This Bakery is lovely. The vast selection of treats was enormous that it was hard to make just 1 choice. The thumbprint cookies were chosen, 1 raspberry and 1 apricot. A Tiramisu, rich and full of flavor and 2 other delightful desserts to take home. The array of cookie, cakes, breads were wonderful. They also had world cup final cookies to choose from. I am looking forward to returning to enjoy a pastry and coffee in the indoor seating area. It looked quaint and as if you were in a foreign spot.

Awesome bakery and restaurant located in the heart of Burlingame avenue. Sat outdoor with my doggie to people watch. Food was excellent and the ambiance was fantastic. Will definitely come back. My doggie gives this place 4 paws up

Glad I called them for my son's birthday cake. They did an excellent job. Cake & cupcakes were delicious.

Simply overrated and sell day old cookies at full price. My buddy's wife picked up some goodies for friends and I working on his home. Let's just say. The goodies weren't so good. When a bunch of men notice the cookies and pastry not being fresh at 10am. Not Good ! Later that day I recognizing the box while having a beer. I mentioned to my friends wife. That I had once visited the same bakery and found it tobe over price. She mentioned. She had paid over $70 dollars for the treats. And that she and my buddy have been living in Burlingame for over 20 years and heard good things about Copenhagen. She stated. Was it that bad ? I stated. The sh@t is still on your kitchen island and when have you seen these guys leave any food. Period !

Excited to see this northern European bakery on the way to our trip. There was no price tag in each item but generally was very affordable (less than 10 each for a big piece of napoleon and princess cake). Had to try out Semla (Swedish snowman looking bread with fresh cream/almond paste inside) as soon as we got the bread for curiosity. It was not comparable to the authentic real semla I had in Sweden but fulfills the flavors, with that fresh cream, cardamom, and almond jam. The bread was a bit dry and wish it was freshly baked. Overall classic interior design and comfortable cozy local bakery vice, I'd love to visit again next time we pass by!

Fresh baked goods daily! Look at just some of it! Yummy! They have lots on their menu to eat there or order to go. I went with my students and we ordered burger and fries and Philly cheesesteak lunches. Forgot to take a photo of our lunches. Fast friendly and tasty!

Copenhagen Bakery is a charming neighborhood establishment with rich history. Located in downtown Burlingame, it was originally founded in 1977 by a Danish husband-and-wife duo and passed on to a new family in 2022 who've done a wonderful job preserving its local character and bakery excellence. They offer a wide array of pastries, but their true standouts are the traditional Danish baked goods. Expect plenty of butter, laminated dough, cardamom, almond paste, custard, and fruit preserves -- staples of Danish pastry culture. - Chocolate Petit Four -- layered almond cake with buttercream, coated in chocolate and finished with pistachio bits; crisp edges, smooth textures, and beautifully balanced flavors - Mozart -- sponge cake layered with apricot, French vanilla chocolate, and marzipan, then dipped in chocolate; moist and rich with a nice tart marzipan profile - Almond Horn -- crescent-shaped almond paste cookie rolled in sliced almonds and dipped in dark chocolate; my favorite of the three -- a European classic done right Inside, the bakery features long glass cases brimming with pastries, and they also have a full restaurant menu. The vibe is warm and welcoming, with friendly service and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend stopping by for a Danish pastry (or three).

Had lunch there a month ago mid-week and the place was crowded. Luckily, I was able to order quickly and get a table. I have only eaten there for breakfast and had not tried lunch. I went with one their specials, a chicken sandwich and fries. It was quite good and I never thought of them as a good sandwich place. I will have to remember them whenever I am in downtown Burlingame. Another note, they have an excellent selection of brewed coffee. This guy loves coffee and I had to stay a little longer to enjoy an extra cup. Okay, only one pic this time.

We stopped by here after a morning appt at UCSF around the corner from Burlingame Ave. This Bakery & Cafe seems pretty large, and it is divided into a bakery section on one side and cafe section on the other. It was confusing at first with multiple doors. Plenty of seating inside, and lots of seating outside on the sidewalk. It's a pretty chill environment in the morning. You don't feel rushed at all. The vibe : just relax, read a book, look out the window, or meet up with friends for coffee or meal. And there's a spacious restroom in the back. No diaper changing area, however I appreciate the door hook for hanging purses. The bakery section has lots of display cases showing off cakes, pastries, etc. You will be overwhelmed browsing through their offerings. So here's the weird thing I noticed. Price is not labeled on anything here. Another thing is the Beverages Sign on the wall behind the counter (see photo) lists the usual espresso drink you'd expect to find, and again, there are no prices listed. I picked up a Strawberry Muffin and a Cappuccino. I don't know what each one cost individually. I only know that I was charged $9.50 for both. The cost is not what bothers me. It's the lack of transparency on their pricing. I was looking forward to this sweet treat & morning caffeine. Unfortunately, the Strawberry Muffin was unremarkable. There are a few strawberries visible on top, but none on the inside (see photo). The inside is cake-like with not one strawberry inside. This was disappointing. The cappuccino looked more promising. There was good foam on top! But when I reached the coffee underneath, I found it to have a burnt bitter taste. It was undrinkable. Is this why they give you sugar? I normally drink my cappuccinos without any added sugars. Adding this packet of sugar did not help improve the coffee.

