I just got home from my first dental appointment in almost 10 years and it's safe to say I went into it pretty nervous. It took no more than 10 minutes for my fears to go away. The staff is very kind and concerned with the patients needs. Dr. Wendy Yeung as well as her assistant (sorry, forgot her name) and Julie, the receptionist, were helpful with any of my questions and looked into the most economical options to get my couple of cavities taken care of. I go to Simply Dental for dental clean-up's as a part of my dental hygiene schedule. So, my review talks only about dental clean-up experience and not any other treatments. Simply dental is by far the best dental experience I ever had. The staff are friendly and the hygienists are great at their job. + Super easy to set up an appointment. + They don't have insane cancellation policies. They understand that "life happens" and there might be days when you miss your appointment. So, just call them whenever you think you might be unable to make it to your appointment. + They are a small but committed team. Both the hygienists I met so far were great. I always came out flashing a confident smile. + Work very well with the insurance folks. I never had any problems till date about any payments etc. So, make sure you talk to the receptionist about your insurance provider before undergoing any treatment. read more

Simply Dental is amazing! From being greeted by Julie at the front desk to seeing staff and doctors to follow-up phone calls everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I, like so many others, am terrified of going to the dentist, even for a filling. They have worked with me through all of this and been very understanding. I came to this place last year due to convenience. Luckily, it's a great place! It is very clean and modern. I feel confident that they have the latest knowledge and tech. I also love that they promote the healthier version of fillings as the standard instead of mercury. The receptionist was pleasant and easy to work with. Just moved to the area and picked these guys out based on their solid reviews and flexible hours (saturdays and evenings are available). Happy to report that I had a very pleasant cleaning and xray and everyone was super nice. Since I had seen my previous dentist fairly regularly, they were super cautious about not ordering anything I didn't need which I found refreshing. And all this got done on a saturday, no need to duck out of work and worry about things coming up. The one thing I will caution on (which was new to me) is that they seem to ascribe more strongly to using water and the suction brush rather than rinsing and spitting. I think part of it is that the stations are not set up for that, but I also think it helps the appointment go quicker. In any case, definitely seems like a great practice and the flexible hours really make it good for me (I go to the dentist 3 times a year, if not more). read more

I am a new patient with Simply Dental and visiting my daughter (Seattle, WA) who has been a patient for a while. I was returning from an overseas deployment (and stateside in Seattle for 1 week) so my window was very short/tight. I was I had a really phenomenal experience, believe it or not. I had been experiencing significant discomfort prior to my appointment. They were able to fit me into the schedule and complete all the necessary work (root cannel, filling and deep cleaning) within a 2 visit. The work based on my prior dental experience would take no less than a week possibly longer, particularly to complete the root cannel and crown. This work was completed with almost NO pain. I'll be honest I was expecting a far amount on discomfort particularly over the first night NONE!!! I highly recommend Simply Dental !!!!!!! I will be returning as a patient for the foreseeable future!! read more

After a poor experience with a living social deal last time I went to the dentist, I decided to trust the great reviews on yelp and try out Simply Dental. I am extremely impressed. The staff was helpful, friendly, professional and warm. There was a minor glitch with my scheduling (I only had to wait about ten minutes, which I'm used to at the dentist) but all the employees who saw me, including Dr. Yeung, apologized sincerely, as though it was a big deal. The hygienists were friendly and well trained. I didn't experience any discomfort during my visit. Dr. Yeung spent time actually cleaning my teeth, reviewing my xrays with me, and answering my questions; this was by far the longest I've had the attention of any dentist I've ever gone to. The waiting room and examining room were modern, clean and up to date - there was even a TV in the cleaning room to distract you, should you need distraction. I received a new patient gift of free teeth whitening. And, a few months later when my husband finally made his appointment and went in, he also had a great experience (and they even sent me a gift card as a thank you for referring him.) Even if I didn't live in the area, it would be worth it to make the trip to see this dentist. I don't write a lot of yelp reviews, but felt inspired to because the experience was that excellent. read more

