Worst dentist experience in my entire life! And im 48 yr old. Still after 2 months from my last appoitment i cant stop thinking and talking about it. Only positive side was lady working at front desk. Waited 2.5 hours in waiting room and after my complain they asked me "do you still want to see our doctor or you want reschedule" ? After that one member of stuff told me "there is always wait in dentist office and 2.5 hours is nothing,you always have to be prepared to that!" She also said there is even no guarantee doctor will see me and do my tooth after all this wait!. But doctor/dentist deserve separate review! She was like doctor from horror movie! She was all mad with bad attitude from beggining, she NEVER said ONE word during one hour work on my tooth,and the best part comes at the end - at one point she left our room without saying anything, i tought she went to restroom or answer call, but no, other member of their stuff came and said "you are done,you can go" !! I was out of their office in totall of 4 hours and i was there just for one tooth filling! I called them 4 times after that and asked for their manager to call me beck and nothing! My daughter had an appointment scheduled for Monday at 9am. When we arrived the office was unlocked but no one was there. We waited for 25 minutes and finally when the alarm company came they told us it was closed. Really I was given an appointment 7 months prior. So we called and the girl on the other line told me she had no record of my daughter and proceeded to hang up. When we got home 2 hrs later received two calls from the office to apologize that there was a communication problem that their dentist was not coming in so the office was closed. Never received a call regarding the closure. To add insult to injury the girl who hung up on me called to say she was sorry. Never going back. This is the second time has happened. read more

I would give 6 stars if I could. This Dental office was great from the beginning. It was so easy to schedule an appointment, the friendly voices that answer the phones are so helpful. I was greeted promptly and with smiles, the girls in the front office are excellent. I had my work done without pain and very quickly. I needed to find a new dentist closer to my home. I made an appointment a week ago, and asked specifically if they took my insurance. The guy on the phone, said it would not be a problem and I booked an appointment. I get a voicemail the day of and it says that I'm out of network, but they could still do the X-rays and cleaning. Because of the reviews I decided that i would try them out. I had the X-rays completed and the dentist comes in and says my teeth look fine and starts upselling veneers right away. Then the hygienist comes in and starts telling me about bone loss and bacteria and she recommends deep cleaning, and quarterly visits (as stated by another poster.) I told her that I am out of network, she said that the girl up front would speak with me about that. I waited another 15 minutes before she came in and informed me that the cleaning would ONLY be $ 600 out of pocket! I took my bib off and left. They wasted an hour and a half of my day off with this run around, I do not think they care about our teeth in the least, just trying to make as much money as possible. If the dentist office reads this feel free, to call me and dispute anything I have written. P.S. I visit a dentist regularly, floss and brush multiple times a day and have teeth in above average condition. Im only writing this addendum to let you know that the deep cleaning has never been recommended before and am quite sure that it was not needed this time as well. read more

I first came here in April 2014 after a recommendation from a co-worker. Dr Amy is a fantastic doctor, very kind, very knowledgeable, and very good at her job. Her hygienists are equally fantastic. However, I had to stop coming because of the constant screw ups by the office staff. I switched jobs in August 2014 so I wanted to move my appointment for when my new insurance kicked in. I called and left message 6 different times asking to move my appointment. No reply. So finally, I left a 7th voicemail in which I kind of raised my voice and said I would never be back. So they returned that call, apologized, and set me up for an appointment today, November 12 2014. I liked the doctor enough that I would overlook the front office's goof up. So fast forward to this week and I didn't receive my customary 24 hour advance call reminding me of my appointment. So being somewhat jaded from my previous experience, I call the office and somebody actually answered (a miracle in its own right) and the girl tells me that there is no record of my appointment and they can see me next week. Unfortunately, I cannot trust this office enough to continue providing my business. I shouldn't have to beg to get a return call and an honored appointment. Like I said, the doctor and her hygienists are great. I honestly do recommend them. I just cannot continue to waste my time and energy hoping they'll make good on their end of the bargain. My situation is hopefully a one -off type of deal and I do wish the office the best. read more

