Highly recommended and I certainly would buy from them again! Fair price-no BS mind games! I like this place. We got a good deal on the SUV, I am going to be a college student so I wanted to get a SUV that could handle my lifestyle of moving and all. Any who, I found a car yes it had a couple of issues however, they are fixing them as we Speak. My salesman was Marty, very honest guy, not very enthusiastic but honest. I brought my vehicle in to service today and they put me in a loaner. I like being able to still have wheels. So hopefully they will have my car finished correctly BEFORE the end of the week. read more

I just bought a 2002 Honda Civic from SilverAuto. The dealer I worked with, Steve, was awesome and very thoughtful. I had looked on the website and checked out a few cars I wanted to test drive. I brought in my list and while he was busy, he stil had the cars brought up and had them warming up while I was test driving my list. He even suggested taking another test drive in the two cars I was debating about. He was pretty knowledgeable about the cars. The cars def are on a cheaper side compared to other dealerships you do get what you pay for. The dealerships that were offering similar cars were about 1-2k more then silverauto. I got my car with a missing battery for the remote, oil was past due, and there is an issue for my rear passenger door and window issue. Oil change and a batter is no problem for me to pay if i got the car that much cheaper. THey also gave me a $300 stipen to use for them to repair the window. Def worth the cheaper bottom line IMO. I didn't get a chance to look at the nicer cars they have because I only need this car to go from point A to point B. I got what I was looking for at a great price. Thanks! read more

My Sister was involved in an accident that left her vehicle totaled. Being a single mom of 2 kids, she asked me to find her a vehicle and FAST!! After looking around at the usual dealer and used car lots, we ran across a listing for Silver Auto Sales. I couldnt be happier that we did! This is not like any other used car lot! You know what the car is going to cost out the door, if any repairs are needed and they pull a history report for you. The Ford Explorer we chose was perfect for her. The price was fair and she knew walking out the door what might need attention in the future (it was tires and new brake pads). The salesmen were nice, upfront and honest. We told them we wanted the car and 48 hours later with my sister in tow from Peoria, we left with her "new" vehicle. Its been a few months now, and we are very pleased to say we will be back. Went to Silver Auto in a time of need for a family vehicle per reference of a local repair shop. Found the in stock vehicles adequate, but the sales rep was a TOTAL condescending, arrogant, and disrespectful A$$!! The manager of the sales department emailed me with a follow up email, and I let him know about our experience. To the Sales Managers credit, I did get an email response offering detailing services. THE ONLY reason for the the second star is I did receive a cordial and repenting response. My advice, is to be weary..... explore other options first!! read more

This dealer has a variety of nice cars in their inventory and they are close to my home. Unfortunately, not every car is reasonably priced. Some are reasonable when the mileage is high, but others with lower mileage are usually priced at the high end of kelley's range. But the thing I found most disappointing is that Silver Auto wasn't really eager for sales. They refused to negotiate off their "internet price" claiming it only allowed a couple of hundred dollars profit. Pull the other one. I've bought cars, new and used, for over 35 years and I've been in sales myself for over 25 of those years. No used car dealer can successfully sustain a business with markups that low. I wondered if they if they thought I'd buy that line of BS because I'm female. So, I ultimately went to another dealer (29 miles away) who sold me a car that was a newer model with fewer miles listing for $200 less than Silver's price. I guess I should thank Silver for forcing me to have patience and spend time looking further afield so I wouldn't miss a real bargain. read more

This is the second time I have purchased a vehicle from Silver. Here are the things you must know. First, find a car you like, then look for similar cars on other websites...ebay motors, auto trader etc... Silver's prices are always lower. No haggling on price (a good thing). Second, no high pressure from sales guys. I called to inquire about a car, and they DID'NT even ask my name or phone number. Third, staff professional and courteous. I test drove a car, liked it, but there were a few things that needed attention...no problem for Silver, they fixed all issues. My salesman on both cars was Mike Carroll. Awesome!!! My husband and I found this place through CarGurus.com. We are very happy with our experience here. There is no pressure from the sales people and all were friendly. When we went to look at the car we were interested in they had it out front and waiting to take a drive. We did find a problem but they took care of it right away. We felt the price was good and their finance department guy was very helpful and knowledgeable. Super customer service and we felt good knowing they had good BBB ratings. We have suggested their place to a couple friends already. I bought a 2010 Ford Focus from Silver on 2/3/2016. I usually spend about an hour commuting every day, so I've spent a lot of time in the car since I bought it. I haven't noticed any mechanical issues or problems, but even after I bought the car I got an email from my salesperson saying that if I had any questions, I could contact Silver. Breakdown of the buying process: I made an appointment and got there late, but they were flexible with my schedule - they did not rush through my appointment. After meeting my salesman I got to test drive the car by myself - he took a scan of my drivers license and basically gave me the keys. My salesman was Mike Martin, and he was very helpful and friendly. Nobody at Silver was pushy - everyone, Joe, both Mikes, and Ron W., were all very friendly. The atmosphere is extremely laid back. Also, obviously before I went I did some research on the model of car I interested in, and I know got a great price - though that price was the sticker price, it was both comparable to other places and what the value of the car should be. You should know that Silver really isn't a place where you haggle, which fits my personality - what you see is what you get. I did have to go back the next day because they charged me for a new license fee instead of a license transfer fee - but they were the ones who caught that mistake, not me, and it actually saved me some money. The whole process was very transparent and honest. I have recommended buying from there to my co-workers, and I will definitely visit Silver in the future when I need a new car. read more

Awful service. Very disappointing. Not trustworthy. I had been in contact for about a week with sales person Ron Westerfield. He knew who I was and which vehicle I was interested in. I called on a Saturday evening to make sure the car was still in the inventory. I was told it was. So Monday morning I called to check again. Sales person, Mike, told me that the vehicles was still available. I let him know I would come by to look at it then. I then spoke with Ron Westerfield once more, talked about financing, and was given no indication that the vehicle was not available. So I drove over 3 HOURS to Silver Auto Sales. When I arrived I was told that someone made a deposit YESTERDAY, that a third party mechanic had already inspected the vehicle, and that the buyer would be at the dealership to buy it shortly. Very frustrated. If they can not be honest enough just to tell me that a vehicle is not available, I doubt they can be trusted to sell quality vehicles at an honest price. read more

Horrible experience. Called in the morning and made an appt to test drive a car at 5:30pm when I got off work. When I got there to test drive the car, they didn't know what was going on, why I was there and which car I was interested in. After waiting in the freezing cold with my 2 year old daughter, I finally went inside to warm up and the four people that were "working" didn't say a thing to me. The salesman returned with a piece of paper with all the cars they took to the auction that day. The one I made an appt to see was on the list. They never even called me to let me know. They wasted my time and were very unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I don't trust them, they're ALL about money and could care less about their customers. I never received an apology or an admittance that they were wrong. I continue to get emails from them that "all is fine and dandy" and they have unbeatable service and standards! What a bunch of crap. All they want is money and are very greedy. read more
