Years later, this is still one of my favorite Thai spots at the beach! Located in a strip mall off of Mayport Road there is tons of parking. On a Saturday night around 7 PM we were immediately sat and provided great service. Place was about half full, had a quiet vibe, however, good for large groups as a group of 15 people came in when we were leaving. I was highly impressed with both the curries we got for our table. The Green curry might have stolen the show. I loved the tofu in the other curry and would probably choose that again next time. Highly recommend for authentic Thai food.

A surprise when you walk through the door. Nicely appointed seating and a comfortable ambiance. The food is good unfortunately they don't have sticky rice. The service is friendly and prompt. It's really nice that they use fresh chilies and not ground chili powder . The pricing is good for the food you get. All in all this is very close but not quite if you're used to Thai food from Thailand.

If you love Thai food, you must try Simply Tasty Thai in Mayport! Sara B. & I absolutely adored our meal, the vibe, and the service. We shared & happily devoured each item. I want to order the 3 Kingdom Curry entree at my next visit. It includes a portion of any three different curry dishes with your choice of protein.

Golden Money Bags and Lumpia! We ate our main dishes and forgot to get pix!!

Not enough great things to be said about Chef Nancy and her delicious food! Authentic, yet personalized!! Being a cancer patient, I'm very sensitive to heat, but I still enjoy FLAVOR! Chef Nancy came to the table and made suggestions and was Right on the Money and cooked the BEST Thai dish I've ever eaten! It was a very mild drunken noodle dish, but also make sure to get their crab Rangoon's and lumpia. Hubby loved the soup!!! Go and fall in Love with Great Thai!! Yummy!!!! Super pretty little place!

    Awesome Art from Chef Nancy

Late lunch at STT and got a 5-piece Crab Rangoon and Chicken Tom Kah for appetizer, they were alright, it was a different look and taste for us than other authentic Thai joints. Ordered the Phad Thai Seafood and it was a bit spicy as we only ordered medium spicy. We will just have to take it to-go and finish it at home. Service was awesome from Diane our kind and hospitable server during our visit. There is plenty of parking outside and the ambiance is relaxing. Very chill and mellow along with Chef Nancy's Buddhist inspired artwork. #supportlocal904

Simply Tasty Thai is hands-down our favorite Thai/Filipino restaurant in Mayport. My husband and I have been coming here over the last 5 years and it's always been a "Thai-rrific" experience. While it is located a bit further for us from St. Johns, the culinary journey is well worth it! ヽ(*‿*)ノFrom the moment you walk in, the friendly staff (Chef Nancy, Cynthia, Diane, Josh and Tang) all make you feel welcome like old friends on the classic sitcom Cheers catching up. Chef Nancy is the sweetest lady and an incredibly talented cook! She has curated the tastiest menu while also making you feel like you are eating in her kitchen. *:。゚ Every dish we've tried has been consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether it's the perfectly spiced curries, the savory Pad Se-Ew, Pad Thai, Thai Crispy Garlic Jumbo Shrimp, comforting Beef Noodle Soup, Pork BBQ sticks, Chicken Fried Garlic, Filipino Pancit Delight or their amazing Golden Money Bags (similar to Lumpia, my favorite), Filipino Lumpia or Crab Rangoon with curry appetizers, the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail always shines through! *:。゚ The lunch/dinner entrees all have great portions (we leave with 3-4 boxes of leftovers and look forward to each the next day. LOL). The atmosphere is warm, inviting and immaculately clean with beautiful decor all completely in line with the theme, making it perfect for a casual meal or a special night out. The staff are all incredibly attentive, personable, and knowledgeable about the menu. They definitely take the time to recommend dishes based on preferences with options from mild-level 1 to spicy-level 5 and ensured that our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable at every visit! ƪ(・‿・) If you're looking for authentic and delicious Thai/Filipino dishes especially if you are in the Mayport area, Simply Tasty Thai is the place to go! The menu has something for everyone and offers a wide variety that is full of flavor and a mix of spices! #Supportlocal @ Simply Tasty Thai-Mayport Rd. Hip hip hooray! I found a great Thai place just eleven minutes from my house. I had the vegetarian appetizer platter and the Drunken Noodle with fried tofu, served in a delicious and delicate sauce with smoky noodles and fresh veggies. The tofu was fried to perfection. The service is fast and super friendly. The atmosphere is casual, clean, and beautifully lit with pleasant jazz in the background. I will definitely be back!

How have I not eaten here before! I haven't left the restaurant yet and I had to write a review. The restaurant itself is medium sized with about 18 tables of 4-6. We were quickly seated and our waiter was fast with getting our drinks and appetizers. The food came out quickly and hot. We ordered Thai sampler 1, pad Thai and pancit. Everything was seasoned perfectly, cooked perfectly and delicious. Everything on the menu is affordable and the portions are large. I will 100% be back.

Another fabulous dining experience at Simply Tasty Thai. They have been our go to Thai restaurant for many years. Great food! Great Service. Cannot be beat. I'm working my way through the menu and try to have something different each time we come. Never disappointed and will continue to come back many times.

So far for me, yet so worth the drive. One of the best Thai spots in Jacksonville. I absolutely love the curry flight.

