You can believe the other great reviews, this was the most relaxing smog check I've ever had. Seemed a bit pricier but seriously, the convenience and comfort is worth it! I sat in the massage chair using their free (and fast) WiFi while i had an ice cream sandwich (and the fridge is full of stuff to drink and eat, plus there's crackers and cookies in the jar, teas and coffees etc). on july 14, 2020, i was blessed to buy my full-size truck (06 ram) from a private owner. of course, to change ownership (title transfer) i need a smog test. i live a few blocks from *simply smog* and noticed the signage over the years - so went there on july 18th, at approximately 0800 hours. as i drove up the attendant told me to drive forward (into the garage). before i pulled forward, i asked him 'what is the cost for a smog test"? he replied $98.00. i replied $98.00? "he said yes - that's for unlimited testing" (and then said) "you can come tomorrow it's free - because it's sunday and we're closed then" (a 2nd male inside was laughing) - (omg) did he just say that. needless to say - i had to use the power prayer, and simply drove away. it makes you wonder whether or not he said that because i'm african american or does he simply have no clue how to teach customers. i'm still shaking my head:( read more

You will definitely pay a little bit more for a smog check here however, the price is worth it considering the snacks and entertainment provided (which is a godsend when you have to bring your little one with you.) I'm also happy to pay a little bit more considering they get you in and out in a matter of minutes. Easiest and fastest smog check I've ever experienced. Okay so for a smog check, it can be around 70-75 bucks, but it is such a great experience. They are so nice. I, personally, will pay the money just to go and sit on their couches for 20 min and drink the coffee, water, juice that they have for all their customers for free. I even took a few cookies for the road. The customer service was great and I got my smog check. Win-Win. read more

I love this place, Yes I know saying you love a place you get smog checks at is odd. However that being said, I LOVE THIS PLACE. I have gone two times and both times they were quick, polite, and friendly. I went in today pulled up, they did the quick paper work then told me to have a seat in their waiting area. Now the waiting area has nice couches and chairs, plus they have sodas, coffee, fruit, chips, ice cream plus a few other things I may have missed and they are all free to have while you wait. Plus they have a nice TV showing a movie, they have air hockey, a stationary bike, a weight bench and even an blood pressure machine if you are so inclined. Add to all this that they also have an air conditioned lounge that I did not check out. If you need Smog Check for your car THIS IS THE PLACE to go. read more

Was a tad pricier than what I've paid at the other places but the customer service is fantastic! The guy running the place was very nice. In addition, he offers free ice cream, snacks, drinks, fresh fruit for his waiting customers. Has a television with the news on and comfortable chairs to relax in. The customers wait no longer than 15 min for their smog but still considerate to go the extra mile to keep his customers happy, healthy and relaxed. read more

This is the only place I would ever go back to for a smog check. The gentleman that helped me was Dave. Very friendly, energetic, welcoming individual. Service was fast and allowed me to get in and get out so i could get on with the rest of my day. The lounge area / man cave is also stocked with soda, coffee, water and juices which is also a nice added bonus for a quick 10 minutes stop over while waiting for my vehicle. read more

First review ever, but felt compelled as I appreciate well run customer focused businesses. If you care about price, this isn't the cheapest. If you appreciate a good old fashioned business that prides itself on the best possible customer experience, then this is the place for you. Sure, this is a commoditized service, but where else can you play air hockey, piano, or sing karaoke while you wait? Who else cares? This place is the funnest place to get your car smogged! The owner provides snacks and refreshments while you wait.

A week ago I came in to have my car smog. Although the price was very uninviting to most costumers ($85) It didn't bother me as I expected quality service in which I got. Surely the economy class lounge, free water from the "filter", and some snacks did not make up for the exaggerated mark-up. The service tech was awesome and took care of my car. It only took about 10min and I was out. I even told the service tech I would bring my other car considering the quality service given that day. He even told me if I did bring my second car a discount of $10-20 dollar would be honored which was great. I brought my other car that day and the service tech scanned my car and found error codes "beforehand" and told me to fix first before testing because it would certainly fail, I was grateful for him to tell me this before testing and failing me instead to only come back and pay extra in which this places does from previous reviews (taxes, fees, etc...you know the story) He even granted me $20 off for my second car when I came back how awesome is that. Then why the one star? Well here's where it got very sketchy so let me explain before this review gets taken down for being absolutely honest. But thats ok because besides yelp it will be exploited and shared through many channels. Remember the part when I said I would bring my other car back? Well I did 2 days after being fixed. I was anticipating to have another wonderful experience until the Owner/BigBoss was there. Thats right, I believe its righteous to keep his name hidden for security purpose, but JAMES was a horrid experience. As soon as I stepped to the counter and explained that I brought my second car, a quick nope, $85 always has been always will be attitude was revealed. I had no say and he was absolutely rude as he rushed me with a take it or leave it vibe. The service tech didn't even have a chance to explain as well. And so I left not because of the price but because of customer service. Yes you are the owner of this business but selling out values will always end you quick. As a business person I truly believe in listening to what the customer wants but that day was the worst I've seen. I thought the service tech was the owner as I gave him so much respect for his integrity. I do truly apologize and it hurts me to give a terrible review but this was not for me, this is for future customers to be given a fair shake. Word of advice, Try down the block $50-$60 dollars per car. Don't waste your time at a misleading pony show of a smog station. Peace. -Rich read more