Excellent service. I am from San Diego, helping out a friend and my crown popped off friday night. Looked online for a dentist opened on Saturday! The first two offices were really closed on Saturday, so the third time was a charm when I walked into Silver State smiles and Dr. Marcus Koster. Ebony and Tasha were friendly professional and caring they managed to squeeze me in between appointments for a consult with Dr. Koster. The consult became a treatment plan, he was able to clean and assess the situation, understanding that I was undergoing chemo for ovarian cancer could not have invasive procedures and was limited in having x-rays. I don't know how this place has so many good reviews! This place is over priced and a joke. I came in today for a cancer screening. I have a white patch on my gums i was concerned about. They wanted to charge me $50 for her to poke it and tell me "it's probably nothing but we'll refer you to an oral surgeon for them to remove it if they feel it necessary." It turned out that I have been here years ago and was unhappy with them before. If i had realized it before I got there I wouldn't have went. Waste of my time and money! I went to Brighton Dental from there and they had cancer scanning equipment for $35! From there I left with an actual answer. DO NOT GO HERE! I had a tooth that started hurting a couple days ago and was trying to find a place that could get me in as soon as possible. When I got a Saturday appointment I was relieved that I wouldn't have to wait until next week. I have a regular dentist that I visit but because they weren't able to get me in I thought it would be fine to go somewhere else sooner to just take care of the one tooth that was causing me pain. I had Dr. Koster come in and right away began to criticize and humiliate me. He told me this happened because 'I didn't care enough about my teeth' and that he would have to extract the one that went bad. He also started to push several other procedures he wanted to carry out in the same day! When I explained I had a regular doctor I preferred to go to, he rolled his eyes and breathed angrily like I was annoying him. By this point I was shaking from being so upset and later when one of the assistants came in to check if I was starting to feel numb she noticed I was shaken. She asked if I wanted to leave but I figured I might as well finish up since they already numbed me and I had been in pain for two days and didn't want to carry it over for more. I am sorry that I gave them any of my business. The girls in the front were incredibly sweet when they noticed I was crying and tried to apologize but they shouldn't have to make up for an unprofessional dentist. AVOID DR KOSTER AT ALL COSTS! He is an incredibly vile man and has no empathy. He should NOT be working in any healthcare field with his attitude! read more

