First time there today. Love that parking is free if you actually find a spot. Free to get in which is also a plus. Lots of clothes, jewelry and watches. Many of the vendors are super friendly which is also a plus, I'll walk away quick if you don't greet me or "watch" over me when I'm just trying to look. This was worthwhile but find parking NOT in the 1 hour! (Got a ticket) -and I know someone who got back to their car at 2hr spot and cop kept writing the ticket in 2hour zone. Went on Friday which is more chill and personally I like that, but apparently not as many vendors. Low key and not to stressful. It did get busy & was hot! Concrete jungle! There was enough of a variety from after having visited so many stores including one where you pay for an appointment. This was better and people who are willing to negotiate. Some stuff is just silly priced but some great vendors here. Will totally return. Shirts were clean at most places which I appreciate and nicely curated in some situations. Prices could be okay as some jewelry seemed repetitive-you could just go to the other vendor for $5 less type stuff but seem like a mass market stuff from another country. Would rather the interesting old/used/new real stuff. Maybe harder to find in LA now w/ population growth. read more

Ain't nothin like a free flea my friend! Silverlake Flea Markets been around for a good portion of over 17 years? I've only ever stopped by on Saturday or Sundays that too "when in Rome", that being said I'm no "nubi" to the thrift game! Lately, Silverlake Flea's been hit or miss, the latter winning by a landslide sadly. I SAY THIS OUT OF LOVE (constructive criticism or a forewarning if you will) because a lot goes on behind the scenes to bring an event to fruition and as an event becomes established such as this one, it requires less of a boots on the ground approach from coordinators (and rightly so). Unless of course something in the pipeline is compromised... In this case, the primary glue holding the event together are the vendors. The last few years the vendors have been peddling low quality clothing, however last Sunday was NO BUENO. 2-3 booths had multiple Salvation Army and Goodwill REJECT items. Yaknow...items likely deemed "unfit to sell" due to the EXTREME tears at the seams? Looks like "hanging on by a thread" has a new meaning. I'm not talking about a slight tear, little fading or lost button here. The leather jacket's lining is exposed and stuffing is spilling out from it. Gigantic gashes like did this BELONG to Freddy Krueger or did it just lose in a fight against him? (Mind you, this wasn't a booth selling horror items either.) If you offered this and similar pieces for free to the patrons they'd think it's a prank. "One can only give from what they have" thus such products being sold means the vendor quality itself has declined. Thing about that is many vendors are neither here nor there, especially if they aren't branded and thus have the benefit of anonymity, relying on the flea markets' attendance to sell but what about when that love isn't reciprocated and the vendor brings trash to your lot? Does that not put the reputation of a beloved and long standing flea at stake? Uhhh huh. Let's clear the air, I ain't uppity. It's a moral obligation to call it out now because: 1) Vendors like this typically give thrifting, second hand or upcycling a bad name. 2) Event producers and coordinators deserve respect, but a few vendors risk bringing down the flea market's reputation. 3) Dear vendors (you know who you are)...Either it's an "honest mistake" and you just need to be more cognizant by stepping up your purchasing game. OR you're being lazy / think your slick tryna "pass" pieces with 0% purchase value and please beaux it's not quaint or "cute" it's old and beyond new ownership, so do the material justice and put it in the recycling caddy where it belongs so it can be shredded and the material can be reused bruh. Either the coordinators will take a back seat on the matter, practice the "free market" and or defend the booths or their process. This would be a short term attempt at saving the brand reputation. Or they may realize the only way to keep the flea from having to salvage its name in the next 2 years is through preventative measures. Idk what that looks like for them but no honorable booth should have an issue if the flea writes in some sort of quality control & assurance clause in the vendor agreement that states the clothing being sold "must be acceptable" and definitely define the terms of acceptability more precisely. Interested to see what action may or may not be implemented by the organizers. I'll likely pop by again once more during the year and one more time next year to report any positive changes. If there isn't an update, it's likely there wasn't any change. PS. Besides the booths that disappoint you can find a few good local jewelry artisans, and even 2-3 local clothing brands that obviously sell quality pieces since their brand is at stake. Grab a cup of coffee and take a stroll IF you're around. read more

Hipsters, influencers or homeless people. Who's who? lol jk jk I've been here before. I also frequent other flea markets, swapmeets, thrift stores. Anyway, a lot of cool finds. I usually go for retro/throwback/vintage toys, hats, memorabilia and rare finds. Plus: free parking, variety, rare items and good deals. Cons: overpriced items, ig kids. I always have a good time. I take my time and dig through bins and bargain if I can. I just really dislike what instagram and tik tok did to this scene. They blow it up and the price goes up because of hype. A bunch of cool people, vibes, music, weirdos (like me), a bit of everything. Good way to pass time. I just uploaded photos for y'all to get a glimpse of what it's like. Overpriced rags, can't imagine scoring a gem here. $150 jeans, $50 tshirts, let's not mention the jackets. Most everything doesn't have a price listed so that you can inquire & they can make up their own pricing depending on how they feel. Lots of different vendors at this huge market but it's very difficult to find anything good because of the overwhelming options. Very very few vendors (if any) have changing rooms which also makes it quite difficult to shop. Street parking is ample but you may have to walk a bit. read more

