I'm glad my other reservation didn't work out because this place offered a couple key amenities that totally made the trip hassle free! For one, the staff is super friendly. They were accommodating to the early check in and late check out without the extra charge. They were very responsive to our questions and were so cheerful in their demeanor. The room itself is clean, organized and nice. You can tell that the staff maintain the rooms very well. The unit was peaceful. I am a light sleeper, but the place was quiet enough where I was able to get adequate hours of sleep. The thing that I love most about this place is the free shuttle service around the downtown Seattle area. This totally saved me a lot of money on cabs and saved me from getting lost with public transportation. So useful!!!! The divers were friendly and timely. Just make sure to call the hotel in advance regarding booking the shuttle. Only down side is no free breakfast. There is, however, a bar/restaurant right next door with a good happy hour. Overall, great price, location, staff and stay!!! I highly recommend to anyone visiting Seattle. read more

Great amenities, complimentary shuttle service, and great staff was fabulous. Shuttle takes you to Pike's Market, Pioneer Square right near the Underground Tour, and Westlake Shopping near the connecting Monorail to Space Needle. Free wifi throughout hotel! I actually enjoyed the restaurant (Jimmy's)... Not your average hotel restaurant! We loved the area for the restaurants, safe street (next to Seattle University) and sandwiched between major hospitals. Frustrating that the wall mounted tv at 45 degrees to he bed and virtually impossible to watch unless you sit in a chair on he other side of the room. No breakfast included. Ultimately the bad thing about this hotel is it's about 15 blocks away from the sights to see in downtown. (Hotel is located right between edge of downtown and Capitol Hill area) There are some great food places around the hotel area(Cafe Presse being one of them, 3 block walk), and a QFC(chain supermarket) located 2 blocks away(get your water and snacks HERE! much cheaper!) it is just too far to leisurely go back to your room to take a break and then go out again conveniently. (There's also a nice pool hall with lots of tables, and a small bowling alley with a lounge right underneath. During the school season it will be busy because it is suited for Seattle University's students) I would avoid Jimmy's restaurant unless you are plain lazy and refuse to sample the great food in the downtown area(Pike's Street Market) or even closeby. (Cafe Presse) It is also outrageous they would charge(especially at that price) for parking, being this hotel is not exactly in the downtown area but luckily we didn't drive. The free shuttle does make up for some things, though the return trip is more annoying. The shuttle is available at 6am, and then every half hour - but there are 4 half hour slots that the shuttle is not available(one being 11am, etc. etc.) The shuttle itself is a small conversion van so the seats inside are very packed(not those large ford cargo vans). However, I never had a problem as the van was never fully full on the times i went. The last van departs from the hotel at 10:30pm, and the last pickup is the 10:30 shuttle that drops off people. To me, it's much too early - especially weekends. However, returning is more annoying because you have to call the hotel to tell them where you are located. They have five designated pickup spots(chinatown, westlake, convention, pike market, and pioneer sqaure) but you can ask them for a pickup almost anywhere in downtown or even ask them to drop you off anywhere in downtown. The shuttle drivers were great - very courteous and informative. Please tip them a dollar for each piece of large luggage they carry for you. If you are generous you can tip them a dollar everytime they drive you, but my pockets are not deep. Free breakfast? What free breakfast? When I checked in they told me there was no free breakfast. However, based on some reviews it could be reserved for group rates or special reservations. However, the FREE TULLY'S COFFEE in the lobby was awesome and is available 24/7. In fact, I didn't get a chance to buy coffee at all downtown. The nearby hospital did not provide any nusicance for us, but we had our window doors closed and the ac on. The walls and ceiling are very soundproof but oddly the doors are made of light wood. The rooms itself is very modern and very clean. Absolutely loved the Aveda products. However, the blanket is those rough to the touch style. The business center has totally outdated computers. Though on DSL speed, the old computers slow down all apps. Expect one minute to usually load websites. However, the old printers work fine and all the tourist information guides are in the room too including maps. However, the rooms do offer free internet. Also free indoor pool and gym use. Did not have any problems with front staff. Professional and did not have any teenagers working behind. Also free apples and candy are on the counter. Large lobby with some Chi'n Dynasty statues. A great experience despite the distance. Highly recommended. read more