I had to go back to see Amy to have a cavity filled. This was my first cavity ever, so I was quite nervous because I do not like needles or drills. Amy did an amazing job, I did not even feel the Novocain needle, and then obviously did not feel any of the drilling. I have to go back in 2 weeks to have another cavity filled, and I will not be nervous at all this time. I had a crown done here and was informed that if anything happened to my crown, it would be free to take care of, since I purchased the expensive one. Well, that was a lie!!! I show up for my appointment, turns out the Dentist who did my crown isn't working today and he's the only one that will be working on my crown and that I could only get an exam done by the Dentist that's here. After waiting over 30 minutes, I find out there's a charge for the exam!!! Wow, I guess they're salty about me winning my lawsuit against their sister property Reflection Dental. I found this office on yelp and I thought I'd give it to a try because I have never smiled in pictures my entire life... and I am ready to finally smile.... I go in... First thing I notice it does NOT smell like a dental office , it smells like Cinnamon! Amazing... The women at the desk were SO friendly! Absolutely everyone made me feel so comfortable. As a 12-year old, naturally I have a fear of going to the dentist. Previously, I had only been to the dentist twice before and they were both for basic exams and cleaning. This time though, I knew it was going to be different because I hadn't been taking care of my teeth as well as I should have been. I was terrified and almost in tears, just having x-rays! The staff there was so nice and showed that they actually cared about their patients. Several of the girls working that day each took a moment to come by my exam room to talk to me and try to calm me down. Well, I was right to be afraid-but i was NOT afraid of the dentist, I was in fear of my parents hearing that I have FIVE cavities! Now, I am returning to have my cavities filled and I am actually looking forward to going my dentist, especially since I am grounded for a month and don't get out of the house much theses days! Jeffrey Redlinger injured my jaw while working on some cavities. I recall him resting his wrists on my jaw as he worked on my teeth for about 40 min. Once finished, he instructed me to relax my jaw. It was not possible. He, nor his staff, knew the proper way to care for my jaw that was literally hanging off of my face. I couldn't talk, close my mouth, stop drooling all over myself, and was experiencing physical and mental abuse. Redlinger called an oral surgeon to ask for advice. He attempted to maneuver my jaw as instructed over the phone to no success. He insisted I drive myself to the office of an oral surgeon. By this time, I was weak to the point where standing was a challenge. He continued to insist driving myself to the oral surgeon. I was now going on over 2 hours with my jaw injury. I began to collapse and that's when staff member Karla Brown told the doctor I was unable to drive and he'd have to take me himself. I was wheeled to the back door to avoid patients in the waiting room from seeing my condition. I was extremely weak. Reaching over to put on a seatbelt was difficult. So I relied on Redlinger or his assistant, who was also in the car, to ensure I was wearing a seatbelt. They didn't. While on the freeway, a police officer approached us and Redlinger says, "shit," and slowed down to follow the speeding limit. We finally reach the oral surgeon's office. The office was located upstairs of the building. Extremely weak and unable to talk due to my jaw condition, I pointed at a sign informing us of elevators. Redlinger ignored my request and we took the stairs. We made our way to the room where I was to be seen by the oral surgeon. A staff member from the oral surgeon team came in to hand me a clipboard with papers to fill and took my ID and insurance card. I now had blurry vision. I couldn't fill out the papers myself. All the words were a blur. After several attempts, Redlinger finally understood me trying to tell him I couldn't see the words clearly and asked if he wanted me to have him read out loud and fill it out for me. I nodded yes. About 4 questions in, he said he'll just fill it out as best he could and just have me sign. At the time, all I wanted was for my jaw to be back in place so I didn't care about anything. I just wanted to be seen by the oral surgeon. A single page got completed before I was taken for an X-ray. I struggled to stand but did my best. The staff member came back to inform me she didn't do it correctly and that the X-ray would have to be done again. I tried my best to stand for the second attempt and that's when I fell back to the floor and began to gag. I called my sister to try to tell her what was going on, for I thought I was gonna end up seriously sick or dead. Unfortunately, it rained heavy that day and had pulled over to avoid a flood. At that moment, death actually seemed like a better option than to go another minute with the extreme mental and physical abuse I had now been experiencing for hours. The staff at the oral surgeon's office helped me up and took me back to the room. Finally, the oral surgeon came in to fix my jaw. Within minutes he achieved where Redlinger failed. Proper and professional care. We leave the oral surgeon's office and head back to SSS. A few minutes into the drive I realized I was never given back my insurance or driver license cards. Instead of going back for them, Redlinger continued to drive and insisted I pick them up myself after my visit. You would think once back at SSS they'd inform me of what to expect the next couple of weeks. They didn't. A few days pass and the pain was still intolerable. I called my insurance nurse advisor and was recommended I go to the ER to ensure no physical damage resulted from my jaw being misplaced by Redlinger for a near 3 hours! The doctor at the hospital ensured me no permanent damage was present, but that I would be in pain for some time. A few weeks passed and I still had pain and still hadn't received a single call from SSS since the incident. They obviously didn't care. The hospital bill arrived and I made a trip to SSS, for I believe they should be responsible for the hospital bill. This is almost 2 months after Redlinger had injured my jaw. I spoke with Amy Tongsiri about SSS covering my hospital bill. She asked why I never called them before the hospital visit so I replied with why they never called me, a patient they injured, to ask how I was doing or inform me of what was to be expected after they injured my jaw. Had I been informed of what to expect then the hospital may not have been considered. Common sense. If you're a professional and injure a patient, then it is your responsibility to check up on them and guide them with proper care. I was promised a call with an answer to my request the next day. Two hours before they close I hadn't received a call so I called them. Karla informed me that SSS will not be assisting in any way. read more

