This is as good as it gets! Its a small boutique dentist office that has a friendly staff. They even cover quite a bit of different kinds of insurances. They also have cool incentives if you recommend people. I've had my cavities filled, a chipped front tooth replaced, and a mouth guard made for myself. No one could even tell I had a front tooth replaced (color matched too). I also have a bottom retainer from previously having braces, and she cleans it perfectly every time I visit. So where to begin? First.. I am sort of abusive when it comes to tooth maintenance; cigars, drink whiskey, coffee, espresso, and who knows what else. I came to Silver State Smiles fleeing from my previous dentist (as you can see in my reviews) and it was the best decision. Dr. Tongsiri was very professional and caring and listened to my concerns that were not taken into account at my previous doctor. The office was very clean and orderly and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and you can tell they take not only dental hygiene seriously but cleanliness in general as a big priority. I recommend Silver State Smiles and Dr. Tongsiri to anyone who's scared of going to the dentist and to anyone who feels like their dentist could care less. Five stars all around! P.S. Love the new location! Dr. Amy and her staff just got bigger and better. I've been seeing her for the past couple years and knew she was great from the start. The office is very nice and modern. I have had a few bad experiences with dentists in the past. This had sadly led me to not see anyone for quite sometime, so when I needed to go I chose here a referral from my friend. I was scared but they were so friendly, caring, understanding and gentle I was actually started to get excited to get my work done and move on in my life! They did the best work and really cared about my comfort and me. I have now been going for a couple of years and I feel like part of the family Karla is so friendly! The new office is so nice, roomy, comfortable and clean. There are a bunch of new faces but all are nice! The last time was scary but prompted me to write this review because I had to see a new Dr for me. Dr Rana I started to get my anxiety back because it wasn't Dr Amy but she calmed me and exceeded my expectations. They are both friendly and gentle I was fine. So like a LOT of people, I am scared of the dentist. I have a high pain threshold, but when it comes to even a simple tooth cleaning, I freak out. My tooth chipped and (due to my dentist-dread), I waited too long. I ended up having to have a double-root canal, which is basically concentrated terror for me. I didn't really know what to expect from Silver State Smiles. Parking was kind of difficult and the office is tucked away. However, within minutes, I realized how great this place is. They honestly have some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with in the medical field. Dr. Rana was actually singing "Build Me Up Buttercup" during the procedure, because apparently Disney characters DO exist in real life. She was also very understanding about my anxiety and helped keep me calm. As for the procedure itself, I just can't believe how painless it was. When they gave me the shot in my mouth, there was a SLIGHT pinch that hardly registered. After that, I felt nothing. And by nothing, I don't mean that I could barely feel it. I mean that it was 100% pain free. Even after the procedure, the only pain I really felt was a very soar jaw from keeping my mouth open for so long. If I could give Silver State Smiles more than five stars, I would. I just can't recommend them any higher. So, I'm one of those people that is terrified of dentists. Apparently my jaw nerves go every which way but rational, and until I went here, I had never actually been numb for a dental treatment. I'd assumed "numb" meant "you can't feel your tongue and your lip is fat but expect random, blindingly intense lances of pain at the most shocking moments". I just finished getting 2 crowns; one was a replacement that involved cutting an old crown off. My terror at the pain I was sure this would involve was palpable. I was shaking when they reclined the chair. It never hurt. The doctor took so much time and care to make sure I actually understood what "numb" means in the real world, and now, a month later, my permanent crown in for only 2 days, for literally the first time since I got my adult teeth, my mouth doesn't hurt. Those teeth have always been sensitive; they've ached a little as long as I can remember every time I eat something hot or cold. I hated brushing them because it always felt like steel wool. I had coffee and ramen for lunch today and it didn't hurt. It wasn't a small pain of ache I ignored. It didn't hurt. I very nearly cried. Thank you, best dentist ever!!!!!! read more