Come for the cake - forgo the rest of the menu! We came for brunch today after noticing just about every other place was packed. That's not to say that Copenhagen was empty but there was definitely a little more breathing room. I ordered the pancake combo and a latte and yikes, the latte was a shot of burnt espresso in a cup of milk. Like, you could taste the smokiness burnt. I would never serve that. The breakfast plate was decent though. Pancakes were smaller than most but it had that nice fluffy yet chewy texture. The bacon was thick and griddled just right to be crisp yet meaty and my favorite part was the fried medium egg. This one was cooked perfectly. It had that satisfying crispy edge with a still runny yolk - tasty! We also had some omelettes on the table but the egg looked way too thick and less like a nice eggy wrap. We also asked to sub some toast with a danish but it wasn't until long after we left that we realized we never got the danishes! Bummer!

I came in randomly just by walking by. I wasn't sure what I wanted. They had a large selection of different cakes and pasteries. The lady who helped me was super nice, but I was not super impressed with what I tried. I ordered a cookie, cupcake and a cheesecake. I will have to go back and try more items. Service 5/5 Food: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5

Food here was super delicious, came here for brunch there was no wait. You can sit inside or outside. I highly recommend the breakfast potatoes but the hashbrows are nice too. Staff was very friendly. And the atmosphere was very nice.

Just beautiful cookie and pastry choices if you're looking for something to bring to a party or gathering. Check out the festive seasonal holiday cookies too, like Halloween they had some ghost pumpkin and spooky character pieces, would decorate a party table very nicely if you're going for a theme. Cakes can be bought in slices if you just want a bit

    Cake selection always on point!

Their menu has a ton of options, although there aren't many pictures, so it took us a minute to decide. Thankfully the staff were super friendly and patient. We ordered a dozen Binka Bites in 6 different flavor (Choco Bavarian, Dubai Chocolate, Churro Biscoff, Nutella, Oreo, and Mango Cream), 2 Spam Musubis, and a Chicken Empanada. It was my first time trying Binka Bites and I really enjoyed them. The texture reminds me of a hybrid between mochi and sponge cake, soft, chewy, and not overly sweet. My favorite flavor out of the box was definitely the Nutella. For leftover, I would recommend to microwave them for a 5-8 seconds before eating so it will be soft and warm. The Spam Musubi had a great spam-to-rice ratio imo (very important lol) with decent amount of sauce. Meanwhile, the Chicken Empanada was fresh, hot, and packed with flavorful shredded chicken. Overall, it was a really great first visit. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying their Mini Adobo Rice with Scrambled Egg next time.

Maison Alyzée is a French fine pastry bakery café located on downtown Burlingame's main strip. Dedicated to providing customers with a Parisian escape through handcrafted elegant pastries and artisanal breads, the bake shoppe doubles as pâtisserie and boulangerie, priding itself on meticulous attention to detail. Upon entry, we were welcomed by a brightly lit and very clean venue. Ray and I were immediately drawn to the beautiful marble-topped white counter that encased a gorgeous variety of exquisite treats. The commitment to the elegance of French culture and modern creativity were evident in every luxurious pastry and cake on display. Maison Alyzée is an order-at-the-counter establishment, so we made our purchase with a friendly staff member at the register. Unfortunately, we were told that espresso drinks were no longer available that night since the staff had already begun cleaning the machines. Ok....I never understand businesses that start shutting down things before closing time. This just shows customers that team convenience of closing shop quickly takes precedence over customer experience, essentially omitting availability of items from the menu while they are still open. For this reason, I am docking a star. Luckily, they still had some cold brew available, so I ordered a Lavender Cold Brew with oat milk. Heads-up: Plant-based milks like almond and oat milk incur a $0.75 surcharge. I wish that the lavender was more like a simple syrup, so that the flavour was sweeter and less sharp. Maison Alyzée also offers a selection of breakfast, lunch, and brunch options. I definitely need to return to try one or two or a few of their ostentatious delights.
