My car got involved in an accident and I decided to get it fixed through Silverlake Automotive. They were by far the best reviewed shop in Progressive's network and rightfully so! My car was towed to the shop as it wasn't in drivable condition. I received a call breaking down the estimated repair and time frame. I had to replace the rear bumper, refinish the rim, install new struts, and smooth out the dents in the quarter panels. They ended up repairing the car ahead of the estimated timeframe and got the car back to me in just two weeks. The car looked good as new! The paint was smooth and didn't have any orange peel. If you're looking for a mechanic who you can trust in Silverlake, this is the place! About 4 years ago I stopped by because I had a couple of lights pop on. Tony ran a diagnostic and told me it was because I hadn't driven enough since my battery was changed. He didn't charge me anything, and wouldn't even take a tip. Again, I recently had a battery changed through AAA. When the man from AAA changed it, he also ran a test and then tried to tell me my alternator was broken (he then handed me a business card to his auto shop). Today Silverlake Automotove ran a diagnostic and told me everything was totally fine with my alternator--and never charged me a dime. I was anticipating having to pay a fair chunk of change. But ended up having to force him to take ten bucks as a tip! I have never been so thankful for such honesty, and impressed by such a good business. As long as I live in the area, and as long as they are here, this is where I'll bring my car for repairs. I found myself in the situation no one wants to be in. Three hours from home, car not running, stranded in a strange town. Stressful is an understatement. My luck turned when I found Silverlake Automotive a short distance away. Tony (the owner) was incredibly kind, helpful and honest! After waiting two hours to have my car towed here I had little options and was thinking I'd have to leave my car and pay a ridiculous amount to either fix it or be forced to sell it for nothing. We thought our transmission has gone, but Tony's team found that it was as simple as a loose alternator! They cleaned up my battery, charged it and I was on the road within an hour. I'm so grateful he was able to help me and was reasonable and charged me a minimal fee, it could've been much worse had I gone elsewhere.