The website pics do not do the hotel/rooms justice! Initially, I was hesitant about staying here after looking at their website and reading reviews. But we had a good Priceline deal and wanted to be in a less touristy part of town. After our 2-night stay, I'm sold on this place! Besides the quiet location and rooms, the (small-ish) bathroom is very nicely designed (shower faces the room so no worries about waking the room next door with a late shower). Rooms are clean and spacious - ours had a flat screen TV, sitting chair and bench, 2 queen beds, desk, minibar with great 2nd sink, microwave, fridge and well stocked supply of towels and Aveda bath products. We had excellent front desk/shuttle service and definitely took advantage of the complimentary wi-fi in the rooms and free shuttle connecting you with 4 different downtown locations. Shuttles leave at a set time; you call for pick-up at a designated spot. The only slight negative is the on-site restaurant. We arrived late the first night and ordered room service. The food arrived quickly (pasta, tacos, soup), but was unexpectedly heavy on the oil, butter and cheese. Definitely didn't sit well in our stomachs right before bed! We'll be back! read more

My sister and I stayed here the day before the wedding since we were getting married at Seattle U's chapel. When we arrived that night, we had trouble getting in the garage since we didn't have access until we checked in and there was no way to get out. I called the front desk. The man was not happy or seemed to be understanding. He just let us through. Our room was big and clean. It was decent for the price. We had a nice time relaxing and preparing for the wedding there. We had a very pleasant stay at the Silver Cloud Hotel Broadway in August. In accordance with the request for a quiet room that I made at reservation, they put us in a room on the fifth floor that was indeed quiet.The room was very comfortable and well-designed. It didn't have any of the marks of damage-such as scratches on the walls, cracks in the tabletop surrounding the sink and brownish discoloration on the sides of the bathtub-that seem so common, even usual, in big hotels nowadays. It was the best hotel or motel room we've stayed in anywhere in recent years. The front-desk staff was very friendly and helpful. In particular, we got to know Samantha and chatted with her on several occasions, and she gave us a lot of useful information on many different subjects. Jimmy's on Broadway, the restaurant attached to the hotel, is only open for dining in starting from 3 P.M. but they will bring food to your room anytime from early morning on. I found their mango sorbet delicious and I had Jimmy's Breakfast with a blueberry muffin add on and I thought it was good, too-particularly the blueberry muffin. The hotel is located in a part of downtown Seattle that hasn't been too much affected by the frenzied building boom of recent years, and so still seems peaceful and inviting. It's convenient to major Seattle hospitals, not too far from Chinatown by streetcar and near historic old churches and other impressive-looking old buildings. read more

We just returned from a stay at the Silver Cloud - Broadway. I was very pleased with the hotel. It was very clean, quite reasonably priced, and secure. I was particularly impressed by the highly professional caliber of all staff members I encountered. There is another hotel in the area that is more architecturally distinguished, but the reviews were so mixed that I decided to avoid it. I will definitely stay at the Silver Cloud - Broadway again when I return to the area, which I do regularly. (I did not try the restaurant, so I cannot comment on that feature.) read more

