The last two times I have visited this store I was disappointed. Lost business for sure. I have shopped this store many, many times and never had the problem I have had with the same clerk. The first time I wanted a toilet seat cover for my RV. We had measurements, etc. but the clerk insisted that we needed the information on the tag of the toilet seat. Lost sale, we went to Lowes and purchased a standard toilet seat cover and it worked perfect. Today we visited the store looking for an awning cover, the clerk (same one) said we needed the information on the tag from the awning. We knew the measurements but NO, could not be bothered. Went home and ordered the awning online with just a color and measurement. We also didn't buy the propane hoses and just got them at Home Depot. I would think most stores today would want to work a little bit to help the customer. read more

I called, made an appointment and when I arrived I was greeted by friendly people everywhere I looked. My Service advisor (Steve) was friendly and professional. I called the Service Dept to bring in my Coach for some repairs, in addition I wanted to buy some Accesories. The service advisor asked me if I purchased the Coach from them? I told him no, it was purchased out of state. He then told me he would not assist me, unless I bought it from them! Seriously I asked? And his said "yes-unless you bought the RV from us, we aren't interested!" What year is this? To deny a customer service..and worse, a customer looking to purchase items? Especially in a small town, where word of mouth is so powerful. I tried to buy the Coach from them, but after negotiations, they never followed up with me..so I was forced to go elsewhere. I emailed the owner my experience with his service dept, and never got a response. I contacted the second nearest dealer who without hesitation, set an appt and thanked me for thinking of them! So disappointing. We live close to this place, but bought our Trailer from Family RV in Pamona because we got a better deal. Tried to make an appointment with Simi RV to get some warranty work done and they told us (rather bluntly and rudely) that they couldn't help us since we hadn't bought out trailer from them. Not even apologetic about it because they are busy or something. Just...nope, we can't help you. And our guy at Family RV actually recommended them. I'll be letting him know that they aren't a good service option. The sales and service departments may be different. But it's doubtful I would ever buy a trailer from a place with service like this. Maybe it's for the best as the idea of pulling my rig in to that tight space for work does not sound appealing. read more

I live a mile or so from them but I will drive 30+ miles to Ventura or Santa Clarita instead of visiting this store. If you didn't purchase your RV from them, then they treat you as a 2nd class customer. An RV battery I purchased from them went bad after 6 months, so when I took it in to them they said, "What do you want us to do about it?" Really? How about offer me an exchange or to test it or something... Rude, unknowledgeable parts people. Just take your business elsewhere, they're not worth the headache. read more

Buyer be aware.... This is my store. On May 27 I picked up my RZR from Simi RV which had a complete tune up service right befor a three day 4x4 trip I was taken with friends. Cost of service was over $450. On the second day of the trip the engine seized. On May 30 I dropped off the RZR to find out what happened and cost for repair. I recived a call from Chuck ( the mechanic ) saying the cost for repair is $1400 and the cause for the damage was do to me running in full throttle for a long period . I agreed to the cost of repair. The next call I got from Chuck was that the RZR is ready for pick up but now the total bill was over $3000. When I reminded Chuck that he told me $1400 his words were " you must be dreaming " and was very rude to me. Remember Simi RV has no authorization nor a sight paper working allowing them to work on my RZR what's so ever. I tried to solve this problem by taking to the general manger Jim Rampton , which lead no wear. One of his comments was " I may just take all the parts off " and " we are not going to warranty the work if you don't pay the full amount of the bill " which makes me very uncomfortable with the work that was/may have been done. By working on my RZR with no authorization Simi RV breaks "CA code 16 of regulations section 3353 by engaging in work without proper prior customer authorization" I feel like this is the way they work by giving you a low bid on repair cost and ones the job is done charging you higher and forcing you to pay the bill. I fell mislead ,cheated and bulled by Simi RV and don't recommend for anyone to work with them. read more

