Silver Creek park served as a convenient pit stop for my family during our road trip. Although it differed from my initial expectations of a kids' play park (I think that might have been across the street but I had hangry kids in the backseat and didn't want to keep driving around), the large empty field offered various adult exercise areas and my kids ended up having fun just running around the empty field. The clean restroom and water bottle refilling station were a welcomed amenity. Shaded tables and benches provided a comfortable spot for us to enjoy our lunch. While not the playground I had anticipated, the abundance of squirrels added an unexpected element of entertainment. In the end, Silver Creek park fulfilled its purpose for a brief break, even if it deviated from my initial idea. A solid four-star stop for its amenities and unexpected charm. read more

I needed a park with a covered picnic table to block the wind as it was cold and windy. Silver Creek Linear Park came through that day! Since indoor dining is not allowed at the Kickin' Crab, we hauled our goodies to this park, which wasn't far. It's a nice park with a tennis court, basketball court, and people were playing volleyball. I felt safe. There were also trash cans nearby and the restroom was decent for a public restroom meaning it had soap and plenty of paper towels, which was needed for washing the Kickin' Crab sauce off my hands. The parking lot size is decent, although I can imagine it could get full if it's a busy day at the park. If that should happen, there's always the neighborhood across the street where you can probably park your car somewhere. read more

Only based on the running trail! I didn't use my application to see how far it was, but I usually start at the basketball courts and run to the park through the little forest then uphill on an incline to the park. I must say its pretty short, but a good workout. I just run back and forth. Restrooms at the park too! Going through the little trail there's a lot of bugs during this time of year so funny thing is when I run I keep my mouth closed or some protein will enter... Haha! This is one of my most favorite parks here in San Jose. I don't live near it, but when Im in the area, I always include a visit to this beautiful park! It's a go to place to have lunch, go on a nature walk on the trail which is surrounded with beautiful plants and trees. Love the simple things in Life! read more

This is a great little park tucked away in the Silver Creek hills. Back in high school we'd sometimes ditch first period, stop by Starbucks then come here to waste some time. So when I was driving by the other day, I pulled into the lot to take a look around. Lots has changed! The parking lot was almost full, with a pickup game happening on the basketball court and a party going on in the BBQ area. The tennis courts were packed and there were people waiting their turn to play. I've never seen it this busy! Even though summer is now officially over and it's starting to get chilly outside, I'm happy to report that this great, clean park is still in full swing! After a walk around, I decided that it would still be a good cutting class spot in the early morning hours (but I'm happy people are putting it to better use than I did). read more

The boyfriend and I threw our first birthday barbeque here with some friends and this was the perfect location. If you're planning on having a small party, as well as want large space for outdoor activity, this park is a sweet find. I love it when convenience meets fun functionality. The list of within the radius of our gazebo: 1. Four picnic tables 2. Two grills (built for little people...) 3. A fairly clean bathroom (you know how dangerous public ones can be, so be grateful if you can do your business in there without fear) 4. Two water fountains 5. Nearby trash cans AND recycling bins (a huge plus for being eco-friendly!) Ample parking was a benefit - since we had to carry a lot of food and ice chests to the picnic area. In addition to the large grassy lawn (where we played summer classic games like "Steal the Bacon" and water balloon toss), the park also comes with a basketball court, tennis court, and one of those fun exercise courses with the bright colors. All sorts of fun for the eaters, the ballers, the wannabe Serena & Venus', and the grass lovers. It's a good place to stretch before a morning jog. I personally don't like waiting for the light at the cross streets. The little bars and benches can be over crowded by fit/buff dudes... most of the time they move out of the way for ladies to do their business and they go back to work out again. I think these guys are used to a quick stretch at the bars. It's also a good place to start jogging, there are some paths up and around the park, I use it when I know the paths won't be crowded with mom and grandparents pushing baby strollers, usually early morning or late evenings are best to go this way. There are sometimes pet's leaving their business on the paths/roads, so be careful, don't move out of the way just step up and over it, sometimes there are bikers, and I would scoot to the side without realizing there's a biker on the other side of me. I prefer dog poop over bruises from a bicyclist. read more

