We asked our waitress if they have garlic knots and she looked at us as if we asked for haggis - she acted as if she's never heard of them! It's a pizza place in New England & they don't have garlic knots?!! We were there from 5:30-6:30 on a Monday. I've updated this to four stars based on their customer service. After posting my previous review the owner John contacted me apologizing for the unfortunate experience my friends and I had. He was incredibly nice, and made sure to address the issue with his staff - which is above and beyond customer service! He then even offered a free meal on them, which I refused because with the great food and beer I will definitely be stopping in again, especially with a whole new view on their customer service! It's nice to know that there are still businesses out there that care about their patrons... because it's not something you run into all the time. I'm sure that after next time I visit Stove L'oven there's a good chance I'll be updating to 5 stars! read more

This place is clean, cute and short distance from where we stayed. One of the locals recommended this place. Our family, which included 9 people all loved it. This was rare because we always had a few who complained about something. My boys loved the cheese pizza it was crispy and thing and so tasty, my husband and in-laws loved the Meatball sandwich it was not greasy or spicy and the are from Brooklyn. MY father had the Shrimp scampi and it was the best he had. Not greasy what so ever, I had the Portobello & Mozzarella panini which was just right and delicious and oh so crispy. The food is good but the pizza is EXTREMELY overpriced. I expect to pay a little more on Main Street but this place was ridiculous. My husband and I were completely caught off guard when we tasted the pizza at Stone L'oven. WOW! We couldn't believe our taste buds! Columbus Day 10/14/13 Came down to Falmouth for the day with our dog Bella. Noticed the restaurant has out door seating. Our server was great! He actually come out with water and treats for Bella. My wife and I happened on this place when looking for lunch in town. We immediately found the menu and the atmosphere appealing. We sat at the bar, had a delicious salad, a great wrap and excellent pizza. The customer service was excellent. The bartender, whom we later found out was one of the co-owners spent a great deal of time chatting with us and sharing their vision for a great restaurant experience. My wife and I stopped in for one of their 4 or 5 outdoor tables after spending a couple of hours sitting at a Falmouth beach on a day off from work, and it was quickly clear that to view this as a pizza place is to underestimate it. Not only was the pizza at a higher culinary level than most, but the soups we ordered were superior, far from ordinary. And the staff were also very courteous and helpful. We have seldom eaten out since COVID began, and this felt like a safe and pleasant way to do it. read more

Wanted to leave a review because the food was average and the service worse than that. I ordered the pesto chicken wrap-waited 35 minutes OVER the estimated time. I think I got the wrong sandwich after all that waiting. Heavy mayonnaise without a lot of pesto taste. Unless I didn't read it carefully nowhere could I see that it was more like a chicken salad wrap. They do take your money up front and ask if you want to leave a gratuity. Happy to leave a 20 percent tip if the service is good -doesn't even have to be great. The girl bringing the food out was stressed and not at all accommodating to try to help me out. THEY DO HAVE GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS! Visited with a group of 5, we were sat almost immediately. Wine list was great, Draft list was a little lacking. As a beer drinker this is what's holding me back from a higher rating. SALADS- We ordered 2, each was enough to feed 2-3 people each. PIZZAS- Came out in about 20 minutes. Flavor and texture were EXCELLENT. We had some straight off the menu and some build your own. You could tell how high quality the ingredients were. No runny cheese, no excessive grease, flavor was even and consistent through each bite. Texture was wonderful, again there was no excessive grease so, the ingredients stood alone and didn't melt together, meats were meats, veggies were veggies. A nice strong crust that was still soft enough to blend with the rest of the food while consuming. GLUTEN FREE PIZZA (for family member with Celiac)- Outstanding. The gluten free crust is not made in house, but is as fresh and high quality as the regular crusts and dough. Staff was incredibly helpful with menu options, and service was outstanding! Folks like the wonderful Joe Blood who've been there for years stepping in from his usual rock star bartender assignment to make sure everybody gets all the delicious food with a smile on his face and a song in his heart makes it extra special during this unique time. I was visiting family in Bourne the week before last. They wanted to go for pizza. I was not jazzed, but they assured me that I would be impressed. Impressed would be an understatement. The service was phenomenal!! The waitress was very professional. We went on a Friday night and our pizzas still arrived at our table quickly. The adults in our group ordered a large pie with pepperoni, extra cheese, caramelized onions and roasted red peppers. Stopped in today for lunch. It was a rainy day so I opted for a cup of tomato soup and a kids' grilled cheese (there was no regular option). Along with a seltzer water my bill came to $17. This is something I'd expect at some artisan place but this was a wonder bread and land o lakes grilled cheese with a (super salty) CUP of soup and a vlasic pickle.
