    8. Tonkotsu Ramen
    Erica F.

Came by for a quick bite. There is a small parking lot available. The restaurant is a little hidden. It is small with a few tables inside. It is self serve ordered, meaning there is a QR code that you scan with your phone and place the order via your phone. I ordered Tonkotsu Ramen and pan fried dumplings. The ramen is decent, but I do not like the dumplings. The dumplings were a bit soggy, and I probably will not order it again. Price is reasonable. Nothing stand out from this place, but it is also not bad.

I have had zero luck finding good ramen in the area so I was pleasantly surprised how good the tonkotsu ramen here tasted. The broth and char siu are really tasty. I liked the fact that they let me choose how spicy I wanted the ramen to be. I also enjoyed the chicken karage. It was crispy and tender, just the way it's supposed to be. My only gripe (and I may sound nit picky here) is that the sodas didn't taste good. My Dr. Pepper hardly had any carbonation in it while my wife's Coke tasted watered down. The fountain drink machine needs to be better maintained. Other than that, I enjoyed my experience here.

Good little neighborhood ramen place. Reasonably priced. Service was basic. You order food by QR code and pay on your way out so not much customer interaction. they just bring you the food. So it's like "you come eat and get out " type of vibe.

First time, had a taste for Ramen. Decent selections of food options, Service was good, the location is a cute little hidden Ramen spot. Will definitely be returning. NOW the food ,was flavorful and served in the right amount of time. The portion was decent.

Came here to meet a friend and right when i walked in, I knew I found a fantastic place! Being hit with your favorite anime as soon as you walk in makes the experience that much better in my opinion! The food, the service and the atmosphere were a great match as well! Mins you I came here two times in 1 week lol. The first time I tried the Luffy bowl! Amazing and then the next I tried the Black Garlic bowl. Both bowls were great and more than I expected! A side of Chicken Karrage made it that much sweeter! The staff was amazing and I will be back with friends!

Clean, fast, and nicely decorated ramen shop in Inglewood! Came here for a quick dinner and was impressed by the concise menu and quick service. I ordered the black garlic ramen and it came out hot, with a good balance of noodle, soup, and chashu. You can order at the counter or via QR code. There's a small parking lot shared with a laundromat, but not too crowded, even in the evenings. Opens late, which is especially appreciated when your flight is late landing. I would recommend, especially if you're a One Piece fan!

We decided to try a new spot, new spots can definitely be a hit or miss. But this one..definitely a HIT. I loved the flavor it was so good better than a lot of main stream places I've tried. I got the shoyu ramen spicy level 1 it has a kick. If you don't like spice at all don't do any. If you can take the heat go higher. The place is small inside but cute. The staff were very friendly. I'm definitely going back. Might be there new usual.

Mennoya Noodle House is a pleasant discovery in Hawthorne, in an area with few other ramen restaurant choices. Every ramen I've had was very good, with great broths, noodles, and toppings. The restaurant has an anime theme, and it's fun to look at all the anime images on the walls. The pork has always been excellent. The seafood ramens use seafood, but I was disappointed that the 'crab' was just a crab substitute. You can add more spice to the ramen on a scale form one to four. With level one, I barely notice the spice. Two, adds a comfortable level of spice. Three and four, are definitely spicier but not levels I bothered to try more than once. I've previously observed that there are almost no bad ramen restaurants, unlike other food groups like hamburgers or Mexican food. Mennoya Noodle House is not an exception. All the ramen soups are excellent and deserve a 5/5 rating. However, while very good, the sides slip a bit in quality and I would give them a 4/5 rating. Mennoya has a customer loyalty card where you can get a free ramen after ten visits, a tremendous marketing gimmick to get people to visit the restaurant multiple times.

Ambiance: it's located at a corner spot in a plaza shared with laundry and liquor store, crowded parking lot in the front, more space in the rear Service: friendly but so slow, it took literally 45 minutes to get food after placing the order Food & Drink: simple menus items Squid Rings - ** not fresh and overcooked Seafood Udon Noodle Soup - *** Jumbo Shrimp, Squid, Scallops, Crab Meat, Red Kamaboko Fish Cake, Green Onion, Cabbage, White & Brown Beech Mushroom, Enoki Mushroom & Noodle Soup, light taste Tonkotsu Ramen - **** Chashu, Egg, Pickled Ginger, Gree Bamboo, Dry Seaweed, Fried Onion, spicy level three, recommend Sprite - *** fountain drink Price: small portions on appetizers and generous on noodles, expect $25 per person