Tennis courts are always full with regulars, so I end up having to go play at evergreen college or silver creek hs. Basketball court is usually open- full court, nice to shoot around or play a game but it gets pretty hot! No shade so bring that water and sunscreen! If anyone knows what time the regulars get there or leave let me know so I can beat them to the court! read more

I lived in the area for years but I've only came here once or twice. That's going to change for sure. A couple of my high school buddies and I are going to host a basketball session every Thursday morning just because we are trying to be great. They have working water fountains, clean restrooms, picnic tables, plenty of parking, a big field for activites, and a running trail for people who jog in the morning. They have a beautiful full basketball court & a couple tennis courts. This looks like a perfect place to have a birthday party or just a place to chill during summer. read more

This park is decent in size. We went there when someone had booked up the tables for a baby shower and they were super nice enough share their space. A few big toys for kids to play on. there is also a few trails. Bathroom is big, but during out time there someone clogged the toilet. read more

Good for a quick stroll, lots of bugs once you go under the trees but this place holds good memories for me.

Been living across the street here for my entire life. The tennis courts are always filled which sucks ! And there's only one area to sit, but other than that this park has everything you need. They have a bathroom , basketball court, and various obstacles to exercise. There is a trail in the back that is short and shaded. read more

Silver Creek Linear Park is a great place for so many activities. There is a picnic area where you can bbq and have a potluck. There are also 2 big grass fields which we have used to play volleyball. In addition there is a full size basketball court. There are also tennis courts but I don't recall how many there are. Parking is good with a lot as well as street parking if it fills up. read more

I go to this park a lot and in the winter time when it is less crowded it is fine, but there is a big group of Vietnamese men who occupy the tennis court almost all morning and afternoon and if they are not playing tennis they are hanging out around the tennis court smoking. The grounds around there is littered with their cigarette butts. I've noticed this area has gotten a lot dirtier since they've been around, plus you could never get a tennis court at a decent time anymore. Time to find another park I think. read more

Where tennis is concerned, there are about 40 or so regulars as far as I can tell. They're mostly middle aged Vietnamese gents. I've seen some of them show up as early as 7am. Mostly they're there starting around noon (7 days a week) and play cards until it cools off enough to play. From what my friend tells me, they're very friendly and will make room for others to play. He also told me to avoid the upper court as they like to play for a little bit more than just pride (usually a can of tennis balls). The lower court is where the "amateurs" play. read more

I don't live that close to this area but when I'm visiting family or friends who do live close by, we often come here. I also used to take tennis lessons as a child at this park. It's pretty clean and the lawn is well-kept. It also features a basketball court and exercise stations for those who want to work out outdoors. It has a good amount of space if you want to play soccer or any other sports on the lawn. Since the fire station is right next to the park, I kind of feel more of a sense of safety when coming here. Having pokestops and a gym here is also a plus!! It's not too crowded, so this place is great for small get-togethers or even a BBQ. read more

i play basketball here on the weekdays around 5-8pm. its very clean and good parking lot space. if you do want to exercise this park has a tennis courts, mtn biking trails, running area, and of course a basketball court. read more

It's a beautiful park that has been remodeled with new tennis courts, basketball courts, and grass area. There is also a firestation at the corner of the park. If you come early, you can hold a stop for some private BBQing. read more

It's a nice park, but make sure that you return to your car before "official " sunset, which is different for each day, not the time when it actually getting dark; otherwise you will get a citation for $200 just for a few minutes to be late! read more

sooo many memories at this park. basketball games from sun up till sundown during the summer. just wish they had another court because you have about 15 people waiting for the game on the court to end! i had many a BBQ here. its a good place to throw a little BBQ and hang out with friends during the summer. read more