Similar to other reviewers, I am stuck between giving this hotel a 3.5 stars out of 5. The location is definitely great, close to everything in Capitol Hill and a 25 min walk to the business/retail district of seattle. The wifi was solid throughout the hotel, very nice gym and pool area. The Beds were comfy enough and street noise was not a problem for us and we were overlooking broadway ave. Fantastic. Shuttle service is great - offering four drop offs/pick ups in key areas. From those spots you can walk just about anywhere in the main part of Seattle. One of the drivers was a bit annoying, but everyone else was super efficient and friendly. The front desk was always super sweet and they have a small "gift shop" selling super reasonably priced food and goodies. My friend was stuck on the ramen (super satisfying after a day and night of drinking!) The front desk even got her some Siracha from the restaurant. And no judgment at our 2am purchases. Jimmy's, the onsite bar & restaurant, was great. They've got good happy hour specials and we loved the Spire cider. Spent some time at their indoor pool (wish it was open later though) and enjoyed the relaxation. Hotel is also in walking distance to anything in the Capitol Hill area, lots of bars, restaurants, and ice cream shops (Seriously -- had no idea Seattleites were such fans of ice cream!) There's also a grocery store/pharmacy a quick walk down the road that's open 24 hours which came in handy when I ran out of contact solution. I would definitely come back here on another trip to Seattle. read more

All in all, a nice hotel but it seems that each positive has to be qualified with something. For example.... Very friendly staff (although not extremely knowledgeable of restaurants, local activities, events, etc.) Clean clean room (although housekeeping often forgot to stock coffee, soap, etc) Hotel gym exists but it's waaaaaaay small and the equipment doesn't work always. Dont get me started on the fact that I almost died from dehydration bc the water fountain never works. Jimmy's has great food but a little overpriced, especially if that's the only option in the hotel (but honestly, there are plenty of options w/in close walking distance). The place is a "healthy" walk from the major attractions but the shuttle works great, like clockwork, and the drivers are safe and really friendly. They don't say anything about it, but there is a town car to take guests to the airport for $40 flat. All in all, the general vibe of the place is inviting. During my recent stay in the Seattle area we stayed here than another hotel the other half of our stay. Not because we were unhappy here, simply because we went further out of Seattle. The front desk was very accommodating and the atmosphere was pleasant. They were not like other hotels meaning fired up on caffeine over jolly type of staff. The jacuzzi suite was great except it was not my bed. Very clean and spacious with enough towels, refrigerator, coffee brewer, fireplace, safe, microwave and side chair. The jacuzzi tube was very spacious. Although a part fell off the tub while I was in it. The water sensor thing. There is secure parking underground that you pay for which was odd to have to pay. The pool and exercise area was very clean. Although during winter months swimming and having to walk across the parking area was a bit cold. They supply extra towels for swimming or in the hot tub and the fitness area provides water. The lobby area does have a small corner that has soft drinks, chips, candy, etc for a fee. I have stayed at other hotels that do not charge for these items and others that do. Overall the price was standard accept having to pay for parking. read more

Enviironment: 2 blocks away from restaurants, stores, and bars in capitol hill. 5-10 minute drive to downtown seattle. In hotel restaurant with happy hour. Customer service: Got every question answered and request serviced during our 2 night 3 day stay in seattle. Staff was perfect. Room: we had a standard king size bed room on the third floor. Everything seemed clean, we had a refrigerator and the tv channels we usually watch when we took a break from roaming the city. Hotel: the downstairs area was nice because of the sofas, fireplace, and tv. The hot tub/ swimming pool area was indoor and a nice temperature, but the hot tub wasn't working correctly. This didn't stop me from giving this hotel a 5 star because of its shuttle service. This service alone made this hotel perfect because i did not have a car while in seattle. Tip: when using the shuttle service from the hotel, let the front desk know when you need the shuttle as early as possible to ensure that you will get your ride on time. Price: my gf got this hotel on priceline via express deals so we got it for %35 off, which made this hotel stay a great value. The location of this hotel is right in the center of Capitol Hill and is so accessible to all hospitals around here and lots of restaurants and bars. I used the shuttle service to go to Pioneer Sq. The shuttle goes to Pike Place Market too! The rate could be a little bit pricy, but the room with jacuzzie is just awesome, and the large pool in the basement was nice and quiet. All the staff members were friendly, and the continental breakfast had a descent variety. I think parking $16 is reasonable considering the good location, but if you are desparate to get a free parking, good luck finding. read more