I had an emergency with my parents today and needed a fast and swift solution. I looked up Silver State Smiles from Yelp and I called them immediately around 1pm. They were incredibly warm and courteous on the phone and gave me an appointment for the same day. When we got there the receptionist was really nice and welcoming. They saw us within 10 minutes and made us feel like we were the only ones there. They told us that the estimate is free. Due to the nature of the problem they had to take X-rays which they did in a very professional and attending manner beyond what was expected. At the end they gave us a great solution and didn't even charge us for the X-rays. I have never met a better group of people in any Doctor's office and the staff even outdid some of my friends in their friendliness. I gave them five stars only because I can't give them more. Silver State Smiles exceeded my expectations. One of my girl friends raved about Dr. Amy & her staff so I decided to give them a shot. I have been to several dentists & they were by far the best! I scheduled my appointment with only a few days notice & they got me in & were gracious about it. The office manager, Cathy, was AMAZING! I can't say enough about how helpful she was. I lost my insurance card & couldn't remember what was on the back relating to my coverage. I gave her the little bit of info I could remember & she called around to find who I was covered by & what they covered. She went above & beyond for me despite her busy schedule! My exam & cleaning were excellent. Dr. Amy & her assistant didn't rush to get me out. They were very tentative & my teeth feel super clean. They were super friendly & I can tell they genuinely care. This is an outline of the FAILS of this dental clinic. Granted I went here once before they partnered with Image Dental and I had a good experience. However, since they have merged, things have gone south. I booked my appointment in Aug 2014 at my last visit for 6 months out, that brings us to early March 2015. Come the day before my appointment, I thought it was a little strange I did not get a reminder call. So I call up the clinic to verify my appointment. They look and cannot find my appointment in the system...apparently when they merged, the appointments did not merge with their new system. FAIL #1! Practice management tip...perhaps you should have sent letters to your existing patients informing them of this issue so they could call and re-schedule the appointment. Okay, no big deal, I'll make another appointment. I asked to be seen with ONLY Dr. Tongsiri, since my coworker had been to the Sahara Image Dental location and were abhorred by the service they received there and the dentists at that location. I requested to be seen at their W. Craig road location with Dr. Tongisiri. I was given an appointment at 5:00PM. I get a call the next day, Dr. Tongisiri is not actually available on that day at that time, we can reschedule you for a different day. FAIL #2!! Okay, I am given another appointment again at 5:00PM. Next day, I get another phone call...oh I'm sorry Dr. Tongisiri's last appointment is actually at 4:00PM....uh okay so why did you offer me another appointment at 5:00PM?! FAIL #3!!!. So, okay I decide I'll just keep that appointment time and see whichever provider is there that day. Again, come the day before my appointment...no reminder call...I again call to verify my appointment, they forgot to schedule it! FAIL #4!!!! At this point, I should have walked but I wanted to give them another chance...yes I was foolishly patient with this office. Okay, so come today, my appointment was verified two days before...should be smooth sailing. I get to the office, fill out the paperwork and come to find out with my private Metlife Dental Plan, I still owe $100 for a exam/cleaning...mind you this does not include x-rays since I declined them for medical reasons. So I ask, "How is it that I had no payment due in August 2014 when I last saw you and my dental benefits have not changed? Do you no longer take my insurance?" The receptionist replies well we of course take your insurance or you wouldn't be here, but we accept it "differently." No offense, I'm in the medical field, you either accept the insurance or you do not. And you accept the terms of their coverage or you do not. So if I'm being billed, it probably means you are billing in excess of my insurance for bogus items. Below is a copy and paste of my coverage from my insurance... Bitewing-Single Image 2 per 1 period for children separated by 6 months, 1 per 1 period for adults (liberal interpretation) Last date of service 01/20/14 100% No deductible Complete Set Radiographic Images 1 time in 60 months Last date of service 11/24/09 100% No deductible Oral Exams 1 time in 6 months Last date of service 08/27/14 100% No deductible Prophylaxis/ Cleaning 1 time in 6 months Last date of service 08/27/14 100% No deductible I'm pretty sure I'm covered for a routine cleaning and exam 100% with no deductible as plainly spelled out in my plan. Mind you I have no