Things are pricey (around $75+). They are vintage. Depending on what you're looking for. I was able to grab some scarfs/bandanas for $5 each. And the vendor gave me a free cute tote bag to go along with it. Vendors accept either venmo or cash. They also offer free water bottles when you walk in. A nice place to walk around and browse on a Sunday, although it does get crowded! Parking- parking was relatively easy. Someone was leaving just as we arrived. My first time coming here after seeing some of the hype on Instagram! Right off the bat I see a sign that says coffee inside...im already sold. Coffee and flea market, say less. Satori coffee was so good, I got a really cute pink purre latte. The workers were so kind. There were so many vendors in there it was so cool. So many different types of styles it was nice. We went outside and although it was hot we still managed. Everyone outside was really kind and helpful. Bought a tank for like $15 and it was really good quality. They have a lot of jewelry options. Hello, The reason why I gave this flea a 2/10 is because of hurtful, degrading, and frankly racist experience I had with one of their vendors and despite my efforts to get in contact with the Silverlake Flea via email, their website, and social media I have been ignored. I felt unfairly--and even racially--targeted by what I'm assuming are two owners that sell jewelry, accusing me of stealing and threatening to call the police on me unless I paid for them. I was holding two bracelets when I went to grab my friend who had left that same booth and was going to ask her to return with me when I was stopped. The male owner, with his phone in my face recording me, accused me of stealing the jewelry and threatened to call the police on me unless I paid for the bracelets in full. I quickly apologized and explained I was not stealing, never intended to take anything from their booth at all, and was simply retrieving my friend so we could return together. Mind you, I had seen two white girls look around, leave again (one holding what I believe was a watch), and come back without being stopped by either of the vendors, so I do not understand why I would be stopped for doing the same. He began raising his voice--drawing attention to us--and said I was "intending to steal" and once again threatened me with the police and said I was committing a felony by walking two booths away. This is BS btw, in California the unauthorized holding/borrowing of an owner's property is not theft if you have the intention of returning the item, this man just wanted to weaponize the law against me not realizing I study the law. Also, like I said before, two white women did the same but they continently only stopped me... I told him repeatedly I was not stealing, never intended to take anything, was not taking anything, and did not want the jewelry. With the phone in my face and with a raised voice still, he demanded I pay. I was unwilling and told him I would give him the bracelets back because I never wanted them to begin with. I was just holding them because I was looking at them before my friend left and I absent-mindedly stepped out of the booth after she did not hear me calling her name. He began again with the same threats. My friend then told him to calm down and that she would pay. I tried telling her that was unnecessary, and I placed the bracelets in a nearby bin with some of their other jewelry and told him for the third time I did not want it. A young Asian woman, who I am assuming is another owner, came behind him and started whispering to him things I could not understand. My friend paid despite me telling her not to, and before we could turn to leave the young woman told us to stop so she could search our bags. Loudly the male owner says, "Yeah, search her bag! Search their bags!" All while a crowd is forming. We allow them to search us and before we can leave the man interrupts us once again, and tells me to take the bracelet because I paid. I took it from his hand and tossed it back into the same bin, because, as I repeatedly said, I never wanted the jewelry from the start and was frustrated that any of us had to pay for items none of us were interested in taking. I feel swindled, embarrassed, angered, and dismayed by my treatment and it's only worse knowing that the facilitators of this event did nothing to rectify this situation nor is there a proper conduit to contact them successfully and get some form of restitution. I am not thief, nor will I ever be and other vendors at the event can attest to that considering I made two other purchases before and after the incident and if there was something I was if-y on I put it back or told the vendor to hold it for me and I would come back to them. Apparently this isn't new for this Flea either, as other POC (especially black and Hispanic people) have felt profiled here as well! Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful! I'm only giving this 2/5 because the vendors I met before and after the incident were kind and luckily sane. read more

Warning this is NOT a family friendly market. If anything it is misogynistic. If you are a woman and/or have kids that go with you everywhere, don't go to this flea market. The management team is scary, unprofessional, rude and dangerous. They lack the training, social skills and compassion to manage a team and to deal with customers. We witnessed a mother be harassed by the manager claiming her young toddler was disruptive when no one had complained but him. He then went on to dump the baby off his toy tricycle and take it away from him. During this interaction the venders seemed noticeably uncomfortable and embarrassed by the managers actions. The energy was hostile and my daughters and I will not be returning to this place. read more

