First time using this facility and I will put it on my list to use again if scans are needed, extremely high marks for this facility, people are friendly, place is clean and not that "medical" smell. I don't like leaving negative reviews but SimonMed as a corporation deserves to be rated lower than one star for their horrific treatment of people. I have a condition that won't allow me to book my MRI online. They make me call in and then connect me to the seventh circle of hell where no one will pick up. I was on hold for three hours in March. I will periodically call back and beg for someone to help me. They take my information and swear they'll have someone call to schedule me - and of course they don't. I drove directly to the location that could service me and they won't book you in person either. And now I'm going through the same thing again because I need a second MRI. It's absolutely barbaric that no one will schedule your MRI when you're in pain and need to get sorted out. SimonMed should be forced into bankruptcy for treating people so heartlessly and with such callous disregard. The only thing I can say for this specific location is that I also needed an xray for my treatment. The main call center messed that up too, causing me a two hour wait that infuriated me. I do not recommend for the simple fact that they can't figure out how much they should charge you. They charge when they're not supposed to charge and you never get your refund.!!! i've been waiting over three years for my refund when I call they give me statements that don't match up and when you talk with someone can hardly understand also now they make you correspond by email, only which is still no help! and still no refund and that I have to prove to them that I didn't get the money ( so they want all of my bank statements from all of my banks for three years. I don't think so ) when they can simply see that I never cashed their so called check. As far as the actual service that was fine. Doc got records fast. If you do decide to use them, be prepared to walk away if they don't agree with your zero copayment, unless you're willing to simply donate/trash your money. I now go down the street on superstition Springs and power. There's a facility there that's much better and they won't deny you service for not paying your co-pay. Higley / Southern SimonMed I tried calling this office prior to driving over for a X-Ray - even though it is a walk in service. I seem to have an issue almost every time i use this location. Tech calls out, went to lunch as I walked in, machines down, etc. You can't call the actual office. Spoke to central scheduling two different times. 480.218.3250, the scheduler was kind enough to look at the facility to ensure they had a X-Ray tech on duty. She told me they did and they close at 4:30. (She made it seem like they took X-rays till 4:30. It was 3:30., when I called. I went straight over. Walked in at 3:45. Receptionist told me X-Rays couldn't be done, but wouldn't provide a reason. Told her I called to ensure I could get in today. Asked to speak to a supervisor. She said, they didn't have one. Asked to speak to the tech. She came back and handed me paperwork. I told her again, I called. I'm in pain. I don't want to go anywhere else. She said, we are getting you in. Fill out the form. While I waited 5 minutes in the waiting room - with only one other person, the receptionist packed her backpack. My name was called and X-Rays were done by 4:05. (Due to severe pain, it took me longer to get my pants off & on, than the actual imaging). I thanked both ladies. As I walked out the door, they locked it behind me. train your staff appropriately! I went to the Simon Med on Southern/Higley for X-rays (my dr is right across from Simon Med). I specifically asked if Simon Med took my insurance and was in network because I had met my maximum out of pocket and there was no reason for me to pay or have images done there if not covered. The young girl at the desk looked at my insurance card and said yes, I was covered and no fee since I met max out of pocket. Today, I get bill and not covered because out of network! It's also impossible to get the phone number for the office. Simon Med transfers you to the office, nobody answers, and Simon Med claims they do not have specific office numbers (only extensions). I had an appointment scheduled for 1pm and arrived at 12:30pm as instructed. When my appointment time passed the receptionist informed me that they were running behind by 30 minutes. It's 2:15pm with no further communication. They should not have people arrive so early when running significantly behind. After finally being seen around 2:20pm, I was told that they would only be able to do one of the views that my doctor requested because that was all that I was scheduled for and did not receive pre-authorization for the second view. Now, I have to schedule my second MRI a week from now because of their inefficiency after my doctor wrote the script for ASAP. Their lack of care results in prolonged pain for clients. read more

