I had a wonderful lunch at Silver Diner. It was a beautiful day so I opted to sit outside for my meal. Silver Diner has a spacious patio, not much of a view as it looks out towards the surrounding streets. However sitting outside was still very peaceful and serene. I ordered a Triple Peach Soda to start, I did not love this drink as the peach puree was very sweet and a little artificial tasting. For my meal I ordered a patty melt with a turkey patty substitution instead of a beef patty. That patty melt was amazing! It is hard to find places that have turkey burger options for non-beef eaters and Silver Diner makes a mean turkey burger. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked, not the grey lifeless turkey patty that you might receive elsewhere. I ended my meal with my favorite Silver Diner cocktail, the Tropical Sidecar. It's such a smooth drink and you can still taste the liquor without the liquor overpowering the drink. Javier was my server and he provided 10/10 service. Any request I had was fulfilled quickly and he made sure to check on me frequently, while also giving me space to enjoy my meal. Free parking (words everyone loves to hear) in the garage connected to the building that houses the restaurant. Parking in the blue section of the garage will put you close to the elevator that will take you right outside Silver Diner.

Silver diner never seems to disappoint. It's always good food and great vibes at their locations. I have been here several times and I always leave with only good things to say about this restaurant.keep it up Silver Diner.

The drinks, the food, and the service at this restaurant was really surprisingly great. It has that step back into history vibe with a hint of modern. Great music played in the background, so many different people from different walks of life. Great for large group small groups and singles. They even have a bar area like they had an old diners. But don't get it twisted, this place is definitely far from an old diner. Definitely an upgraded version. food and drinks were delicious across the board. I was enjoying so much conversation with friends I forgot to take pictures of the food. We ordered appetizers and shared with the group while we were drinking. It was a great great experience. Would come here again definitely.

Food here is generally good. Bonus is the staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Also, there's free parking just below the restaurant. Setting is nice enough to join family and friends. While I like most things I've had here, I wasn't big on the lemon chicken piccata. I found it dry and not really that flavorful. My son did really enjoy his chicken pot pie.

The buffalo breakfast was unbelievable! I did not know what to expect but buffalo meat is a long term culinary favorite for us natives. It tasted delicious with every balanced bite of spice and heat. I thought I was back in Dances with Wolves with Wind in His Hair with a Mexican sombrero though, not a cavalry hat. Service was quick, on time, and the look of the place was a calm, casual dining ambiance at a great location.

First visit and I enjoyed the patio seating. The service was excellent and the food was delicious

I wish I could give no stars. Our waitress was very nice but no help at all. I spent just under $75 dollars and did not enjoy 1 thing. every item I had came out cold. This Was at 4 in the afternoon the restaurant was next to dead. the food is not good what's so ever. PLEASE save your money and just grab McDonald's atleast it will be hot and not cost as much for something unsatisfying. I have pictures for proof!!!!

I ordered the steak (sliced steak with mushrooms) , and it was excellent ....well-seasoned, flavorful, and cooked just right. The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. We also got the crab and corn chowder, which is always outstanding. Rich, comforting, and packed with flavor every time. Key lime pie .... on point .... oh and a salad. i got the chopped salad and added the ever so good goats cheese. Everything was EXCELLENT. What I appreciate most about Carlisle is the consistency. Whether I'm dining in or picking up takeout, the food is always good. Not just okay BUT actually flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. That's harder to find than it should be these days. I've been here many MANY times over the years and the experience is consistently excellent. The service is great when dining in, pickup is always smooth and efficient, and the food never disappoints. Carlyle continues to be one of those reliable places that simply gets it right. And whenever I pick up my to go order the bar is always crowded with folks looking like they are having a great time. That should tell you something. Highly recommended.

We were celebrating an old friend's birthday, so I wanted a special evening. We went to the Signature to see "Safety Not Guaranteed" which was so good and so much fun. Then on to dinner at Carlyle in Shirlington. Carlyle always pumps out some of the most satisfying meals. You are almost guaranteed to love what the kitchen presents you with. This event was no different. I started with the crab & corn chowder. Thick, luxurious, savory perfection! My main course was Jambalaya Pasta which was outstanding. The chicken was moist, the shrimp was perfectly prepared and the andouille sausage added a perfect piquant note. The creamy sauce finished a great dish. There was so much that I could not eat it all (and I usually eat everything that is placed in front of me). But the best - the ABSOLUTE BEST - part of the evening was our perfect server Sebastian. He was professional, friendly, fast, funny, helpful and everything you want in a server. Plus, he did it all with one of the best personalities that I have ever come across in a server. At one point, we were all laughing so hard, that he had to sit down because he was ready to fall over. He served us, yes! But more than that - he ENTERTAINED US!!!! How often has that ever happened to you??? It is a night that I will not soon forget! Sebastian is a smart guy who will no doubt go far in his life. But, for now, for right now, he is at the top of his game at Carlyle! If you love Carlyle, you will absolutely LOVE Sebastian. Please ask to be placed in his station. I promise he will not disappoint you. Thank you, Sebastian, for making my evening wonderful and for making my BFF's birthday dinner a stunning success, thanks to you!!!! I highly recommend Carlyle - and especially Sebastian - to one and all!

When we walked in, we thought it was gonna be packed because there were no reservations on OpenTable however they were able to see us right away. A very nice touch to add a stem of Rose for the women. I would say that I gave it a lower star rating not because the food was bad. It was actually delicious, but probably the experience itself. The restaurant felt chaotic, and even though all the tables were not completely packed of course there were flowers everywhere people gathering with grandmother's mother's children, etc We were seated in a two people table and all the top past dishes started to pile up very quickly. Instead of monitoring, the progress of the finished dishes and removing those dishes due to space constraint, the dishes came from the kitchen, almost on top of one another, and at one point I had to hold a dish in my hand in order to make space to put a dish on top of another flatbread pan/dish, making things super chaotic. Also dishes had to be put on top of the menu because in order to order additional food, you need to leave at least one copy of the menu at the table. Overall, again the flavors and taste were good, though I might have had similar dishes from other places, and my partner commented that some of it is actually very close to the Capital One landing at DCA. I would just say that it was more due to the chaos and just the way that all the dishes piled up on top of us we felt like we were we had to eat super quickly so that we could stack dishes ourselves and create room at the table. Also, when serving the dishes were not kept level and basically was slide to the side of the dish, making presentation off

My friend enjoyed the avocado tartine and Brûlée grapefruit. Convenient parking garage, where you take the elevator up to the restaurant. $5 on the weekend

The view itself is quite impressive and beautiful; it's a 5 out of 5! Frankly, the view helped bump my rating up to a 4 as it was really a 3.5 overall experience. We were greeted by a server that shared that he was not our server, but dropped off two waters for us. He later passed us again and told us our server would be with us soon, after some more time had passed we asked him for straws for our water and then our waitress came back with those requested straws. She didn't greet us, but rather said here are the straws you asked for, would you like anything to drink. I asked her if she was our server and she confirmed, but I was disappointed that she didn't greet us/welcome us, ask us if this was our first time, tell us her name or at minimum independently communicate she would be our server. My husband ordered a drink, I did not and then eventually we put in our orders - deviled eggs trio (one with smoked salmon, one with bacon and one with salmon), I got the crab benedict and my hubby got the salmon and grits. Both of our meals were good and cooked well, however they both lacked flavor and w found ourselves reaching for the salt and pepper multiple times. The deviled eggs trio on the other hand, was delicious and the star of the show. All in all, I can honestly say, I will definitely be back as the views are fantastic and I truly feel the food is better than what we experienced.