cavities, no fillings. So what in the world are you trying to bill me for? THIS IS FAIL #5!!!!! The front desk lady then offered to perhaps get around this $100 fee, but I would have to assume the responsibility of being billed if she could not make it work. This front desk lady must think I'm a fool, you just said you would bill me later essentially..... NO DEAL. This practice is very questionable since they have merged with Image Dental in terms of their billing practices and competency of staff. Even if you have been here before and nothing on your side has changed, make sure you ask what you will owe for the exam even if you think it will be a routine exam. It would have been nice for the office to be up front when I made the appointment to tell me that they were now accepting my insurance "differently." Whatever that means..... I literally made an appointment in the car outside their office with my last dentist, he may be further but he is a great dentist that does his own cleanings. His staff is honest, efficient, and on top of things. They were able to verify no deductible or payment due for an exam and cleaning with my insurance. So please explain to me Silver State Smiles why are you charging an extra $100 for the same services on the same dental insurance plan? So here's a plug for anyone looking for a new dentist, go to Dental Plus with Dr. David Tong, He has extended hours as well like Silver State Smiles and you will not deal with the incompetency that I dealt with or be told your insurance will be accepted "differently." read more

The best ORTHODONTIST in town! My son's teeth are perfect now. They have few locations to go to on each side of town. Best of all is the service, they take care of you really well. Katie at the reception area was very nice, Heidi is awesome and Val is great. Dr Benson is very professional yet caring and approachable. With our hectic schedule they always accommodate us and work it out with us all the time. Considering it's holiday season, they were able to get us in this appointment pretty quickly. I wish I could give zero stars! After a horrible accident of my dog hitting my mouth a little too hard my front tooth was knocked out of place. Because of the reviews I chose this place, with great regret. After taking x rays the dentist attempted their typical scare tactic, urging me to have a root canal right away as the tooth was already decaying & spreading O.o After giving me a $1500 quote I took my loose tooth butt out of there and called another dentist close by. She was AMAZING & honest! She ended up putting the tooth back into place & attaching a brace for stabilization while the tooth readjusted. She made no guarantees that the tooth wouldn't die but felt it was worth a shot. I asked her if it was decaying (like this con artist stated) and she educated me on the process of a decaying tooth. Basically it was too soon to tell! She even showed me my x rays as proof. It's such a disgraceful shame that people like this, who are supposed to be professionals we can trust, will try to take advantage of someone's situation at any chance they can! This guy does NOT have your best interest at heart; he's in it for the $$$$! Before he urges you to take immediate action, playing on your emotions, do yourself a favor and get 2nd opinion! The cost is minimal compared to getting scammed out of hundreds or thousands of dollars. By the way, I didn't end up needing a damn root canal. My tooth reattached itself and is doing just fine with no signs of decay in sight (mind you this happened last December!). I purposely waited this long to write this brutally honest review. First let me say that I have a hard time finding a dentist because I have issues with big hands in my mouth. Amy has the perfect size hands and makes me feel comfortable during treatment. I'm giving them 1 star for 1 reason. I missed an appointment because my Cat is very sick and I was at the Vet with him. In my concern for my animal I forgot about my appointment and missed it. Frankly I am distracted by this and worrying about a missed appointment is not on my list. So a few days later I received a phone call informing me I am being charged $25 dollars for not going to the appointment. As far as I am concern this place can kick rocks. This is a health care place as care for your teeth is important. But you would expect them to understand that not everything goes as planned in anything throughtout life. I will never use this place or its affiliates again. Dr. Chris was the only reason to go anyways and I hear he's leaving. $25 is a slap in the face. No stars if I could. I have never written a bad review, no matter how bad the experience is but this place really made me waste my time and pretty much did not care about it. I usually go to Palm Valley Dental, I didn't even know this "other location" existed. I initially called Palm Valley to schedule an appointment because I had previously gotten