I am staying at the Silver Cloud Inn three Saturdays in a row in October. I have stayed at the Silver Cloud on South Lake Union a few times, but I think I like this property better. During my first stay, I had a room with two double beds. The room was spacious and well equipped with a work desk, small refrigerator, two-cup coffee maker, large flat screen TV, and microwave oven. I was never bothered by noise from other rooms or the hall. It was pleasantly quiet. :-) During my second stay i was in a King room. Not quite as spacious as the double, but still more than adequate. Free wireless and wired internet are included. Underground self-parking is $16 a night. A relative steal in the downtown Seattle area! The hotel is located on Capitol Hill on Broadway and Madison across from Seattle University. There are many stores, restaurants and bars within an easy walking distance from the hotel. While not being "downtown" per se, it is still very close I took the hotel's free shuttle to the Mariners game, and caught a taxi back for $10 including tip. On my most recent stay I took the hotel's shuttle to the Husky game. The shuttle dropped us off at Montlake and SR 520. A short walk to the stadium. The cab ride back to the hotel was $15. The hotel's staff was friendly and helpful. They made me feel at home during my stay. I am looking forward to next Saturday! read more

Overall, this is my favorite place to stay in Seattle, or has been until late. The Silver Cloud is on Lake Union, and if you get a waterview room has a great view, watching the Kenmore Air planes take off and land. Just down the block is a wonderful bakery for breakfast. The only reason I pull back on my review is their rates have jumped significantly. This trip I was able to stay at the Marriott Renissance for 160/night, and a waterview room here was 250. At under 200, it would have been a good deal, at 250, well, I don't spend enough time in a hotel room. read more

The hotel staff were very friendly and made me feel at home. I found this place and Seattle to be so charming. We may just visit for the fun of it, and we will certainly stay at this hotel. The room was /spotless/, stocked with Aveda products, had a nice big tub and a fridge, plus a friendly staff when we checked in and - because we swapped hotels at the last minute due to a hot-water issue at our other hotel (and we will be getting to them in another review, I assure you) - they even comped a night of parking. This alone makes it almost four stars in Seattle, especially for the $179 we paid (on Bumbershoot/Penny Arcade weekend, thank you very much). Fourth star is hung around the valiant shoulders of Chris on the day staff. When we had a serious pregnancy-low-blood-sugar issue on our hands, Chris went to the closed restaurant himself, sweet-talked someone into a big bowl of black beans with cheese (what we were hoping for) and personally delivered it to the room in under five minutes. First, 90% of the staff is absolutely the sweetest ... lovely hotel and I really loved the shuttle service (please note they offer four locations, I believe for pickup or drop-off - we took advantage of this and went to Pike's Market - so awesome). The location was spectacular for our event. I'm so grateful it even worked out that they had a kid's car seat. Nice touch Silver Cloud. If you're looking to do touristy items, you're a bit of a walk from a lot of the places, if not a car ride. Be aware and map out items. We were staying in the Capitol Hill area so it was perfect for our needs and there are a ton of great places to eat nearby. For parents or anyone: when booking a room, the second floor is VERY noisy with street traffic (AVOID AVOID), and the room we had, the door wasn't the right size for the entry and it was so bright in our room from the hallway light. The street traffic and constant ambulances were really distracting. We had voiced about having two kids with us and a baby. Not an issue, we got a port-a-crib, and the room was a king with a pull out ... I was told it was a queen. This is NOT the case. I travel a ton, and if this was a full size even, I'm in shock. It's a love seat pull out and can only fit one person. Resolve: the gentleman at the front counter, even though I was being kind, but was stating facts of the room not working as I was told, got very defensive and argumentative with me, but did resolve our situation and moved us to the fourth floor. Honestly, I should be the one that was mad, because I researched, in advance that this could hold four people with a baby. He would not let go of the fact that this was a queen pull-out (it's not and I have photos) and at this point, I went from discussion to furious. He seemed just in a mood to dig his heels in ... not cool and there was no need. I really want to give 2 to 3-stars because I didn't sleep at all the first night. It was awful. No roll-out bed options here either (which is fine, but stunk at the time) ... and I wasn't about to disrupt my young family in the middle of the night. Our room on the fourth floor was perfection. Dark (no gaping door hallway light), beautiful bay window, two queens and a baby bed = happiness. Noise level was significantly reduced. There is a ton of ambulance traffic as we're the route near the hospital. My kids loved the pool and my husband and I loved the location. If you're parking a car, be aware of the additional fee. The hotel though openly warns about this as well. Very narrow and low garage, be careful. Gated parking structure which is nice and seems secure. read more