The owner with the all those silver rings is not a very nice person..his whole aurora is just overall not it...made a comment that somewhat felt uncomfortable and he tried to play off like he's a cool guy but you can just read him that's he's not m..doesn't seem like he cares about the flea and people more about the money . An okay place to shop for vintage stuff - mostly clothes. Was a relatively small selection of things tho- I was in and out in less than 30 mins. It looked so much bigger on Facebook lol.. Wish they had more items. I drove over from culver city (which took 40 mins) to shop here but I probably won't be back unless they get more vendors. So so soooo many cute items be resold at this location. It's open for the weekend so you have multiple chances to visit. I would say that the prices are sort of steep for items that are thrifted for a low price. However it is nice to see that the vendors have $10 racks with decent items for sale. There is a plethora of styles available and I was able to grab a few rad items from different vendors. The service is definitely worth visiting at the end of the day. read more

I love this flea market. You can find a lot of unique, vintage and hipster stuffs from outfits, accessories, paintings, etc. They check your temperature before You can go in and require masker. BEWARE!!! Fiora is a bald face liar! This Yelp page implies people are wearing masks and that the market is enforcing this. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!! I concur with the two posts below about face masks. I have been to this market multiple times since corona virus and there is no mask compliance among staff whatsoever. I even attempted to address a complaint to the people manning the door, and I was laughed at and ignored. Moreover, Fiora - listen to your customers instead of getting aggressively defensive. This is NOT about the paychecks of your vendors, but the health and safety of your CUSTOMERS! You don't run a market for your vendors, you do it for the clients who spend money. If you want your CLIENTS and your VENDORS to return, they need to be healthy. To be healthy, you should follow and enforce the STATE MANDATE. What I'm seeing here is somebody who is unwilling to run their business professionally and blaming people who address legit complaints. Don't worry - you've also been reported to the county! To FIORA the business owner. Vincent had NO right to put hands on anyone's child nor their belongings. You don't TOUCH someone's kid regardless of what they were doing. PERIOD. You know how concerning it is to hear that a 3 year old child can't ride their bike without being assaulted? You approach the parents, and then look for other resources if that doesn't work. Learn that first. Then you have room to talk. Your customer service SUCKS, your reviews speak for themselves, you are SUPER rude unprofessional and you don't know how to handle customers and their concerns. Shame on you! Your past vendors are also speaking up on their experience with you. So this is NOT a first. You have a sick pattern. We've contacted the media about this, and they want the mom to share the story. Finding parking was a nightmare since they only have street parking. The flea market itself is pretty small. A lot of the booths carried pretty much the same things(either t shirts and dresses or crystals). Some of the shirts being sold were in terrible condition with stains, rips, or fading in various places. I didn't end up buying anything in the end, but there were a lot of people there who seemed interested in some products. read more

VENDORS BEWARE - We booked a booth with silverlake flea over a month ago. We were told we'd receive an email with loads in instructions the day before. We did not receive said email, so i called in and no one answered. I left a voicemail and sent an email but got no reply. I called in again, and was told that they had a dedicated coffee vendor the whole time, and that we can't vend. We had already spent tons of money on supplies and started brewing coffee. Our business name is Witch Craft Coffee, and they claimed that they didn't notice until that point that we sold coffee. They then told lies about us online, and tried to make us out to be aggressors for posting what happened. They acted as if we should have known that they already had a coffee vendor, and started telling people that they had planned to offer us a free booth if we hadn't started in with "cancel culture bullshit" AKA, just holding them accountable for screwing over a small vendor with their carelessness. The whole thing was obviously a lie though, because they never said anything about this to us, and only started bringing it up to try to make us look bad to others calling them out, but if they wouldnt allow us to use a space wed paid for, why would they suddenly offer us a free one? The entire saga has been nothing but blatant gaslighting and lies on their behalf, littered with insults on our character for just telling people what they did. These people are scary and exhibit major abuser behavior. We are not the first ones to report this type of thing, as you can see from other yelp comments! Watch out!!! read more

Stumbled upon this flea market today and had a wonderful time. Walked out with a new sheepskin jacket ($30) and cute pastel green tunic dress ($20)!! Both vendors took Venmo- it seemed that all the vendors did. It's a mix of vintage/thrift and new local businesses that sell here.. next time I gotta get some of the amazing candles and jewelry I skipped out on today. I stopped by this flea on a whim since it's free admission, which is always a plus! I estimate maybe around no more than 25ish vendors on this day, which was fine but there was not much variety. 90% of stalls sold clothes, most of which were faded, worn out, and seemed to be overpriced goodwill items. A couple stalls sold jewelry which was refreshing, and 1-2 coffee/food vendors. The vendors that I interacted with were friendly, but overall I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to come here. read more

Flea market was not appropriate for our product, but usually with markets there is vetting to ensure the vendor is a good match for both the market and the vendor. Here they were clearly interested in the vendor fee and not ensuring it would be a waste of time for us. As a small business every time we go out to sell is make or break for us. Further, as a food business we should've been placed with the other food businesses and not in the middle of clothes, this shows lack of organization and attention (we also never met the owner which is highly unusual). If you sell clothes here this is a fantastic place to go, but note your price point should be in the $1-$15 range. Needless to say we will not return and we wish the market the best of luck! read more