I never knew this place existed until my buddy told me about it..I purchased my 2014 rzr from Berts but Berts is lil far to take my rzr in for service so i called SImi Rv. I had a lil leak in the water pump on my brand new rzr. I called Simi RV polaris service and spoke to Chuck. I advised him i bought my unit from Berts and he told me i was welcomed at Simi Rv and to bring in my rzr to take a look at the leak. So i brought my rzr in and what can i say about Chuck..That guy is AWESOME!!!! Friendly and knowledgeable. I looked at my leak and right away knew what was leaking. I also told him about a possible cv boot problem and he told me he would look at all the cv boots and make sure everything is ok. And the service bay is soo clean u can eat off the floor..i felt bad bringing in my dirty rzr into his service bay.. A week later, Chuck called me and advised me my rzr was all fixed and ready.. I went to go pick it up and again Chuck told me what he did and if i have anymore problems to call him or just bring it back it.. I asked him about getting extended warranty and he recommended me to the finance lady Dawn..Dawn assisted me in purchasing an extended warranty and she was quick with the paperwork.. I was in and out of there with my fixed rzr and extended warranty in less than 30 mins..All i can say is im definitely bringing my rzr back to simi RV for service.. Talk about going above and beyond. Our experience at Simi RV was amazing. From start to finish. We met Chris, RV sales specialist, about a month prior to our purchase so back in March. At no point we felt pressured and Chris was super helpful. My wife and I were undecided on purchasing new or used. We went back a month later (last week) and Chris helped us out again, we agreed on a price and closed the deal then we moved to the financing part where we met Robin. She gave us clear instructions on steps to follow and what to expect. Okay to buy, or at least used to be if you never need service or follow up. I spent $185k for an RV in 2004, and they were great for service for the longest time, but recently, and as I have heard from others, you want to avoid this place for service as they will not call you back, ignore contacts via the website and want nothing to do with you later on. After a cross country trip this summer, there was a list of items that needed to get repaired including a damaged fender/ back panel (my husband did it!). HANDS DOWN THE BEST RV DEALERSHIP AROUND! We spent countless hours (months) looking for the perfect trailer. We drove hours away and even went to RV Shows just to make sure we found the right fit. We kept finding ourselves coming back to Simi RV to work with Bob and Jim. Bob was our sales rep & he blew our minds with the vast amount of knowledge he knew about every single trailer on the lot. He spent so much time with us - never rushed our decision - answered every question. He let us see inside some trailers that we all knew we would never buy, just to appease our minds/curiosity. Hoping to purchase locally, we went to Barber RV and they did not even compare to the kind of customer service we received from Simi RV. They wouldn't even show us inside certain trailers even though we explained that we were new to the process and just trying to research different layouts. They wouldn't even give us a price on a trailer without wanting us to go inside and sit with the manager first (typical bait and switch). Then they got irritated when we left without purchasing a trailer. Bob was honest from the beginning. He was patient and really understood that buying a trailer is a huge investment. Me and my husband went into Simi RV to look at some trailers because we were very interested in buying one. The sales man showing us different units was very nice and helpful. But while in a unit we over heard the owner (we are guessing) being very rude to his employee(s). We automatically left Simi RV. It's one thing to be rude to your employee(s) privately, even though it is still totally unacceptable. But when customers are around you shouldn't talk like that. The employees were very welcoming when we were walking around but I felt so sorry once I heard the way they were being talked to. This company definitely does not know how to treat there employees. I definitely do not support a business like this. It looks like it is ran very poorly. Also the RV dealer looked very unorganized and messy. We bought our new RV from Simi RV and had a wonderful experience. When it came time for the warranty repair work, there was a bobbel in ordering a damaged part. Shortly thereafter a substitute service manager, and after that the permanent service manager returning from vacation straightened things out and everything went smooth from there. Both service managers were prompt and concise in their communications about the work that was being done. The quality of the service work was beyond my expectations. Seven years ago, we purchased a 41' Class A RV from Jeff Aloia. He promised "the best service". As a new Motorhome owner (first timer) he knew I would have many questions. Shortly after driving off their lot, while on a 3 week trip to Colorado, our Cummins diesel engine shut down completely. The computer said, "low coolant." While on the side of the road I called on Jeff Aloias personal cell. No answer. Message left. A few minutes later, another call. Same. I then called their main business line and asked the operator if he was working. Yes he is. She paged him. When he answered I told him of our predicament. I needed to know the color of the coolant. He didnt know and couldn't help me. He advised me to see Denver Cummins. I added plain water. Limped into Denver and had Cummins tear into the engine. No problems found. Engine was fine. The problem, found by me two days later was a loose heater hose clamp. Just recently, I had a warranty recall performed by Simi RV. I also had a seam on our couch cushion that Mr Aloia said they would repair. This was told me the day we purchased our rig. When I picked up our rig, the seam was not repaired. The service man stated, "Mr Aloia said no repairs after one year. ". Therefore, I personally do not think their service is very good. They certainly did not serve me at all.