I stayed here for 3 nights for during my wedding week and had the best experience. We stayed in a King Suite which offered a nice, comfortable lay-out to accommodate the bridesmaids and I getting ready (6 of us plus stylists!). The room had a great flow to it and was immaculate and even though we're in the middle of capital hill there was no outside noise. Silver Cloud offered nice amenities, wifi and fluffy towels- a must have for me :) The staff was super friendly and the room service was delicious. They were great about accommodating our needs, from a late check out to bringing tape and scissors up to hang a "Just Married" sign. My family and I had such a drama tonight. We were completely locked out of our own place in Capitol Hill because we forgot the keys to our home. Sadly, none of the locksmiths (and we must have called 10+ places) would return our call so late at night...so we ended up walking around and booking a night stay at Silver Cloud at the very last minute. Turned out we were a bit unlucky (or lucky?...) that the hotel was so booked tonight that there was just the 1 last room available for $239 a night plus tax (a bedroom-suite..e.g. the more expensive ones). The discount rate was no longer available as this was the last room and, therefore, only full price was applicable. We had no other choices late into the night and ended up taking it.The room, to our surprise, was actually really nice. We had Aveda products in our bathroom. The living room was clean and came with complementary Internet access (you get free wireless password/access code as well as wired internet). If you don't want to walk outside to get food from nearby restaurants or QFC (there are plenty of choices!), room service is also available until 11pm on weekdays. Security seemed to be quite decent as there was always staff at the front desk. You also need to swipe a key card once you get into an elevator to get to the floor you want. I actually drove by this place many times before but didn't realize it's actually quite a clean, decent hotel. Staff was courteous and polite. The guy at the front desk even went out of his way to personally help us with anything to could when we told him we were completely locked out of our home for the night. Even though the hotel is on Broadway and is right next to Seattle Univ campus, during our stay, we we didn't hear any noises from outside at all. My experience with them totally changed my perception of this hotel (I initially thought it was just another local motel...but after this visit/check in..I realized the hotel is much much better than I thought it was. I wouldn't mind staying here or putting some guests there for proximinity to Capitol Hill area next time either). read more

I loved staying at silver cloud broadway. The cleanliness of the room was superb. The towels were bright white, very good water pressure in the shower and excellent drainage in the tub! The last two are what's missing at most of the big hotels chains around the country (Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, etc) but Silver Cloud had everything I consider what a good hotel should have! I loved this place! Free wi-fi, free parking, free fresh and good coffee in the lobby all the time. Fitness facility was very clean and well equipped, if a bit awkward to access. The rooms were spacious, clean and obviously new. Cool furnishings, great bedding, Aveda toiletries, mini-fridge, wet bar, microwave. All really nice touches. Their shuttle runs a lot and to most everywhere you want to go. I personally liked the neighborhood, but there are two things to consider: there's a hospital within a couple of blocks, and ambulances passing by are the norm. If you can get a room not facing the main streets (Madison and Broadway), you'll be better off but miss the scenery. The other thing is the neighborhood. Capitol Hill is really cool because it's not touristy. My kind of place, but maybe not everyone's kind of place. Just saying. read more

