Chicken power bowl - chicken and veggies

I never had an issue with customer service. Everyone I have dealt with had been polite. I like how I can order ahead online. My only issue is the sheer amount of sauce added. It's like a teriyaki soup. I will add comments next time for sauce on the side.

Good food! Good portions. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait but they seem to be getting it figured out.

Me and my partner decided to try this spot today! Let's say, there are better options…read more For starters with atmosphere it was great! Very clean establishment and good vibes with shoji screens and lighting. Our service was very good too! We explained how we have never been here before and our waitress explained in full detail the how to and their menu. She came back at a good rate and was very nice. Me and my partner got the standard course for two. It was around $68. That's a lot in my opinion for not that much food compared to a Korean bbq. The galbi short ribs for example, they only gave us 3. They couldn't even give us 4? Two each? That in general is also crazy small. The rest of the meats were flat pieces like brisket and little steak bits. That's not a lot of food. It looks like a lot but when meat shrinks it's just tasters. I'm not impressed with the amount I'm spending with the amount of food. It's honestly not a lot when you really break it down. We did try the mochi and me and my partner agreed that was probably the best mochi ice cream we have had. Plenty of options, very delicious and tasty. If you want some sort of BBQ experience, I would not come here as my first option. You're just wasting money when you can go to an all you can eat and order practically everything. If you wanted Individual plates of soemthing, for example the galbi short ribs for a plate was around $14. Cmon now. We wouldn't come back here. It was decent, too expensive for what you're getting. There's just better options to try. Thank you.

It is about time we have a Yakiniku place in El Paso, and I'm happy it's GyuKaku!…read more The location is really nice and can suit one well for a birthday, dinner date, entertain the visiting executive from out of town, or just because you crave Yakiniku, which I often do. The menu is amazing! I ordered so much I forget what I even had specifically, I just know we started with Kalbi and ended with garlic chicken and had everything from crispy rice to spicy pork in between. The service was great! And we met the owners, Dennis and Ran, and expressed our gratitude for bringing such an establishment to the borderland! Can't wait to go back

5/5 -- First visit to Gen Korean BBQ House and it blew us away!…read moreElijah was our server and he absolutely made the night. Super friendly, professional, and genuinely cool -- the kind of person who makes you feel welcome right away. He even shared a bit about his trip to Japan, which was a fun personal touch without ever missing a beat on service. My wife and I did the Premium Dinner and every selection was on point. The meats were high quality, the appetizers were delicious, and everything came out quickly. Elijah kept our table running smoothly, checked in at the perfect times, and made sure we had everything we needed. If you're coming here, ask for Elijah -- he'll take great care of you. Definitely recommend and we'll 100% be back!

At the end of the day, this place is all about the meats they have available- truthfully, the meats…read morewere subpar. An example would be the beef belly, which suddenly comes apart as you cook it, which may indicate the lower quality. Comparing the quality to other franchises, this wasn't as great and it left me disappointed. We stuck with the regular menu since the additional cost of upgrading to the premium tier (when the only worthwhile meat to us there was the wagyu) didn't seem reasonable to us. There's a wide variety of options for meats, and the menus with pictures were helpful to our friends who preferred the visual guide. The side dishes (banchan) were about 4 at a time as well, when I usually see 6 or more at other AYCE KBBQ establishments. The service was pretty good though. I forgot his name, but our server was very thoughtful and didn't rush our group as we picked our 4 meat choices (that's the limit each round). All in all, if you're used to other KBBQ spots (like in LA or NY), this might not hit the spot. But if you're fine with meats as long as they keep coming, then this should be just the right place for you!
