In about a week he would form the materials to custom fit the shape needed. He called in less then a week. The piece is complicated; lots of seams, pockets, and moving parts, but also mechanics under the chair and power cords to deal with. Not only was the upholstery work beautifully done, but the chair worked without a hitch when they returned it. They delivered the chair in a timely manner, assembled all the pieces, and made sure it was in working order before they left. As I mentioned, it's been a few years since the work was completed; my dad has passed, but the chair has been handed down to another family member, and the upholstery still looks as good as new. He gave me the unfortunate news that Margie had passed away in September and the property has been sold. He plans to finish what jobs he can and is in the process of calling current customers to pick up any work he isn't able to finish. He will pack up his stuff and continue upholstering from his home residence in Inglewood, off of Century Blvd. So, if you are an old customer of AAA Upholstery, do give them a call before the end of the year if you want to continue having him do your work.
