From the tender crusted pizza to their many other entrées, I've never been disappointed. My absolute favorite is the mac & cheese; creamy as they come, be prepared to share or take some home with you. The salads are always fresh and generous. What's the point of rating a pizza place? A pizza joint is a pizza joint, right? I first came here about a year ago, and while the hubby and a friend ordered pizza, I ordered Simply Divine's Mac & Cheese dish, which wasn't too shabby at all. It was good enough for me to say "Sure, I'd probably come back here if we're in the area". They loved the fig and prosciutto pizza they ordered! We had an opportunity to visit Falmouth again with another visiting friend recently and returned here. This time I figured I would try a pie, and we all agreed on ordering the scallop and bacon pizza. Well, I will eat the words from this review's first sentence now...and another pizza, please!! It was great! Actually, the best pizza I've had in a long, long time. Nice smoky flavor to the bacon, too! The hubby and I will make a point of coming back here and try more of their specialty pizzas! Good looking place, and service is fine. Cool, crafty gourmet pizza. Nice sophisticated atmosphere, but welcoming - lots of families, kids, and casually dressed diners (like yours truly). I did a half/half 16in pizza with a friend (Sweet Potato Bacon and White Pizza) and was very impressed. Pizza was thin and delicious - not too heavy or greasy. Slices were decent sized and I was full after two! I liked how many innovative options they offered. A bit expensive, but standard for good food in the Falmouth area. Pro tip: bread and butter costs you money, so don't ask for any or you will be charged! read more

I discovered Stone L'oven when a friend invited me out for a catch up night. I was an immediate fan for the first time I went! Between the quality of food, pricing and staff, I had a positive experience and couldn't wait to go back. Months later, my band and I started playing there regularly at an open mic night and I only grew to love the place more. The Stone L'Oven staff went above and beyond for making sure everything was to our complete satisfaction. The food is always delicious! My personal favorite is the spinach artichoke dip which I can't help but ALWAYS get. Another great, and unique menu item is their s'mores dessert where you are able to roast your own s'mores over a little fire! Who doesn't LOVE s'mores?! I give this place 5 stars. I have absolutely no complaints about this place and it will always be a favorite go-to place for this girl! read more

Stopped by with a family of 6, and they had accommodations in 10-15 minutes. The pizza was great, service was attentive and quick, if you walking down Main Street it's a great place to stop in and have dinner. Nothing beats a great wood oven pizzeria! FOOD: The pesto chicken pizza was a potpourri of flavors... my only recommendation would be eliminate the peppers... otherwise it was spot on. SERVICE: No complaints. Waitress was very friendly as compared to some other Falmouth establishments who believe they are too yuppedy! OVERALL: Highly recommend this place. I came here this evening for some good pizza. I had been here before and wanted to give it a go again. Arrived around 5 pm and the place was dead. I thought, awesome we should get in and get out fairly quickly. Ordered a soda and a large meatlovers pizza. The pizza came out nice and hot and the pepperoni was actually cooked before thrown on the pizza. I love cooked pepperoni. I wasn't very hungry so I only ate 1 slice but the rest came home with me. My service however was subpar. That was my only dislike about the place, I ended up only getting a soda instead of a refill which made me kind of upset. If I'm there when the restaurant is dead, I expect much better service than what I got. I would come back, I however wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more

We have only gotten good to go and have it catered for parties, but the people here and food are both excellent. We called and the guy on the phone helped us accommodate the correct amount of food for our party and was so nice about making sure we had enough. The pizzas here are excellent and gave so many options to choose from. Gluten free is also an option, which is nice. The half pan of pasta was delicious but we REALLY loved the meatballs we added to the order. Very reasonable pricing and they deliver which was so nice. read more

On a walk through Falmouth, we were looking for something reasonably priced after spending a great deal on eating out on the Cape and Islands. We were happily surprised at the quality of the food for the price. We shared a small pizza (9.99 plus toppings) and even had a slice left over for later. The quality and taste were outstanding. Solid choice for pizza in Falmouth. We stopped in based on Yelp reviews and while we thought it was good, we weren't as wowed as some other reviewers. It's about a 3.5, but since I don't think there are any other brick oven options in the area, I'll round up. They have about five beers on draft and a passable wine list. We started with the hummus. It was nicely spiced and seemed homemade. I didn't like that it was served with cold pita bread. I was hoping for so something more creative or that the bread would have been warmed. We decided to order two small pizzas so we could try a specialty pizza and the red sauce. For the specialty we tried the chicken pesto and for a red, we created our own with mozzarella, asiago, sausage and caramelized onions. We enjoyed them both. They were loaded with toppings. The crust was on the crisp side and not soggy. They weren't the best pizzas I've ever had, but were pretty good. Service was good. If I were in Falmouth and craving pizza, I'd probably stop in again. read more