Dr. Andrew Young is an amazing dentist. I needed some bonding replaced on my teeth, and he spent hours making them look perfect. He is truly an artist. I had a dental emergency the day before leaving on a trip, called them up because my own dental clinic (the UW) was closed. They were able to take me right away, took x-rays, eliminated the problem and did not charge me an arm and a leg to help me out. if and when i need a dentist outside of the UW Dental School, it will certainly be these guys!! They are professional, kind and do their best to serve their clients. read more

In 2013 I broke a front tooth while in Vegas and spent that entire weekend lookin' like a hillbilly. When I returned,I got it fixed by a dentist (who will not be named) that got me in immediately but did a horrible job, refused to listen to me & had poor professionalism. I was traumatized from going back to ANY dentist for 3 yrs. I did not smile the same anymore, for half of my tooth was yellow and shaped terribly. After doing a ton of research I finally got the courage to book an appt with Dr. Wendy Yeung last December. I was extremely anxious but the staff was very warm & welcoming. I had 2 deep cleanings to make up for all the neglect first. One of the things I immediately noticed was how clean the facility was, and the consistent sanitation practices of the staff, which was very reassuring. After consulting with her, we got a temporary crown fitted while my permanent crown was made. When it came time to get fitted, I had a few concerns which she handled with great attentiveness. She was honest & knowledgable, actually listened to me & made sure I was informed by what were realistic outcomes!!! Instead of brushing me off / lying to overpromise like that previous dentist who I went to. Dr. Yeung seriously went above & beyond to make sure my teeth were perfect for me!! Thanks to her I now have an amazing set of pearly whites; no more candy corn tooth. She is simply the best. I will not go anyone else, and neither should you! read more

I love Simply Dental. I moved to Seattle three years ago and waited the first two to find a dentist. What a mistake. I had very bad experiences with dentists in Florida, where I'm from, and was quite nervous to go anywhere. I had a bunch of issues with my teeth by the time I finally made it to Simply Dental. I made them aware of how nervous I was and let them in on my previous bad experiences. They made me feel so welcome! I have never, in my life, had such awesome experiences with a dentist's office. I am so stoked this place exists! After five or so separate appointments to fix all my teeth, I am happy to say that I felt no pain and the work they did was awesome. I called around looking for the best deal and overall I'm glad I went here. I needed an emergency wisdom tooth extraction. Availability was offered same day but my work prevented it so next day was also available. The procedure was comfortable enough. I appreciated the very friendly staff from reception to hygienists and doctors. I think the prices were fair under my circumstance. Convenient, friendly, professional. Just re-reading my review and realized I didnt say anything specific about Dr Andy - that was a MAJOR oversight! Dr Andy is wonderful: patient, kind, doesnt try to push un-needed work, and never rushes you. Most importantly, he is a true artist, which sounds kinda funny to say abouta dentist BUT - selecting the color and shape of your crown is a pretty complex process. Sadly, I've had many crowns, but the ones from Dr Andy look so, so perfect. I dont think its a stretch to say that I kinda love Dr Andy, I love Simply Dental, and I would probably write a 5-star review for this place every month -- I actually look forward to coming here and my dental health is much improved as a result read more

Went in here to make a appointment for wisdom teeth extractions. Was treated very well from start to finish and the doctors here seem very caring and careful throughout. The nice lady at the front desk is extremely helpful and friendly as well :). Got a cleaning done and had two wisdom teeth extracted here. There was practically no wait, maybe five minutes at most. Both procedures were practically painless, in fact, the cleaning was probably more uncomfortable than the wisdom teeth extraction. Within two days of the extraction I felt fine. Also, I had a problem with something that my last dentist didn't know the reason for, but Dr. Lee immediately told me what was going on. Unfortunately I'm only in Seattle for a couple of months, but if I lived here I would never go to another dentist. A++++ would get teeth extracted again read more

