    Coconut Seafood Bowl
    Austin P.

We ended up here after another nearby restaurant did not have our table ready in time for our reservation, so we really appreciated the last minute opening. We started with the baguette and the fried artichokes. The baguette arrived warm and the fried artichokes were tasty. For my main, I got the seafood coconut bowl, which was jam-packed with seafood and flavor! I don't know why this wasn't marked as a specialty item/customer favorite on their menu, because it really should be. The rest of our group got the shrimp scampi pasta, Sicilian mussels, and the halibut special. I tried the mussels and the halibut. Both were good, but after trying the coconut seafood bowl, I was disappointed by the other dishes. Our server was very nice too. Would definitely recommend this place if you're visiting Port Townsend and/or need a meal before or after seeing a movie at the Rose Theater!

Went at the height of lunch service and shouldn't have been surprised that service suffered. We ordered an appetizer for the table to share - which came after our entrées. Good thing the tempura artichoke hearts were fantastic. The drinks took a long time. My lamb burger was ok, but my fries didn't come crispy as ordered. My other got the cod fish and chips and reported them delicious. His fries were crispy! The blackberry pie was great, even the crust was good.

Silverwater cafe is located right by the movie theater in downtown Port Townsend. We came in for lunch around noon on a Saturday. The restaurant was not busy, but had several tables full. The restaurant is bright with plants all around. The staff were all very friendly! They were very attentive and very nice. We started with the sesame ahi, it was not my favorite ahi I've had. It was just ok. I ordered the shrimp scampi with gluten free noodles, there was a good amount of shrimp with the scampi. That has become so rare at restaurants! The pasta was very yummy, it was a smaller portion. This may be because it was the lunch portion. My partner ordered the Reuben, could use more corned beef and sauerkraut. The sandwich flavor was good, just could use more filling. Overall would come back!

This is my new favorite place in Port Townsend. Came during lunch during a holiday weekend and still got seated. Got the French French dip sandwich and let me tell you it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Melty brie Delicious zingy au jus out of this world truffle fries Husband got a elk Greek burger and it was also good but we agreed the French dip was better. We have been talking about it for a week and plan to come back for it. Service was good and the place had a nice local atmosphere.

    Grand Marnier Prawns

The ambiance and service were great, but if I could give the food a zero, I would. For an appetizer, we ordered the Grand Marnier prawns -- definitely an acquired taste. For our entrée, we had the Ravioli Giorno, and the cream sauce was overly oily and honestly nauseating. The photo attached speaks for itself.

We came in on a Thursday night without a reservation, hoping to get a drink and apps before a movie. We were seated right away and our waitress was very attentive. We told her what time our movie was and she thanked us for letting her know and made sure that our food was out quickly, we had to go containers, and the bill was handled quickly, so 5 stars for service! We ordered the pear cocktail (I believe it's their signature cocktail) and it was refreshing, tasted exactly like pear! We also ordered the seared Ahi, the truffle fries, and a salad. Everything was yummy but the truffle fries really stood out to me. They were the perfect ratio of crisp, salt, and truffle. As far as ambiance, it seemed fairly casual. The decor was mostly plants, and they had giant monsters, spider plants, pothos, and more.

Exceptional. Wow, Cafe Silverwater did not disappoint. We were greeted with a bright, shining face, and the service was outstanding. Mikayla was bubbly and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered a few cocktails to start (yum). Halibut and BBQ ribs for dinner. It was excellent all around, but the ribs took the cake. Arguably the best ribs I've had - falling off the bones. It is a fun sailing town restaurant with such a fun atmosphere - stop in if you are ever around!

Good experience, atmosphere was nice, location was right off the strip and food was pretty decent. I ordered a cup of daily soup and sadly I don't think it was homemade which was disappointing. If it was, the broth was not deep in flavours enough for a mulligatawny. The half order of Washington salad was AMAZING! The ingredients were sooo fresh and dressing was fantastic! The French French dip was pretty good but I think the fries were the best. The shrimp scampi was good too - the shrimp were a little bland, it would have been nice to have them more salt and buttered. The sauce that it was in was fantastic though and the overall dish was worth it. I didn't realize they made offered mocktails until the bill came and it was advertised on the bottom so it would have been nice to have it on the menu because I would have ordered some. Good reason to come back again next visit to port Townsend.

    Not "Waygu".

Solid choice for good food. I had the cioppino which was very flavorful and fish was perfectly cooked. Dare I even say probably the best Ive ever had. The reason for three stars? We also ordered the Waygu which definitely did not taste like Waygu. It was very lean albeit perfectly cooked to medium rare. It was lean enough that I thought it tasted like eye round. Service was good.

    Clam Chowder

This was a too go order right before they closed so I ordered something I knew would be quick. They were nice enough to say okay half an hour before closing. The fried oysters had the breading falling off and the zest on top was just way too much. They were so oily it was hard to pick it off. The stinger was the clam chowder, it was the worse I've ever had. I don't know it it was the bottom of whatever it was scooped from or what. Next time I visit I'd want to try them again.

Salmon filet was excellent and heard no complaints from anyone in the group. Handled our group of 11 with great service.

Looked like a subway stop as you descend sidewalk stairs to the Grotto. They have seating all sorted out so need reservations and don't even ask them for the favorite table just go with the flow as they know what they're doing. Service was excellent and support staff for waiters/waitresses is very attentive. We took the Coupeville to Port Townsend ferry over as walk ons to save the $30 on car passage we didn't need. Short 1/2 mile walk across from the historic Rose Theater. Dinner was fabulous with me ordering the saltabucca with polenta. Big chicken breast wrapped in aged ham with a ton of polenta and green beans. The other three guests had the cioppino with various seafoods and they thought it was delicious. Great Valentine's Day dinner with friends. You have two hours to eat before your 20 minute brisk walk back to the ferry for your return to Whidbey Island. Calm Sailing!

My friend and I both had a lasagna dinner (that did not come with anything (no salad no side, nothing) and water and our bill was 72.00. Slow and below average service. The woman serving us seemed flippant and cold. I don't need my butt kissed but pleasantries would be nice. She barely checked on us and we saw her a total of 3 times. Once to take our order, once to deliver the food, and lastly to drop off the check. No refills on drinks, or to ask how our food was. We asked for some bread to hold us over before our meal arrived and she said it was in the oven. We ended up getting the bread after we received our meal, and it was just bland and meh. For the expensive prices, I would expect better service.

They were busy on a Saturday morning, with a consistent wait of 2-4 tables (20 min or so). I think there were three servers covering the restaurant, each with probably about 6 tables. Our server was incredibly friendly but not that efficient. She'd grab one thing, drop it off, then go grab another and do it again instead of holding something in each hand, for example. If you're in a hurry, this may not be the best place but it's decent if you have a couple hours for a meal. The place has a down to earth, kitschy feel. I'd avoid the booths though - at least mine was free standing and connected to the person behind me. Every time they stretched or moved backwards, they'd push me into the table. I started with orange juice. It was fine, like Tropicana with lots of pulp. I ordered a breakfast burrito with smoked brisket, pepper jack, and caramelized onions. I have no idea how, but it was kind of bland. The meat was tender but didn't really taste like anything (needed more salt?) and I thought they'd forgot the onions until I found one inside. If I'd been blindfolded and you told me it was a cheese burrito with shredded pork, I probably would have believed you. It wasn't bad but it was so forgettable it's hard for me to even describe. If you're at the marina and you're not in a hurry, this may be worth a shot. Unless I'm with that friend who loves it, I'll probably try something else next time I'm in the area though.
