Came to Silvestre's for the first time today. The chicken is seasoned nicely and had decent flavor, but I couldn't help but notice more so than the chicken is that they have a huge menu of offerings such as: seafood plates, grilled platters, veggie plates, sides, burritos, fajitas, salads, and desserts! This intrigued me more than what I originally came here for which was just rotisserie chicken. I ordered a 1/2 half rotisserie chicken special, which comes with two sides. The chicken as mentioned before was seasoned and had good flavor. The dark meat was just how I like it --juicy and tender but the white meat unfortunately was a little on the dry side, to be honest. I noticed whole cooked Yardbirds sitting under a heat lamp --warmer station! I think this may be the cause of why the chicken was slightly dry. I would suggest to management that they find a better way to store and keep their chicken from drying out; like perhaps use warming drawers. Nevertheless.....It definitely warrants a drop on a star for that....because I can't stand dry white meat. As for the sides, I tried the yellow rice and salad as part of the combination. Both of the sides were delicious, with the rice being my favorite. It was flavorful and enough for at least two people. Lol. In all, it was a great visit. Good food, lots of options on their menu to choose from, and more importantly....great customer service! Overall, I would say 3.5 stars....other places like Sardi's, Super Pollo and El Pollo Rico got an upper edge on Silvestre...imho. I will definitely return maybe to try other dishes on the menu, but not in a rush or repeat on the rotisserie chicken anytime soon. read more

Had lunch at Silvestre today decided to get a shrimp quesadilla. It wasn't too busy one guy in front of me and I ordered. Cashier was very prompt and told me 10 minutes for my order was completed. They do have tables for dining in, but it's mostly to go. Very clean inside. Got home and saw that it was loaded with shrimp. It also came with sour cream, red sauce, and green sauce. It was very good except that the pico and small side salad made the bottom of the quesadilla soggy. They need put a piece of foil or paper to separate them or put them in a different container. I made the bad decision of going off to the left and ordering the steak n cheese sub. BIG MISTAKE!!!! It. Was. BAD!!!! It had wilted leaf salad lettuce and about 2 whole bell peppers cut up on it. From the beginning.. I was calling into this location for a while trying to get through in order to place an order for pick up. I ended up driving to the location and placing my order IN PERSON. I placed an order for a steak quesadilla. Once I got home I realized that they had given me the wrong order. I called back to inform them that I had the wrong order and I was told that I would not be able to get my correct order without paying for it. This is not how you conduct business. Someone made a mistake on your end and you tell me that I cannot get what I ordered. This is a business that I have spent a lot of money with in the past, but this will definitely be the last time. There should definitely be a better way for you to treat your customers, especially your regulars. There is always something missing or incorrect when I place an order at this location. I can't believe this place has declined so much within the past couple of months. The service is still quick and courteous (I think a lot more people go there now) and the portions are still large but the quality has declined if you ask me. Maybe it's due to the other store openings? This used to be our 'healthy' option in the shopping center, but with the amount of grease in everything I might as well go to crown fried chicken. Our order of yuca did not contain 1 full piece. We got oil-soaked end pieces that were barely crunchy from steeping in the oil (to give you an idea of how small...like 30 tiny pieces fit in the paper boat); the bag was soaked in oil by the time we got home. The fajita was huge, but the 'salad' was all over the place and the lettuce was drenched in oil/water. Our sub sandwich bread was also soaked. Usually the food is good, but tonight's experience was two fajita mixta dinners with burned steak, shrimp and chicken but barely sautéed veggies. Funny how the food was unburnt side up when we opened our containers-all of the burnt sides were not showing.... That seemed intentional. We were really hungry and didn't feel like driving 20 minutes back to the swann creek location to show them the proof (we learned previously that they won't take complaints over the phone--they require you bring it back so they can see it for themselves)so we took some pics. Ordered online to pick up on my way to work ... the girl at counter was extremely RUDE kept yelling at customers and when they couldn't find my order they kept telling me it was my fault for ordering in grub hub ! We are nearby and order from here from time to time. Whenever I order from here the food is sometimes hot, sometimes not. The restaurant quality of food is not consistent. The Peruvian and grilled chicken are sometimes dry and the yuccas are hit or miss, sometimes hard and dry, sometimes fresh and hot. Lately, when ordering an entree with sides, the cooks put the hot food over the yuccas to make them hot and not so hard. Can I have fresh yuccas please.. The subs and burritos are always good and hot; my sons like these. The people taking your orders are usually kind and attentive. The restaurant's ambience is nice for carry out or dinning in. We ordered yesterday for dinner and when you pay $75 plus tip for dinner, for carry out, you expect your food to be on point. My husband and I love this place as an easy stop on the way home for dinner. We do stick mostly with the rotisserie chicken meals or burrito bowls and have always been happy. The beans and coleslaw are great and the rice is really good, although somewhat inconsistent in size. The price is great, for a whole meal we get 4 meals out of it for about $20. Can't beat that for an actual meal. The customer service is great here too, especially in the recent year. There is a really nice gentleman who takes most of the orders (sorry I don't know his name!) but he's fantastic, always pleasant and accurate. This place is always packed, and honestly if I were judging it based on overall atmosphere I might knock it down a star or two because I find the customers have been pretty bad, but I always get it to go and try and call it in and it makes it a great experience. We did get the sandwiches once and were disappointed, so we stick to the chicken and you can't go wrong. read more

My husband picked some up today. The rotisserie chicken was good and the pupusas were okay (though they had a doughy texture to them, like they weren't done being cooked). The plantains that accompanied the chicken were hard, dry, and bland. The steak was dry and smelled of fish. We reached out and they were responsive to our complaints and even offered to redo our order or refund our money. We declined the re-fire because we are disappointed that a usually good spot has had a gradual decline of the quality of their product. Apparently they must have been overwhelmed with orders since I receive under cooked chicken. I ordered two chicken dinners. It's 3:25 am. And I been up since 2:55 am on the toilet with the shits because the food was not done. This is what scared me when ordering from Uber Eats. When you have an issue most of the time it's goes unsolved and the Resturant gets a little slap on the wrist while customers get a dent put in their pockets for poor prepared food. Was very disappointed. I ordered a chicken and shrimp quesadilla for pick up. It's hard to check a quesadilla to make sure everything is included because it can get a little messy. But, sure enough, there were no shrimp. I'm usually satisfied with the food here and have never had an issue. Due to having to pay extra for the shrimp I didn't receive and not having the dish that I wanted and paid for I'm rating it 3 stars. I've been here a few times and usually just get a rotisserie chicken platter which is good, but one day after working out, my boyfriend's son persuaded me to try the rotisserie chicken tacos. They were amazing! I got them with everything (lettuce, pico de gallo, and cheese). You can get them with rice too, but I passed on that. They have 2 sauces -- a hot and mild that they also serve with the chicken dinners -- that I mixed up/added to the tacos. You get 2 tacos for $5 making it a bargain.