a root canal done with them and that same tooth seemed to be hurting again. I explained all of this on the phone to them and they told me about this other location, Silver State smiles and asked if I wanted to go there and I said sure. Even though it was farther from me than Palm Valley I figured they would be able to take care of the problem at either location since the Dr I previously saw at Palm Valley was no longer there. I go to this location and they do an X-ray just for the Dr to come in and say they were referring me back to Palm Valley to the same provider that did the root canal. After I explained to him again that the Dr that did the root canals on me was no longer at Palm Valley he still proceeded to say someone else can help me at that location and didn't even tell me why or what was wrong with my teeth until I asked him. He said he saw nothing wrong and I was to go back to Palm Valley and they would help me there. I went back upfront and asked to speak to someone because I felt it was a waste of time they made me come to this appointment only to be told I needed to go back to Palm Valley. The girl up front then proceeded to tell me the Dr probably wanted someone else to take a look at it and that's why he was sending me back to Palm Valley and then she proceeded to say he was the same provider that went to Palm Valley as well. I was like okay so who am I suppose to see at Palm Valley and what are they going to do for me if this is the same dr that is at that location!!! She then said they can see me until next week Friday at Palm Valley with another Dr or they could just give me an ortho referral now. Of course I asked for the referral because I did not want to risk having to wait another week with pain and having them tell me the same thing this Dr said and then having to wait to schedule an ortho appointment after that. Hopefully I can get an appointment with this ortho soon and I can get the problem fixed. I will not be coming back to Palm Valley or this Silver Smiles location for any of my dental work. read more

I would like to say, I am the most terrified of dentists! I had to go because I had a throbbing pain for months that became unbearable. So I googled and reviewed several dentists and this one stood out. First it was their hours which fit my work schedule, then it was the reviews. I was SO nervous when I got there but the warmth I felt from Karla eased me a little! Still nervous, Karla walked with me down the hall of doom where I met Dr. Amy, and she was so kind and empathetic to my panicky demeanor! I had 2 teeth pulled, yikes! But she almost had me so calm that I was actually ok! She talks to you to make you feel comfortable and that you're in good hands; she also called me to check on me afterwards, kudos for that; would I return? If it was up to me NO! But Dr. Amy and Karla said I have to and I trust them now! I still have some fears, but at least there, I don't fear the people! read more

My last appointment with this office was in Sept-Oct 2016, they did a wonderful job cleaning and checking my teeth, no complaints. Dr. Redlinger is my dentist there, he actually remembered me from the last office he worked at so the experience was a little more personable on account of that, true story :) I have been trying to get the best mouth-guard money can buy because I have been grinding my teeth since I was a teenager *-* I was referred to-two oral surgeons in Las Vegas and was told that they do not accept dental insurance but they accept medical insurance, just not MY particular medical insurance which is Tricare-Prime (UHS essentially). So after the runaround with these referrals to oral surgeons that will not accept my insurance and my utter willingness to pay for the mouth-guard OUTRIGHT with cash and many chewed-up Dentek Dental-Mouth Guards, I just about gave up until today; I called to reschedule my check-up and cleaning with them and talk about the mouth-guard conundrum, I spoke to Jeanette (who is golden by-the-way and is excellent at her job), she helped me determine what the insurance issue was and it turns out the oral surgeon that makes the best mouth-guard I am needing does indeed take my insurance! Success! (Dr. DeCache is the oral surgeon). So I am rescheduled to get my teeth cleaned and being referred to fetch the mouth-guard I've been searching for! Thanks Silver State Smiles, Dr. Redlinger and Jeanette for listening to me for 10-15 minutes, and I sincerely mean that! Worst dentist experience in my entire life! And im 48 yr old. Still after 2 months from my last appoitment i cant stop thinking and talking about it. Only positive side was lady working at front desk. Waited 2.5 hours in waiting room and after my complain they asked me "do you still want to see our doctor or you want reschedule" ? After that one member of stuff told me "there is always wait in dentist office and 2.5 hours is nothing,you always have to be prepared to that!"
