Great service! We came here late at night ready for some food and were very happy with the selection! Tons of great food options from breakfast to steak to seafood and all decently priced for the area. Lots of good drink and ice cream options too. We really enjoyed the caramel French toast

Great place for a proper breakfast and right across the street from Nationals stadium! The decor is classic diner with chrome and upholstered booths. The avocado toast featured truly fresh cut avocado topping, surprising because you might expect an operation this slick to have a shipped-in avocado drizzle in a tube. But not here - everything's freshly made and they even have gluten-free pancakes. The service was super fast - Karen took our order and seconds later it was with the kitchen staff. It's tops if you're crunched for time and staying in Navy Yard!

The patty melt at Silver Diner is delicious and can be customized with a turkey or chicken burger. The rye bread and caramelized onions are perfectly paired together. As per usual, the service was great!

Great Silver Diner location. Many vegan options on the menu, including milkshakes. The vegan eggs Benedict is always my favorite (and my nonvegan colleague agreed it was yummy!). We sat outside and had good service (albeit probably slower than if we had eaten inside). The location is as close as you can get to the ballpark so it was fun to watch everyone parade in for this evening's game. Inside has cool vintage diner vibes.

Great food service and ambiance. The meatloaf was so tender. You won't be disappointed. Great portions too.

We hit Silver Diner post baseball game to eat and kill a bit of time for the postgame crowd to clear out! We got seated right away and our server was attentive. I had a cookies and cream milkshake, which was a generous portion. I enjoyed the caesar (also a big portion!) and my parents liked their burgers. The menu is pretty expansive and gives a kinda cheesecake factory/TGI fridays feel, definitely chain-y. However I love a diner so would definitely come back and try brunch!

    Quinoa Coconut Pancakes

I met a friend for a breakfast before a soccer game and it wasn't too packed around 9am on a Saturday. The quinoa and coconut pancakes aren't your standard diner pancakes but they're very tasty and have a unique texture due to the quinoa and coconut in the batter. The pancakes include of course quinoa and coconut and also blue berries pecans, grilled banana and strawberries. It's a good portion and they're filling without leaving you in a sugar coma. They also come with a fruit cup which goes well with the pancakes. Service was fast and friendly here. Add an Irish coffee and you've got yourself a breakfast that's worth a try before a soccer game. I enjoyed my meal here and will come back.

The Lumberjack Breakfast leaves you wanting more. It's your classic diner meal with pancakes, eggs, potatoes and meat, but by the end, I wanted more -- a testament to both the quality and portion size. Every bite was fantastic, but I wish the pancakes were larger and there was a little more of everything. Other than the portion size, everything else, from the service to the ambiance to the variety on the menu, was great.

Super good food, super good environment, and nice and clean. Friendly staff and reasonable pricing. Can't ask for more. They have a really big focus on organic and that is great. For breakfast I had organic bison hobos rancheros. Super awesome dish.

One of my favorite places to eat in the DMV. This location is nice and new and across the Washington Nationals Ball park so a really cool vibe. Service was absolutely fantastic, quick and friendly. The upstairs area was really nice and outdoor seating was available as well. Food was hot , fresh and large portions. I am stuffed !

    "Au Jus"

I have to say that this definitely could've been a better experience. I visited with a friend. We both ordered the mimosa flight. I selected 2 tropical, mango, and watermelon cucumber. - The tropical mimosa was not what either of us expected. I twas thick and full of mint shreds. The combination made it difficult to drink. It reminded us of a bloody mary, in a way. -The mango was decent. -The watermelon cucumber was okay. I ordered the crabcake melt that came with a lobster jus and fries. The crab cake was very herbaceous. It was borderline too much. It didn't leave much for it to taste like crab. When the plate came out, the sandwich was cold. Mind you, there were only 5 guests in the restaurant, including myself and my friend. In addition to the sandwich being cold, the lobster "jus" was not good at all. It had obviously been sitting for a minute because it developed a film on top. When I brought it to the attention of the waiter, he took my plate. We watched him walk my plate behind the counter and put the bowl of sauce into the microwave. Ew. When he returned, we asked if I could receive a new bowl reheated properly, as opposed to him reheating that bowl. He advised us that they make the sauce in the morning and just microwave it anyway. Then my friend's fried egg was like rubber. I wonder if that was reheated as well. I was like yeaaaa I guess it is a diner. Maybe just stick to the typical breakfast foods here.

My husband and I are regulars for dine in and take out. My husband can't get enough of the short rib burger, but lots of dishes are great here. I love all the crab dishes: crab cake platter, crab pasta, crab melt sandwich, and crab cake Benedict. Really good quality and such a reasonable price. I also love the club sandwich and the vegan cauliflower pasta. We usually split an Oreo milkshake. The adult milkshakes are HUGE! Most stuff is generous in size here. Dog friendly patio and kid-friendly throughout. My sisters's kids loved their breakfast today. We also finally tried some breakfast items ourselves. The caramel French toast and the red, white, and blue French toast are both amazing!!!!! Join eat well do well, for lots of great promos. Good for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free dining. Happy hour daily until 9pm! Always friendly servers.

On Sundays, they only offer their bottomless brunch which has a selection of appetizers, entrée and deserts. We really liked their apps special call outs were sugar bacon, deviled eggs and spinach artichoke dip. The loaded nachos were nice too. Entrée portions were huge. Fried chicken a bit too oily and some what bland. Maryland crab cakes missed the mark. Deserts were small portions of ice-cream with brownie and cake. I would recommend them to add some unique options for deserts as well. The place was packed inside and absolutely no seating available. We felt lucky to have a seat outside. The service was very polite and trying their best to be speedy even though there was a huge crowd inside. There were times we had no food and waiting but understandable as they were busy. We started with the steak nachos, and while the steak itself was really good, the nachos overall were a little below average. They just didn't have the flavor or balance I was hoping for. We also ordered the fish and chips, but they were very heavy and greasy, to the point where we decided not to finish them. For drinks, I had a margarita that was overly sour and not very enjoyable. My husband had an IPA on draft and said that was really good, so the beer selection may be the better route here. Unfortunately, the service was also not great, which made the overall experience feel a bit underwhelming. I could see this being an okay place to watch a game or grab a beer, but based on our visit, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back for the food or cocktails.

I wish I could build my own flight because each flight choice had wines I didn't like. I also wish there were more menu items. And, the bench seating cushions were worn through almost to the stuffing which was really surprising that they would let them get that bad at a restaurant like this. That said, we had a great meal with a great server. I don't think we'll be back though.