I feel really lucky to have found the dentists Wendy and her brother Andy. They are the most careful and sincere practitioners I've ever experienced. I'm not someone that feel relaxed in any dental chair but I have confidence that they will make sure I'm taken care of. So I'm at ease in knowing that I'm never left with doubts unanswered. Sometimes after an operation I'm always worried if everything feels right and they'll always let me come back immediate to double check, and never charging me extra. These guys really make sure patients are taken care of and never over charge. They are also extremely accommodating when I've had bad back and willing to cooperate with my other health practitioners, even though I'm sure it took them much longer work time! To wrap it up in the office the lovely Julie fixes everything else! Insurance, stress, restaurant suggestions, emergency appointments for friends... and they always give you goodies for every visit! I've been seeing Dan and Wendy for about 3 years now and they are fantastic. The building is extremely clean and very modern. A nice little plus as it makes things feel all the more comfortable. Both Dan and Wendy, and all staff included, are wonderfully kind and helpful. I had many insurance questions during my first visit and they were all answered for me quickly. I know most people don't get excited for the dentist, that's understandable, but do yourself a favor and at least make it the best possible experience you can by visiting Simply Dental. I'm so lucky to find Dr. Wendy. Before her I had other dentists who would give uncomfortable experience or do fillings that needed fixing later on. Dr. Wendy is the best dentist I've had so far. She is very friendly, efficient, and good at her job. I tend to get nervous when I get fillings, but with her I am able to relax because she operates very gently and cooperates very smoothly with her assistant. Great experience from start to finish! Julie at the front desk was cheerful and friendly. They had me complete my new patient forms online prior to my appointment to make the check-in process smooth. I arrived early and they took me almost immediately. After a thorough (and again friendly!) cleaning by Jamie, I had all of my issues/questions answered and addressed professionally. I appreciated that they ran all of the procedures through insurance first to tell me what my final bill would be for approval prior to taking any action. I've been to many other dental offices (my teeth are bad and I always need work done) and the service at Simply Dental is unbeatable. She sat down with me and helped me pick a dental insurance plan that best fit my needs which I am now on because she recommended it. I have a ton of dental work that needs done and she laid out the treatment options and plans and helped me schedule it out to work with my budget. Her customer service skills are top notch and she goes the extra mile. -The rest of the staff is super friendly too. -Appointments are easy. A few weeks ago I had a tooth ache and they were able to squeeze me in to get it looked at. -The facilities are clean, modern, and comfortable. -Dr. Wendy Yueng did my fillings and root canal (and will be doing the rest of my work). She is friendly and took the time to answer any questions and explain the plan. During a long session of fillings, taking out old fillings (from a different dentist), and a root canal she seemed very thorough and committed to doing a good job. So I hadn't seen a dentist since I was a kid. I was pretty apprehensive considering my last memory of the dentist was very painful one. I knew I had to get a cleaning because I was told by someone I care about that my breath was bad. So I was scared about going and didn't know what to expect. I had no Idea what damage had been done, but as soon as I called Simply Dental I was put at ease. I expressed my fears about experiencing pain and they assured me that they would treat me with kid gloves. I get there, I didn't wait long and they were all very nice and they took care of me. It was a long cleaning but no pain aside from minor discomfort from the numbing. The person who did the cleaning was thorough and sweet. I am a new patient at Simply dental. So far I've had a deep cleaning, a root canal, and a cavity filled. My experience with Veary was grueling. Not all on her, it's just a deep cleansing can be traumatizing in general. When I came in for my first root canal, Veary was extremely rough when doing the novocane. No warning. I was adimate about a female dentist, I got Dr. Andy. He tested to see if I still had feeling. I said yes. He warned me that I was going to feel a little pinch (something that Veary didn't do). He was very diligent and gentle in the entire process. He took X-rays during and after, something I've never experienced from any dentist before. Chio the assistant was also very tender with me and accomodating. When my son is born, he will be coming to this dentistry with me. Veary is wonderful, but some forewarning and gentleness would really help. The entire staff is awesome, chordial, and very accomidating.
