After scheduling the work with Nick, he and Gerry showed up on time and began the job by professionally covering everything in house in the area where they would be working to ensure that the house stayed clean during and after construction is completed. They then proceeded by placing stickers on the ceiling showing the proposed layout of the can lights so that there are no surprises of the light fixtures' locations after they've drilled holes in your ceiling and have it be too late to make changes. Friggin' amazing job. I was hesitant at first because the price he quoted me was almost 1/4 the price of my other estimate from a competitor (as if there was a catch). Nick installed 17 recessed lights with Philips Hue smart bulbs (I'm so fancy now) + (2) 120 volt outlets above my kitchen cabinets to power LED strips in my 1,100 sq ft. condo. I asked Nick about angled cans because I have vaulted ceilings and he recommended that I stick with regular cans for my setup. I made contact after having a great recommendation for this electrician and after viewing his Yelp reviews and work. I contacted the "electrician" 8 times within a 2 hr time frame because i am very limited on the time I have to get the installation taken care of. Regardless of anything I never expected to get lectured and on top of that feel belittled because of my small installation job. I feel embarrassed & honestly hurt. No business owner has every made me feel like a child. Im sorry for my urgency & for the 8 phone calls but this is no way any customer should ever feel or be treated. Shame on you. I am so happy with the work Nick did for us. When I first called him, I knew we were out of his service area, but I asked if we do a job in Palm Springs. Our project was big enough for him and he took it. He was $2,700 less than our lowest bid, so I was very happy he could take the job. They worked with my crazy schedule and around the unopened furniture boxes in the area where they installed my recessed lights. He paid attention to all the little details, has a very competitive price point, protects and covers everything around the area of work, very respectful, and responsive. I was shopping with the intention of getting prices on an installation of about 8 to 10 recessed LED lights. Nick's prices were actually the lowest that I had encountered so I wasn't really sure what to think. We were going back and forth a bit because I was trying to get an install done relatively quickly (before Thanksgiving) which he went out of his way to accommodate -- REALLY appreciated this! We ended up going with 8 new recessed lights, retrofitting another 9 or so, AND we managed to stay under budget for all of it. In addition, that also included the hook up to a room that did not have any existing recessed lighting AND a dimmer as well! After agreeing on a date to do the work, I took time off work to have the work done. As I waited at home, Nick called and said that he wasn't feeling well. If he wasn't well why couldn't he send someone else? Everything seemed suspicious. I believe he got a better job offer and decided to take that one. Nick and his crewman Jerry were excellent! I had 2 chandeliers I needed to install, hand made, imported from Turkey. This was a very custom installation, the chandelier came without any instructions or hanging hardware. I spoke with Nick prior to our install several times on the phone, and he even stopped by to look at the 2 chandeliers prior to. He brought all the hardware, medallions, junction box, mounting box, and every possible alternative he could think of that we would need. He even gave me some very good advice on relocating the chandelier, even though it meant less money in his pocket. On the day of install, Nick and Jerry showed up promptly, covered my newly finished entry way flooring, put up a scaffolding and patiently took their time and did everything perfectly. They even changed some electrical connections around to accommodate me. They were super careful with my delicate chandeliers, wrapping and securing the glass before hoisting it. They worked from 7:30 to 3:00 until the job was done, without even breaking for lunch! Despite the extra work and changes I made, Nick stuck true to his quote. Nick was extremely helpful through the entire ceiling installation process. I had three ceiling fans that needed to be installed so I called numerous places for quotes. Not only did Nick provide a fair price but he was thorough and communicated with me through the entire process. The big deal in my installation was two of the three were not pre-wired!!! So Nick explained the process of cutting a minimal number of holes in the walls so he could run the wire to the light switches. The following is a response to Ann R's response below after my initial review. She tries to put on good spin on her company's effort and says Nick tried to connect with me. In a private message, she said, "I see that he had tried calling on the notes but was not able to connect with you." Why wasn't there a voicemail if he didn't connect with me? I checked my phone activity for that day. I don't know Nick's phone number so I can't verify whether he actually called or not, but I can verify that I had no repeat calls from anyone.
