That'll buy you a chip with cheese "small plate" in San Francisco, out here, it'll buy you the equivalent of a tactical nuclear weapon to transform your hangover into a glass parking lot. It's not only that these are cheap, they're delicious. Properly charred meat, citrus touched pastor, a smooth and tender tongue, yes to all. No refried beans, but Smokey pintos, a perfect balance of rice to meat to sour cream, crispy fresh onions. How about the cheese? Perfectly melted and perfectly integrated. Ordered a burrito with salsa rojo. The thing was too spicy to enjoy maybe mild next time. A regular burrito will make you cry eating it.

Silva's has been a must since I can remember. I make a point to always stop here when visiting town. I'm sad to say, I forfeit it. Horrible food. A bit of advice, there is no reason to char the meat and tortilla. The quesadilla is flavorless. No sour cream or anything. Update since the new cashier guy my food has been downhill. He is the light skin Mexican guy with the lined up beard. He is always very rude and my friend said he talks about customers. Whatever your adversion to taco trucks may be - forget about them. Hands down this place has the best tacos and tortas I have ever had. The rest of the menu is very solid, and can't be beat for the price. These trucks represent the best of what diversity offers a community - it is a cultural exploration of the culinary. Silvas offers great authentic Mexican food at unbelievable prices. My personal favorites: chicken tacos with green sauce, regular chicken burito with lettuce, tomato, and avacado (must ask for LTA, and at additional cost), and the carne assada torta. Long time patron of this taco truck and this is the last time I will ever go to Silva's! Unfortunately their good food doesn't out way their horrible service! I always order a regular burrito as I dont like sour cream and I get home and what do I find after 3 bites.......sour cream! Wtf! Last time I went I ordered my wife's burrito with no rice and no onion and what do we find.........yep rice and onion! Apparently they just do whatever they want with no regards for the customer. Silva's is a taco truck that never moves. It is 1 of 4 in a line of taco trucks that are permanent fixtures here. However, Silva's towers over the other in terms of good eats. I come through Turlock semi-often, and I stop at Silva's every time. My favorite by far is the Pastor Burrito. read more

This was not our only option available. There were at least 4 trucks lined up here. We finally said what the heck lets eat. And here we ended up. Quick service, great customer service and very flavorful food. My burrito was so good I never even had a chance to take a picture, but hey that is nothing new for me, LoL. I dont know how this place comes close to the rating. My first time trying this truck and the Chicken was tiny peices dried out and tough. I've been to much better trucks. This truck only gives a lemon on the side No jalapeno or radish. The 2 young guys working had attitude. Will never go here again there's much better places to spend your money. read more

Our usual Truck was closed and we drove down to Silva's.... IT WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING!.. IT USED TO BE THE BEST TACO TRUCK IN TURLOCK, NOW THE QUANTITY IS LESS AND PRICES HAVE GONE UP... I BOUGHT TWO SOFT CARNITAS TACOS, THEY WERE $1.75 each and I could barely find them on the paper plate, not to mention there were more onions than meat! My son and husbands burritos were not worth $8 since small, our usual place has them for $5.50 and much bigger! I remember days when they were a buck each and pretty filling, they should go back to larger tortillas! Turlock's Finest Taco Truck. Thanks to the city the 4 trucks which used to be parked at 'the strip' by the railroad track and Mexican clubs are now situated on this imporoved lot. Silva's is the last one in line. They charge a little more than the other three, but can get away with it because they are that good. When you pull up you may see one or two people at the other trucks, but almost always there's a line at Silvas. Try a beef (Incredibly seasoned) or pork (its rotating and juicing and cooking right in the window) burito. Like it says on the side of the truck; Simply the Best! read more

We ordered Super Burritos from here and when we got home I bit into a chunk of FAT! It was a Carnitas Burrito so I wasn't worried but when I unwrapped it there were about four large (1 inch square) chunks of pure fat, this was disgusting!! We now go to Viva's Taco Bus and love it! read more

they used to be good until they started scrimping on their meat,all you get now is a whole bunch of beans and rice and no meat and all of the trucks have gone down hill there in that spot. $5 for a burrito that has less meat than a taco bell burrito. OMG! I got to be the pickiest person when it comes to Mexican food... this taco truck is amazing!! The frijoles de la oja, the cilantro, the tomatoes, everything was so fresh!!! The meat, delicious! My son had a torta de carnitas., my husband had a burrito de carne asada, and I had a quesadilla de al pastor, -the flavors are exactly what Mexico food should be all about! I was looking for a new local, once I had the first bite of my chicken taco I knew I had found it. The chicken was tender, the taco was well spiced and filled with very delicious ingredients, and the price was reasonable-- $5 for a supreme. I came back and had a chicken quesadilla supreme and it was loaded with good things-- pico de gallo, chicken, cheese, avocado, sour cream I think? aaaand I think that was it, but I am probably forgetting some of the goodness. My husband always orders the carne asada tacos and he is very happy with them at $1.25 a piece. If you want something custom, they are more than happy to give you exactly what you want. They are open from 9 AM to 10 PM, so you can get some wonderful food practically all day. I fully recommend it. read more

I am originally from Turlock but have recently moved. When I come to visit home, Silva's is on the list to visit. For the past 9 years I have been a customer and my order has been consistantly made correctly. The quality is great-and I agree, better than the others parked next to Silva's. They are also very good about giving extra limes and peppers which is a big plus for me! I usually order a supreme burrito and tacos...always spicy. read more

Best taco truck I have ever tried anywhere! Normally when I visit a taco truck the tacos are greasy and the flavor is lackluster, when it comes to Silva's this is not the case. I normally get a burrito supreme with carne asada as this never has trouble satiating my appetite, but surely any of the other items on the menu will satisfy you.
