On our drive from Florida to New England, our car hit a large 2x4 on the highway in Fredericksburg VA causing our front tire to blow out. It was early in the morning and we drove off the exit to the first tire center we saw. The man who helped us was wonderful, finding a replacement tire and then replacing our tire for a reasonable cost. We were back on our way in less than 20 minutes. I had a flat tire and needed a new one. My boss told me to go to Simmons Tire Center, so I called and asked if they had the tire I needed. They did, so I headed over there. They got me in and out in less than 10 minutes. The tire and installation cost $60, plus an extra $1.80 because I paid with a credit card. The tire was used, but it still had the white letters on it. Worst tire experience ever. I was told they had 2 matching tires in great shape for my car, and quoted $20 more than next door. I arrive, they put 2 mismatched tires on. I complain that they don't match, they find a match and put it on, this one is completely bald, in worse shape than the ones I came in with. So again, I complain... the Manager says "well ma'am, if you don't like it, I can take em off, put your old ones on and you can go down the road, Ive been here 20 years, I don't need this shit" They are dishonest, their customer service is awful and they rip you off. At least tires and more were honest by telling me they did not have a matching set, they were also $20 cheaper. I would have took his advice and gone next door if I had the time to wait. I stopped at this location unfamiliar with the area. The 3 men working there, two older thin gentlemen, and one younger man with round glasses, insisted I needed more than just my one tire. I was giving them business, to patch my tire. They insisted "it needs to be replaced, and so does a second tire!" I found this strange since I had recently had my other 3 tires replaced, but the thinnest man stated "your tire has a bubble in it, and it's dangerous!" So I went ahead and replaced it. Then they later said, "this tire you want patched is dangerous and you need it replaced!" I knew that wasn't true so I declined. My passenger side front tire being just replaced a few weeks before was in perfect shape as we went around the car diagnostically evaluating the tires that was in need of care. I left and went back to my house, less than 5 miles or so. I parked and didn't go to move my car until later that evening. When I went to move the car, I noticed the passenger tire was completely flat. No slow leak at all, as I had just gotten my tires serviced. I called USAA towing and the gentleman who responded removed the flat, and put on the spare. He took the time to look for the cause of the flat and noticed a large nail driven way past the tread into the middle of the tire, middle of the tread. He suggested I take it to Firestone for a patch. He said, that's not a normal thing to happen, and I wouldn't return to that shop. " I took my tire to Firestone the following day, and they called me out to the garage to show me the damage. They said "I'm so sorry, but not only does this tire have a nail driven into the middle, and that's strange, it has a huge puncture in the side of the tread so it can't be patched !" "That is not a normal circumstance for wear, and your tire is relatively new.!" I asked " how quickly would this tire go completely flat and unsafe to drive?" The mechanics there said "very quickly, within a few miles!" This tire had no prior damage! This tire is relatively new! (Was not over a month or so old) My vehicle was driven directly from the shop to my residence without stopping! I sustained no accident or incident along this short course to my residence. This doesn't take a rocket scientist to assess what occurred! I knew immediately this was done to the tire after refusing to purchase more than one replacement. They refused to take care of the damage, assist with the flat, or return my money! Instead the men at Simmons became very aggressive, and inappropriate! Even charging my vehicle in a very inappropriate manner to intimidate me as a woman! My brother who accompanied me, Insisted we leave immediately, as these people were very unprofessional and obviously dangerous! We left and said we needed to inform everyone we can about how this business conducts itself. This wasn't simply one employee it was three! They literally became threatening when approached with their misconduct. I've never placed a bad review before online. I feel a moral obligation to do so as who knows how many others have been victim to this unscrupulous behavior. My next call is the better business bureaus to report their business license. read more

Absolutely fantastic company. This is our second time getting tires from these guys. 1st time the replacement tire got a flat, but they made it right at no charge and that tire lasted until we traded in our car, thousands of miles later. This second time we came in with a flat, a beat up donut, and 3 other tires that were well passed their useful life. Got a fantastic deal on 4 newish tires and a rim to replace the donut (using on of our old tires). So 4 tires and a really spare on our small SUV, all for an amazing price. Both times we were in and out in less than 30 min. They also do oil changes and breaks, so we will be seeing them again in Abt 1000 miles. A favorite for sure. BE CAREFUL - do not go to the place with the blue overhang. They are NOT the same company, and you can tell their integrity by the fact that they moved next to this smaller, been there forever, company. You want Simmon's with the small sign and the phone number without the Area code. I think they have been around since the 80s and their expertise and professionalism shows it! read more

Stopped here on our way to Kings Dominion because if a sudden weird noise and at a moments notice these guys checked out my breaks and tires. Absolute horrible customer service experience...and I WAS a return customer. Last year I bought four brand new tires and wanted to purchase tires again for another vehicle. Today (9/26/20), I am certain I was not talking to the owner...but who knows. Pulled in the lot and stated I had received a quote last week about tires for my truck. The guy says, "We're closed, we close at 12." I said, "But it's only 11:45." He said again, "I told you, we're closed." Then I look at the sign on the door which has the Saturday hours posted: 1230. I said, "Your sign says 1230." He then says, "well I'm not going to open these doors, you don't have to be a dick about it." I then said, "You know I bought four new tires for another car just last year and was about to buy another four, but this is your loss." All I wanted to do was get the tires on order but I guess this business doesn't want or need the patronage. I called in the morning to verify they had a used tire I needed for my truck. I stopped by on my lunch break and they immediately went to work. I was shown a few used tires and was allowed to pick the tire I wanted. The gentleman assisting me was efficient and very informative. He fished replacing my tire in about 20 mins. Scumbag crooks wasted 90 dollars on 2 tires and they popped less than 10 minutes later and they were two different size tires

Purchased 2 tires from here & got an oil change, the oil change was almost double what everyone charges but we figured since we were there we'd get it done. The tires weren't cheap either, I've paid a lot less at other places and never had a problem. Upon driving out of the driveway we heard a loud sound like a lug nut coming off and rolling around so we stopped to check it out and when we did we noticed one of the tires had a really soft spot on the side & was almost worn out so we went straight back. One of the guys tried telling us it was nothing "it's just a scuff" but it definitely wasn't so we asked them to please replace it and reluctantly they did. I jokingly said "I bet they put a hole in the new one they gave us" we got home (10 minutes later) and about an hour later left back out & the tire was completely down. I called immediately and no one picked up so I left a voicemail asking for them to call me first thing in the morning so they could replace them before work & no one called or has answered so we were forced to go buy 4 brand new tires from a "reputable" company and were advised that the tire that the tire that kept going flat had "slits" on the inside of it. It disgusts me that people can sell a product like this that puts other peoples lives at risk. Do NOT waste your money cause after you drive out they couldn't care less about your safety! Wish I had of read the Google reviews and YP reviews before going!! read more