My only regret is I let the waiter talk me out of getting the bowl of chowder. Instead I got a cup and it was so good I could have ate like 5 more. The pizza was also really good but it didn't top the chowder. They say they make there soups from scratch and holy cow. I thought it was really cool they had a decent amount of vegetarian options as well a gluten free pizza crust option. I know how annoying it can be to try and find a gluten-free option so I was pumped to see they were offering one. The staff was super sweet and made us feel really at home. Our waiter sat down next to us and patently talked over what would be best for us to get. I understand that he was looking out for my best interest when he recommended getting a cup of the chowder instead of the bowl so I would have room for the pizza but honestly if I was to go back I probably would just get the chowder. First impression of this restaurant was a good one. After years of being around Falmouth and mostly only knowing that Papa Gino's & Steve's were the first places that came to mind, I seldom ever got a pizza. So I went looking local. Not so much for a pizza but just a really good review. What I saw on here gave promise. Then I decided promise wasn't enough, I had to try it myself. The menu has enough to choose from. Sandwiches, wraps, pasta, pizza, calzones and maybe something else. First time here, ordered the tortellini and the 3-cheese pizza. Nothing outstanding about the tortellini. Pretty easy to make without problem. The price and portions were about right so they've got that going for them. After browsing their menu online, I decided I couldn't go to a place that seemed heavy on the pizza selections and not order one. Having a dinner already, the small 3-cheese was enough to satisfy, and walk back out the door with a box of leftovers for later. Service was OK. The only times I would see the waiter were for drinks, meal order/receive, and to ask for the check. That was alright, considering a drink refill was not needed. If this was a giant chain restaurant I might complain more about "Where the hell did our server go?" but being that my dining experience was low maintenance, no issue to be made of it. They also deliver, and you can dine inside and out from what it looked like. I'm pretty sure the outdoor seating RIGHT THERE was for them. The semi-invisible waiter isn't the reason for 4 stars. The food was what I hoped it would be, although the pizza & the crust were pretty damn good. It's definitely worth the visit. read more

Worth it for the Unique Pizza Options The line for this restaurant was out the door and about 30 min long when we first arrived, probably in part due to inexperience among the seating staff. The pizza itself came in lots of unique options - I tried the Shrimp Scampi Pizza and the Fig & Prosciutto Pizza. Both were very good and interesting to try, but neither were really outstanding. We just arrived at the Cape with my husband and 1 yr old and were walking up and down the Main Street looking for a place to settle for lunch. We wanted something with sandwiches and good variety. We were shocked after sitting down and finding out the extensive menu they have. We ordered the tuna melt panini and turkey melt panini. We wanted to order some chicken for our daughter so we opt for the garlic lemon parm chicken wings under their appetizer section. It arrived and let's just say its the best wings I've ever had! I love chicken wings and gets very picky when it comes to flavor. These were very flavorful and moist. Just the perfect mix. The sandwiches came out and it was yummy! Didn't disappoint at all for the price of it all. I'll definitely go back for seconds. In fact we end up ordering pizza from them the next night. We got the chicken pesto pizza. If you need gluten-free pizza and cross-contamination isn't a huge concern, Stone L'oven is the place to go. We went in today, the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, and the place was solidly busy, but seated us right away for dinner. We ordered two pies gluten-free: the Mediterranean and the Three Cheese. Both were excellent -- the Mediterranean was covered in luscious veggies, the right blend of sweet and savoury, and the Three Cheese was intensely cheese-tastic, improved only by a little black pepper. They managed to get the crust right -- actually crispy on the edges, not the underdone cardboard that passes for gluten-free pizza crust at a lot of places. Staff was attentive and informative. One star off for the noise level -- at 6 pm, it was already intense and it was challenging to hold a conversation, largely due to children. The cross-contamination is a problem, but if you're merely sensitive and you take digestive enzymes, it's not as bad as it could be. Considering that there's no designated GF menu, that they just make their regular pizza menu on the crusts, that for us was a small price to pay. Overall, a solid, enjoyable choice for pizza in Falmouth. This was a dinner on a whim that totally paid off. read more

Good pizza mediocre sandwich. The only restaurant in Cape Cod where we were treated with extreme rudeness. Ordered take out and while standing and waiting for our food we were asked to step aside to the "waiting area" 2 feet to the right where we would "be out of the way". When asked if we could sit at an empty table with our take out food in a room 3/4 empty, we were told no. After many dirty looks our food was ready and we left. We may be tourists, but remember you're in the customer service industry. Don't be rude to the customers who are trying to support your small business. Bar staff (Joe and Dennis) were very attentive and helpful with suggestions (e.g. Salads splittable with surplus for take home). Service was ***** and friendly. Food was delicious ordered: Asian Salad and Pizza (1/2 Margarita + 1/2 Scallops & Bacon). Scallops cooked perfectly, not chewy. Dessert Bread Pie & Cookie and milk Atmosphere was bustling. Thinner crust and tasty sauce. Six of us were seated right away on a Sunday late afternoon but it was a bit busy when we arrived. One suggestion is to add a side salad. I really enjoy the food here. It's my favorite pizza place in Falmouth in terms of quality and taste. I would say my biggest knock on them would be the price. You can easily spend over $40-$50 on two pizzas which does seem a little excessive. We usually do take out, however on occasion we've dined in and service was good. Nothing special that I clearly remember, but nothing terrible either. It's definitely worth trying The pizza though! read more

Seriously, the best pizza place I've been to in ages, maybe ever! Over a 4 day weekend, we had dinner here two of those nights. First night was the chicken pesto pizza and the fourth night was their house special pizza made into a calzone. Besides having a nice crunchy chewy crust, their sauce and toppings are great. Actually, let me be more specific...their red sauce IS THE BEST I've ever had!!! On top of all that, the waitress and waiter we had both nights were superb! Ordered pizza for delivery. Made a point to ask for plates and utensils since we were not at home. Also let them know we would be paying cash. The delivery person shows up without utensils and without change. He ended up getting a 50% tip. I called and asked for the utensils and change. He came back with $5.