Came here to do some college visits and Silver Cloud Hotel-Broadway is right across from Seattle University. The hotel staff was very nice and made us feel very comfortable. Although, we came in pretty early and couldn't check in, but that was alright as we went to explore the city more though out the day. They gave us a call when the room was ready, which was very helpful. We came back and got to our room and it was VERY spacious and CLEAN. The bathroom was pretty nice, although it took some time for me to figure out how to turn on the hot water, but I figured it out. Jimmy's downstairs was amazing!!! They had great food. IHOP next door, wasn't so great but very convenient as it is 24 hours. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here and I would definitely come again. read more

Literally stop looking and book the hotel. The area is perfect and super bonus is that they provide a free shuttle to all of the hot spots in downtown Seattle. The shuttle takes about 15ish minutes and is a comfortable ride. We always made sure to tip out friendly drivers! Only a couple of blocks down is a supermarket and you can pick up your waters and snacks for the hotel room. They have FREE washer and dryers for you to use on every floor. We brought Tide Pods and so doing our laundry was free and couldn't have been more convenient. Housekeeping always had our room clean when we returned from exploring Seattle. Front desk knew the answers to everything we needed! They helped us coordinate a private town car to take us to the airport at 5am!!! The cost was $45 from the hotel to the airport which was cheaper than Uber or Lyft! Bars, restaurants, little shops are all near by and whatever is not close, you can just shuttle to with the free shuttle. Takes you to Space Needle and Pikes Place Market, and the mall! Pool is no longer but it's ok we had plenty to keep us busy. Great stay! read more

The Silver Cloud Hotel on Broadway is in an excellent location with a variety of restaurants within walking distance in the heart of downtown Seattle. The staff were all friendly/polite, the breakfast was delicious in the restaurant, and the facilities/room were all clean and updated (there are also extremely well-constructed windows that can be opened). A colleague has stayed here on visits for years and recommended it--I totally agree with this being a great place to stay in the downtown Seattle area (and at a nice value). read more

At the end of May, I fled the Baroness Hotel (go see scathing review) and booked in at the last minute through the desk - $129 weeknights and $179 weekend. A bit pricey for a glorified motel without a restaurant, but it was spotless and the staff very nice. Also had a limited free shuttle service to two Swedish Hospital venues, Pike's Market, Downtown and the stadium. People: show some class and tip the driver, staff - there is a depressed economy there-do not assume all these nice helpful people lavishing attention on you are making a living wage - help out! Plus: it is on the #12 bus line and you can zip up to Trader Joe's for provisions or down pretty close to the waterfront and then navigate or transfer just for fun. Lazy, I took the bus and shuttles UP the hills and enjoyed the walks back down. They were getting ready to open a restaurant at the hotel, so maybe you have more options than the iHop and the chilled section at CVS :) read more

We booked a king bed on the 6th floor. The king mattress is old. It sinks all over and offers no support. The pillows on the king bed are very small. They are smaller than a queen size pillow so possibly a standard. There are no extra pillows in the closet so if you like to read sitting up in bed you might want to ask for a couple more. Plus with the poor mattress I needed a pillow under my legs. I did ask the front desk about changing to a room with a newer mattress and they said all the mattresses are the same age. The front desk kindly sent up two guys to place some thin wood slats under the top mattress but unfortunately the top mattress is so far gone that we couldn't feel any difference. If you need a good mattress don't book here until you check to see if they have replaced their mattresses. 2. No coffee service in the lobby. Paid $5.00 for two coffees in the adjoining restaurant to carry up to the room. The restaurant entrance has no signage or host welcoming hotel guests to get coffee so it was odd to have to flag down a waiter and ask for coffees to go. Honestly, in the morning, I don't want to walk farther than the lobby. The next day we bought a milk to put in the coffee that we could make in our room. Overall, not bad but when paying over $250 a night incl. taxes, etc., I expect a good mattress and adequate pillows. I also appreciate a guest coffee and muffin station in the lobby even if I pay for it. Those two details are customary at a hotel at this price point so we will find better options in the future. read more

There were blood stains on the sheets. I informed the front desk and didn't even receive an apology basically said "ok we'll change them" like it's a common occurrence. Would not recommend going back unless you really need a place to sleep on cap hill. read more