Second time is a charm! I had planned to check out Mennoya Noodle House a few weeks ago and came during their opening time at 11:30 but the restaurant looked closed. I called a few times till I ended up leaving. Interestingly enough got call back past noon. Fast forward 2 weeks later; I was in the area and finally got to check out Mennoya Noodle House. (Note I did come a little later just to make sure it's open ;)). Walking in; the first thing I noticed is that Mennoya Noodle House is cutely decorated. They have a ton of different anime posters as well as Sanrio stickers and drawings. The music playing inside is also Anime themed. The decor definitely gives this place a fun vibe. Aside from being supercute inside; Mennoya Noodle House has lots of different ramens and appetizers on their menu. Their chicken karaage even comes with your choice of dipping sauce. I got their Black Garlic Ramen as well as their Chicken Karaage. The Chicken Karaage was the perfect pair for my Black Garlic Ramen. The chicken was tender and the coating was crisp. I also enjoyed it with the ranch dipping sauce. As for my Black Garlic Ramen; I thought that it could have used more garlic flavoring. I didn't quite get the garlic taste. I did enjoy that ramen had sprinkles of fried onion and lots of noodle. I wishthe flavors of garlic were more abundant. This place is cute and overall ok.

Food Now, I love ramen and have had ramen in multiple ramen places. I got the black garlic ramen and thought it was pretty good. It was a bit on the saltier side for me which I didn't really mind too much as the taste was really good. The black garlic with the fatty broth was just a nice flavor overall. The portion of the ramen was just right for me. You also get an option of 1-5 level spicy and I got a 3 and I thought it was just the right spice level for me. Service/Ambiance Outside, the place is very unassuming but once you enter, you are hit with this anime vibe and more predominantly one piece, dragon ball and naruto and as a fan, I was immediately excited. The staff were nice and we got seated right away. The only minus for me was that the ramen took a while to get served compared to those in other ramen places.

I love it here!! Support this ramen spot, I've been to plenty in the area and think this is a little gem! Flavor is so good and so are the appetizers. good prices! I like the level 4 spicy.

10/10 -- We'll Definitely Be Back!…read more I recently tried Shin-Sen-Gumi Hakata Ramen for the first time with a group of six leaders from my job. One of our coworkers has been coming here for 20 years, so we knew we were in good hands! The menu is EXTENSIVE and can be a little overwhelming for a first-timer, but our waitstaff was amazing--patient, friendly, and happy to help us navigate all the options. And trust me... we ordered! We tried several lunch combos, appetizers, and sides. I had the veggie ramen, and our table also enjoyed the fried green beans, veggie spring rolls, fried rice, and plenty of other goodies. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. What I loved most was the comfortable, no-frills atmosphere. This place has clearly been doing what they do for a long time, and it almost feels like you're eating in Grandma's kitchen--good food, welcoming service, and no need for anything fancy. And PLEASE don't leave without trying the plum wine! We ordered a bottle for the table, and it was delicious. 10/10 for the food, service, and overall experience. Ramen lovers, put this one on your list! We'll definitely be back.

However, for a place that specializes in ramen, the noodle soup bowls I've tried so far sit at a 4/5 for my friends and I. The broth is nourishing but a bit thinner than we expect. I've been going to Tomizo since they opened. There were a few months after the initial visit that I…read moredidn't go and I'll explain in a sec, but since then I come probably twice a month now. Ironically speaking, I do not like Sapporo style ramen. I've never been a fan of Miso ramen, and for some reason Sapporo style is just something I do not enjoy. That being said, everyone I know that does like Sapporo style ramen say it is good. But then, why am I giving this place 5 stars and why do I eat here so often? Tomizo added tsukemen to their menu, and they have the best tsukemen in the area. It's a very rich heavy fatty tsukemen, and it blows away everywhere else's tsukemen in the area. The portions are always extremely generous as well. The most important thing is, they use actual tsukemen noodles, they are fat and thick, while a lot of places near here give you ramen noodles for their tsukemen. The other thing I absolutely love about this place is that they have seasonal ramen, and while I'm not a huge fan of some of them, other times they are just amazing. The current seasonal ramen is a cold cream tonkotsu style, and it is absolutely divine. My partner got it last night and it was so good, I wanted to come back tonight to get an order of it myself. I absolutely hope they decide to add it to their main menu permanently, because a cold ramen dish would be a god send to have readily available. The staff are all wonderful, incredibly attentive, and are all very cheerful and upbeat. The music variation changes quite a bit. Sometimes it'll be vocaloid heavy, other times it'll be very late 90s sounds of Tokyo (Fantastic Plastic Machine, Pizzicato Five), or sometimes an early 2000s jpop play list. As someone a little older I don't think there's ever been a time I didn't enjoy the music being played. They also always have dodgers games (reruns during the offseason) playing on a tv for the local fans. The only real bad thing about Tomizo is the parking lot is tiny and shared with a sushi place that can get busy. So parking can be difficult sometimes.

She was also super nice to us and overall provided some excellent service, I did not quite catch her name. The interior of this place also feels quite small, but it is well ventilated. Just be mindful if you get up and walk around because there are people eating to your left and right.
