I haven't eaten out for months but I used to come to Simones at least once a week. Friendly staff, great food, reasonable prices. Anyway, I stopped in this morning. Of course I wore my face covering. There was even a sign on the front door stating that a mask was required to enter the restaurant. There was only one other person besides myself in the dining room. But while I sat enjoying my breakfast food I counted 6 customers who came in without any type of face covering at all. I don't know ... maybe those hillbillies can't read but the restaurant staff didn't say anything to them. I won't be back! If your going to post a sign on your front door - ENFORCE IT! read more

Small, crowded tiny diner but good food options like red velvet waffle and waffle toppings. Long wait on weekends. Lunch or breakfast served all day. Biscuits weren't great and neither was the gravy. Improve these and add another star to rating. read more

Finally!!! Reasonably priced sweet tea! $1.29 a glass with free refills is a fair price. These other restaurants that try to gig you for a buck and half, or more don't get ANY money from me. I'm from California, visiting my family, and we decided to go out to eat. I searched local eateries and we chose Simone's cafe. We were all SUPER SUPRISED at the amazing food that came out of the kitchen!! I'm not sure exactly HOW they make their pancakes so friggin delicious...but they do!! Great little mom and pop. Went on a hot summer day. No masks required but staff wore them. Had a half chef salad and it was really good -a good mixed green salad not iceberg. Oklahoma Diner Lunch at its BEST. I had one of the best chicken-fried-steak lunches I've ever had, along with insanely fresh and tasty fried okra and green beans. I haven't lived in Oklahoma since 1989, but this is the food I dream about before I return to see my sister and family. The okra, alone, is worth the price of admission. This place is hands down the BEST BREAKFAST!! We were at the Lazy E arena and we're looking all over Guthrie for a good breakfast place Sunday morning and saw this little hole in the wall. I had 2 scrambled eggs, bacon and 2 pancakes. Absolutely the best pancakes; so fluffy and tasted as good as ice cream. My husband had eggs bacon hash browns and a biscuit with gravy. The biscuit was about 4" tall and you could tell was homemade. Great service and the food was amazing! read more

This country kitchen has the BEST Chicken Fried Steak I have ever eaten. It was seasoned to perfection with the best golden crust. The gravy was made from scratch. My husband and daughter had breakfast! The pancakes were perfect and fluffy. You didn't have to put much syrup. The cheese grits came in a big bowl! All of the food that day was very filling and inexpensive. To my surprise the daily special was Frog Legs, I was tempted to test them out but didn't have room. We had to go around the block once because we missed this place the first time- not very visible from the street of its address, but absolutely worth finding! The staff was attentive and service was prompt. The menu offers a variety of what I'd call country style items, chicken fried steak, burgers, pies and strawberry shortcake.