I am very picky when it comes to the hotels I stay at. I had never stayed at a Silver Cloud Hotel, but was pleasantly surprised! I am not sure how old/new this hotel is, but it is clean, modern and nice. The rooms are spacious and comes with a microwave and fridge, which is a bonus! They also have a fitness center and pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have snacks/drinks available for purchase in the lobby, which is convenient. The location is great and within walking distance to many fantastic eateries. AND there is a Whole Foods Market coming soon that'll be just across the street. Very happy with our stay, location and cleanliness. read more

I stayed at the silver cloud before & was able to hook up my Xbox to there tv, but this time round the tv was bolted to wall unable to get to the hdmi. Their reason was liability purpose which make me think what happened to t.v. before because it was that long ago I stay here. Also pricing is horrible I think it best to stay at days inn especially with the complimentary breakfast they have. read more

Room was terrific. Bed was soft and big. Jacuzzi tub was awesome. We had a great view. We got a card and free parking because it was our anniversary. Overall a great experience except for the room service order. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Go out to eat. read more

Great service in a great hotel. Not the cheapest but so close if you are there to visit Seattle University or Seattle itself. Parking is expensive but secure and the room service is great too. Immaculate rooms and plenty of space as well! The new Whole Foods right across the street is the best perk! read more

Most money I have ever spent to stay in a dive and be treated like an afterthought. It would have saved money and made a lot more sense to stay in the ghetto and take a taxi to the Capital Hill area. List of issues below: 1) Hard to get into, the entrance is across a bike path mass transit mess. There were people standing in the middle of it so that made it hard to see while driving by. 2) Transients wandering around and into the lobby. 3) Sirens and screaming people outside. The only thing it was missing was gunshots or it would have been the full on ghetto experience. 4) World's thinnest windows, on the fourth floor the sirens and screaming sounded like they were in the room with me, so not much sleep. 5) Woke up in the middle the night, in between being woke up by sirens and screaming people outside, by the sound of a man walking down the hall and retching like he was or was trying to vomit. 6) Pool and workout facilities require you to go outside, across the entrance to the garage, and into another building with your key and there are no changing rooms there. Poor design at best even in the warmer months. 7) Woke up in the morning by the fire alarm going off and building being evacuated! 8) Didn't even get to take a morning shower, thanks to evacuation. 9) Didn't get to drink the coconut water I purchased, and they put on my room tab, because it was in the fridge when I had to evacuate. 10) The effort to make it all right? They refunded the parking they tacked on to the over priced room. *Update* They refunded the entire stay after seeing this review. A place to sleep in between sirens, screams, retching guests, and fire alarms with no morning shower for over $250. Not a good value in my book. This did not come close to comparing to any of the stays I have had at other Silver Cloud hotels. Avoid this like the plague. Unless you hate bathing, sleeping and being treated like a human this is not a place worth staying. read more

OK so here's the story. A co worker and I went to an event on the hill and over partied (imagine that) so being in no condition to safely drive we went to the SC Broadway. FIrstly they charged me $254 for a room including $16 for parking. Parking charge ...what the hell? SO anyway I guess they dont really like people that party even if we are well into our 40's and basically responsible adults and they treated us like shit. The new room card reader you have to use to make the elevator run sucks leaving us stuck between the 4th and 5th floors for nearly 10 minutes. When I told the front desk I was told "oh its a new system, we are still working out the bugs" DUH... When I review my credit card statement online there is a additional $272 charge so I call them. They tell me they think I smoked in the room so that is a "deep cleaning fee" as its a non smoking hotel. To the best of my knowledge no one smoked in the room but I wasnt there all the time so couldnt swear to it. None the less leaving me with a bill for $526 for one night in a hotel with rock hard beds is shitty at best. I'm still fighting with the management about the charge and expect a call from one up the higher ups today... All in all " I am not amused nor impressed with SC Broadway" Update~ Well I ended up paying the entire bill , all $526 of it. Do not stay here. read more
