker on the side of my unit clearly states it only meets the minimal energy efficiency ratings. Futher, it doesn't work that well. It's ok, but some rooms are cooler than others, and he tried to tell me it's because of the way my furniture is situated, as I have floor vents. This is not the case, as the two coldest rooms have dressers above the vents (with a 3-4 inch clearance). He just didn't know how to fix it, or installed a minimal-quality machine. The receipt he gave me was just a typed piece of paper with no business logo and poor grammar. I went to him for my heater issues since he's familiar with the home and system and was very nice, but I got a second opinion. The next company also said my heater needed to be replaced as did Luis, but they went through the permit process for me, and increased the door to my crawlspace to be up to code at no charge (and Luis didn't seem to know it wasn't up to code). Overall, as much as I like supporting the little guy, his knowledge deficit isn't worth it. Further, I'm pretty sure the 5 star Yelp review by "Luis S" is the owner. Maybe he doesn't know how to login to Yelp to write an owner comment. read more