OK I have been meaning to get to you guys for a bit. Have a seat and think about what i have to say before you circle the wagons. I called up here to get a cleaning they said full xrays,examination by a dentist and a cleaning for 40 bucks! I was like ok cant beat that. The x rays alone are a minimum 200 dollar value.So i walked in the staff was very friendly and engaging.The first problem i had was they asked me for the 40 upfront,like i am some thief who is gonna shimmy down the drain pipe to avoid payment. I have never been asked to do that by any doctor.Payment for services is to be done at the conclusion. It gave me a bad feeling. Ok so i sit down and the man who did the x-rays was really nice too,they must put happy drops in their coffee in this place if i had to smile this much at a job i would need surgery for lockjaw. So he proceeds to give me enough x-rays to run a nuclear power plant,I have never had that many x-rays. like 18 + a panorama. They must get some sorta kickback from the x ray company because i don't understand why they were so liberal on the xrays given what they normally charge for them. Dentist comes in pretty distant person,I open my mouth and she starts in with the list,filling,crown root canal..etc...ok so i haven't been to a dentist in like 1 year but i know this is overkill. Then she leaves,in comes the hygienist who pokes a bit and says to me you have periodontal disease,huh? I will clean your teeth but it really wont do you any good,ok how much for the deep cleaning,in comes the hatchet girl oh that will be another 1000...hahah WTF! I'm like um no just go ahead and clean my teeth,now my hygienist is AWOL for like 25 minutes and i'm starting to get annoyed,uh where did she i go,i ask someone. She shows back up and does a lackluster cleaning on me. So lets review,the people who make the least amount of money here are by far the nicest. They clearly use the 40 dollars as a loss leader to suck in potential clients. The hygienist claimed i needed treatment for pario work but never did a charting so she was just winging it at my expense. I did not care for their assessment of 3000 dollars worth of work so i went back to my original dentist and she did my filling for zero dollars and said the other stuff was BS. I was also told that less than 10% of patients seek out a second opinion and that places like this are basically puppy mills for teeth. I am a cash patient but if i had been an insurance patient i probably would have had them do unnecessary work. Its pretty shameful and unprofessional to mislead patients in order to get the billings. shame on you. The extra star is for your wonderful support staff...they need to be given raises. read more

Ugly liars, did not tell me a honest price for my cleaning. I specifically requested a cleaning that my insurance will pay in full. But they suggested me a deep cleaning (knowing my insurance only cover 80% of it but will pay my bill in advance but i have to pay it back later) and told me that is free. A month later I received a bill over 100 dollars from my insurance, I called this place and they told me the price we gave you was only an estimation and is subject to change, and you agreed and signed. I was stupid enough not to read every single page i signed and only to believe what they told me. NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN! read more

I received a call from the office and after talking through my issues I agreed to come back and give Silver State Smiles - now Image Dental another try. I should have just stuck with my gut and never went back. I was priced three different cost (irritating but it was only around $20 more so not a big deal) however the big deal was that by the time I left I all of a sudden needed to come back for a root canal (roughly $1,000 with insurance). My other big deal was, I was in serious pain because the dentist drilled until I started bleeding, then put a temp filling in that came out the same day and I continued to bleed out and was in pain for days. I called but they told me it was normal but I could still come in, I declined. Needless to say, I received a second opinion by a dentist with more experience and I did not need a root canal. He also told me that because you drill more the cost should not go up as what I was told previously. I ended up having to pay out of pocket for repeat procedures because Silver State Smiles / Image Dental refused to release my records after my new dentist office and I requested them multiple times for weeks. They gave me the same unacceptable excuse before with wanting to redo Xray's, "that because of their software change they could no longer access my records." I do not recommend Silver State Smiles or their new name of Image Dental. This place seemed to be amazing and I am so disappointed that my next couple visits did not turn out so well. i took an xray of a tooth for 40.00 and was told at the front desk i cud use the xray at another dentist it was a lie.I went to another dentist that same week and was told Silver States had to refer me to another dentist to send xrays I did not have any work done and I am so glad I did not. A visitor in town with a painful tooth, I went to on-line reviews to see who really looked to be above average. I quickly settled on Silver State Smiles, called them, explained my situation, and they very kindly worked me in. I am not a fan of dental work (is anyone?), but was pleased in every way with the staff at Silver State Smiles. Everyone was a pleasure to be around, but more importantly they took great care of me, and in the end recommended that, with medication, I wait two days til I was back home to have the work done - work which they could have insisted they do. The visit included the examination, x-rays, and a prescription - and they did not charge me. I am sure that can't happen often, but it spoke worlds about the thoughtful and professional care that they provide. read more

Sliver State smile booked me an afternoon appt. and re-cemented my crown. Both Doc's stopped by to evaluate and both seemed very nice and knowledgeable. Both had a light touch which is hard to find!
