We went with a two-tier (4in and 6in) cake and opted to drop off artificial florals to decorate on top a few days prior, though they also offered to source them for a fee. I sent them my inspo and they were open to all my questions via email, including redoing the invoice to include delivery when I realized pickup and cake storage was not feasible for my family on wedding day. Delivery was $15 to Avenida Restaurant in Downtown San Mateo. They also added a fondant circle on top so we could add our own cake topper. Hi Everyone, After searching for the right wedding cake designer we decided to go with Simple Delights. The reason being, we liked the aesthetic of their cake designs and also loved the fact that they offer Ube Cake and Ube Cheesecake options. Filipino We met with the cake designer and her name is Jessica. Jessica not only walked us through different options, she also helped us finalize the vision for our cake. We ended up choosing a 3 tier Ube Cake with the top layer being Ube Cheesecake. Buttermilk frosting, with succulents designs around the cake. We also ordered 2 dozen mini cakes and mini ube Cheesecakes as well. Jessica also created the cake topper for us on the house which was extremely nice of her. Jessica dropped the cake off exactly the time she promised and wow, everyone Loved everything. In fact, Jessica's desserts were such a hit that we didn't even get any! LOL! Our wedding cake from Simple Delights was a custom, amazing, and a guest favorite. We ordered an ube cake with Oreo cream filling. Jessica was quick in her correspondence, and we sampled different flavors to determine the perfect cake for the occasion. We wanted an ube cake since it's unique and culturally relevant (since we're Filipino). The Oreo filling was a nice touch and was consistently our favorite in trying the varying combinations. For me, I don't like my cakes too thick nor dry, I like when they're moist and light enough to keep me coming back for more. Jessica met my tastes down the smallest detail (whether I made that known or not). She was also very accommodating and collaborative when brainstorming the design of the cake. She uses buttercream and not fondant to cover her cakes, which was a huge plus! Not only delicious, our cake was beautiful to look at, so beautiful it felt like a crime to cut into it! We were able estimate together how much cake we would need per guest, and were able to order vegan-friendly cupcakes for our guests too. No cake was wasted, and every guest was properly satisfied.