We came in today for 10 mins late because we got lost. I have 2 seniors that are both in canes. With the 118-degree heat, the receptionist won't consider accommodating us. There's only one person waiting and she said everybody will be pushed back. We used to wait for 30 to 45 mins in other Simon Med and we patiently waited. The receptionist is just so inconsiderate. No care for patients at all. Not coming back to any Simon Med. If you will not fix your staff, no one will go there anymore. You got lots of empty seats in your waiting area. The front staff was so kind when I walked in and greeted me right away. I arrived 30 mins prior to my appt and was seen on time. Terry, the technician that performed my MRI, was really nice and also funny. He made me feel very comfortable during the process. Had an appointment today at SimonMed, the Mesa Higley location. The appointment was scheduled for 9:45. I arrived at 9:30. I was not seen until 11:30. Nine other people came in after me and were promptly seen. When I inquired of the front desk person, she rudely told me that all those other people who came after me were scheduled before me so they were seen before me. When I was finally called, it was quickly determined I needed to be scheduled at a different facility for the procedure I needed. The front desk person offered me a same day appointment (4:00) at another location and I agreed to the appointment. She offered me a confirmation paper that scheduled me for a brain mri - I was there for an mri of my femur. I asked her about it, and, with no communication about the error at all, went back to work on her computer. Fifteen minutes later, she handed me another paper that reflected the correct mri, but both the time and location had changed. She had even not inquired of me if I was available at that time. Her customer service skills are sadly lacking, and she is condescending to people, calling them "sweety" and "honey." There was no apology about the very long wait, either. To make this whole experience even worse - she was training another person! I hope the poor trainee could recognize bad customer service when she saw it. The re-scheduled appointment was at 2:45 p.m. at the Baywood location - I arrived at 2:30. The office was very busy with several people waiting and several more waiting in line. I counted three work stations, but there was only one person working, and she was doing her best. She told those of us waiting that she would be with us as soon as she could, which was nice of her to acknowledge we were waiting. Twenty minutes later, she said she could help me. When I gave her the confirmation paper, she looked it up and said that the person who had scheduled the appointment had scheduled it for a 15-minute time slot, and my study needed a 45-minute appointment. This person was at least polite and helpful, despite being overwhelmed. I am disappointed with my experience with SimonMed today and could not recommend it to anyone. read more

I went here for some imaging twice. Both times I was greeted by unfriendly front desk staff. I was there on time and was not seen anywhere near on time. The tech who did the ultrasound was very kind. The doctor was kind and communicative and explained things well. The MRI person was nice as well. The front desk staff needs to work on their customer service skills as they are the face of the business. We arrived here for a walk in appointment, as that is all they offer X-rays. Upon entering the receptionist never greeted me, when I went up to hand her my paper she said, "Yeah?" As her way of asking what I needed. Then when I said I was there for an x-Ray she said, "Okay?!" As I went to hand her the order for the x-Ray, she just stared at me and didn't take it from me. She then looked at the 2x2 piece of plexiglass in front of her and I realized I wasn't allowed to send it around the side of the plexiglass, I had to send it under. So ridiculous!!! She continued to be rude and pretty much nonverbal, just motioning to me and saying minimal words to get her point across. To make matters worse, I ended up waiting close to two hours and the other patients had waited three hours. I've been coming to this location multiple times in the past year. I was told by the receptionist that she was leaving and their would be a new one (since I've been in for multiple injuries, we became friendly). Walk in today to a brand new employee and of course she starts harassing me about my mask which there's NEVER been an issue and then she has me waiting outside for 20mins in the cold to say it's taking long because of my insurance when it's cause she doesn't want to deal with me. I took my son 87-year-old mother to go get her hand x-rayed she's in a wheelchair and we waited . there was only one other patient there. The patient before us was treated and left as we waited and waited for someone to call my mothers name no one do it I went up to the receptionist and asked her how much longer and she told me that the tech had gone to lunch and it would be half hour 45 minutes before he came back . she didn't have the Courtesy of telling us that there was near no one there to x-ray my mom's hand so we took her home because she was hungry no x-ray done on her.
