Our server was very friendly and offered recommendations. We ordered a few bottles of mimosas and they came with 3 juices. (calamansi was my favorite juice) we also had hibiscus lemonade and Hawaiian Punch. I had LOADED BREAKFAST BISCUITS and it was very delicious. I subbed regular sausage for turkey and it was on the side. The picture doesn't do it justice because I found myself wanting to try and recreate this recipe at home. The vibes were good. I genuinely don't know how to write a normal review for Rosa's Diner because I am still emotionally processing what happened to me here. THIS GRILLED CHEESE. Look at this thing. Multiple cheeses, perfectly toasted bread, TOMATO JAM melting into all that gooey, crispy, cheesy insanity... I could have been having the worst day of my life and this sandwich would've fixed at least 97% of it. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best grilled cheese I've ever had. I actually wanted to cry. It was so ridiculously good that I briefly considered making irresponsible life decisions just to ensure I could eat it again tomorrow. And then there were the onion rings?! Crispy, golden, ridiculously good--and the whole plate looked like it had been sent down from the heavens specifically to make me forget all my problems. But the food wasn't even the best part of the experience. Every single person working here was unbelievably friendly. It had that rare feeling where you walk in as a stranger and somehow feel like you've been coming there for 20 years. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely seemed happy to have us there. And Stiveen, our server, was an absolute GEM. Attentive, friendly, personable, and just the kind of server who makes you feel taken care of without hovering. Basically, Stiveen understood the assignment. Rosa's Diner, you have officially set an unreasonable standard for grilled cheese. I will never be able to order one anywhere else without thinking, "Yeah... but it's not Rosa's." 10/10. 5 stars. Would recommend to everyone I know. Would write poetry about the grilled cheese. He made sure we had everything we needed, checked on us throughout our meal without being overbearing, and provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Between the added service fee/surcharge and the prompt for standard tipping on top of that, the final bill felt disproportionately high for casual neighborhood dining. Hidden fees stacking up on top of regular menu prices takes away from what would have otherwise been an easy 4- or 5-star meal.
