I'm updating my original review because, with the benefit of time and additional troubleshooting, I no longer believe it accurately reflects my overall experience. After the installation, we experienced ongoing audio and video issues, including intermittent black screens and audio dropouts. At the time, the problem was extremely frustrating because it persisted for months despite multiple attempts to resolve it. Looking back, I want to acknowledge that George put significant effort into helping us. In addition to mounting TVs, installing network outlets, running cables, and setting up our amplifier and speaker system, he spent time troubleshooting the issue both remotely and on-site. George's conclusion was that an existing HDMI cable that had been installed before his involvement might need to be replaced. We chose not to pursue that option at the time due to the additional cost, which would have been an unnecessary expense (a few hundred bucks). I decided to contact the vendor directly myself and eventually resolved the issue by changing settings recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Once those settings were adjusted, the audio and video problems disappeared. Because the problem was ultimately not caused by the installation work, I feel my original review was unfairly critical. While the troubleshooting process was frustrating for everyone involved, I appreciate George's professionalism, responsiveness, and the quality of the installation work he performed. Very pleased with George's service! He was very responsive and friendly, and he did a really good job mounting our Samsung Frame tv. The tv came with its own complicated wall mount, and he was able to get it figured out and mounted in about an hour. He was meticulous with his work and very courteous while inside my home. I had him install 4 new ethernet ports (2 of which were pretty hard to run a cable through due to the location in the house/attic), and mount a large TV and soundbar, along with some in-wall cable/power management. When I need help with my office network, I always turn to George. He came recommended to me by the owners of Pritchard Electric. Our office is downtown in a 130+ year old historic building. There has been a hodgepodge of work done to it over the years. Although the network wiring was all over the place, George was up to the task. He wired a network drop from the second floor to the first floor of our building. My husband and I wanted to rewire our surround sound system...properly this time, instead of having exposed wires all over the place. It's been more than a year since we had George out to extend our home network. We added a guest apartment, home office and some smart TVs to our property. In anticipation of the higher web traffic, we upgraded to Grande's 1 Gig fiber service (which rocks, by the way). But we still needed to extend the local network, which is where George came in. He extended a hardwire connection from the front house to the back house via an existing underground conduit. He installed switches and Wireless repeaters in both houses. The system has been incredibly robust and trouble free. When Austin Energy's power goes out, George is often the first to know, as he must get an alert when our network goes down. At some point, guests started to have difficulty accessing and using the WiFi. George was able to trouble shoot and repair the problem remotely. Since the root cause of that hiccup was outside of our network, we really have not had a network problem in 16 months. That's the kind of performance that's worth paying top dollar for. Being able to call George if and when problems arise has also been a great investment. We've dealt with a lot of contractors over the past few years and Simple Clarity is in the top 5%.