This place is understated for sure. I drove 40 minutes to meet a few friends here, who had been here before. It's in a strip mall so it's nothing glamorous on the outside. I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The owner is also an artist and painted many of the wall hangings. Very nicely done! The food on the other hand, the food was absolutely phenomenal and worth the drive. I've been to Thai places that I cannot have their curry because they add cow milk into their "premade" sauce. This place said all of their curries were done with coconut milk, which I believe is the traditional way :). I had the pumpkin curry, pineapple curry, and Massaman curry. All of them tasted great, but the Massaman was my favorite at the restaurant and as leftovers. I would without a doubt drive back up to eat here again. Yum!!

Stopped in for some appetizers before a show I'm the same strip mall. Very busy but we got a booth. Service was OK but our server forgot a few items and so we had intermittent wait times. It also was pretty loud with a couple of large groups so hard to converse. But our apps were good and dishes others had looked great. You can match the pics with the apps page of the menu

This is by far the best Thai food I've had in Jacksonville! I had been wanting to try it for a while and finally made it out there last month since it's in Mayport. The flavors were all very authentic. Our server was great and had good suggestions for us. It's a cute restaurant, we went for an early dinner around 5:30 and it was still rather crowded which speaks to their taste because truly the best Thai food I've had in Jax. We got the appetizer platter which was a great way to try the many different unique and classic Thai appetizers. The mango sticky rice was my favorite!

Quay was our personal server and I think he was our bartender too- although there was another person back and forth behind the bar. We added a little chaos to the mix with a handful of family who showed without rsvp-ing. Add in toddlers plus easily 15 people.... Yeah- mad respect for Quay!!! I admit to being sad that I couldn't get my broiled platter- that is my favorite Fish Camp dish, and apparently not available for lunch. I pivoted and got the steam pot for 2. For myself. And guess what- I ate all the crab, hmmm so happy! Laugh- it was hilarious, I was still cracking crab while everyone sung happy birthday! I was thrilled. I brought home most of the potatoes, corn and such- it even had mushrooms and broccoli! YUM! My old fashioned was also perfection in a glass. John had the shrimp and fish basket and loved every bite. Several raved about the shrimp and grits. Caron loved her mahi mahi. Connor got the Spicy Wild Caught Shrimp Linguine with White Wine, Garlic, Tomato, Pecorino and inhaled it! Even the kiddos were super happy with the kids chicken strips, although the kitchen delivered the first plate to the wrong toddler and the lovely parents didn't question how they got food without ordering and that little girl dug right in. Opposite end of the table- this grandma spoke up and we split the food so all the littles were fed. Considering our chaotic group, it went very well. I didn't hear a single complaint from our party. Hopefully we didn't drive the staff too crazy!

I used to absolutely love this place. It was our go-to for seafood, celebrations, family dinners,…read moreand special occasions for years. We recommended it constantly and genuinely enjoyed supporting them. Unfortunately, after our last few experiences, that loyalty is completely gone. The problems really started during a dinner visit with my spouse. We had a reservation for two and specifically requested a booth because my spouse has herniated discs and booths are much easier on her back. The hostess with glasses told us there were "no booths available for parties of two," so we were seated at a tiny two-top directly in front of an empty booth. Minutes later, another couple - who apparently didn't even have the correct downstairs reservation because Wheel House was closed for a private event - was seated in that exact booth instead. When I politely questioned it, I was told they were "accommodating them." Interesting, because apparently accommodating a medical issue for customers with a reservation didn't matter. Still, we decided to give the restaurant another chance for Mother's Day. To their credit, we were seated at a booth this time after I both noted it in the reservation and called ahead to confirm it. Our waiter was someone we immediately recognized from a previous visit, and my parents mentioned he had waited on us before at that same table. Somehow, from that comment alone, he became convinced we were related to Chef Tim Tillus. From there, things got bizarre. He kept talking about "Timmy," mentioning reunions and saying he used to live with him. The restaurant was extremely loud, and my father had forgotten his hearing aids that day, so honestly we could barely understand what he was talking about. We just smiled politely and focused on asking about the menu because we truly had no clue where the conversation was going. Eventually, he came back and realized we were NOT Chef Tim Tillus' family. He then explained that the kitchen staff had apparently been laughing because the chef saw us and said, "That's not my family." So somehow this became a whole ordeal in the kitchen over a completely innocent misunderstanding. We laughed awkwardly because what else do you do at that point? But honestly, the whole interaction felt strange and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food was even worse than the awkward service. My spouse ordered the all-day seafood soup, and somehow there was basically ZERO seafood in it. That alone was shocking because their soups used to be incredible. My father ordered the broiled platter, and the portion size was honestly embarrassing for a $29 dish. His parsley potatoes consisted of literally five tiny cubes - my mother counted them because we were in disbelief. We have eaten here for years and NEVER saw portions this small. I ordered the fish special, and it was nothing like described. It was supposed to have pecans and blackening seasoning. There were no pecans, no blackening seasoning, and the fish itself was dry, bland, overcooked, and flavorless. For $32, I was served what looked like a tiny sad pile of fish in the middle of a giant empty plate. The pork chop looked beautiful but tasted absolutely awful. At this point I honestly don't know if the kitchen quality has completely collapsed or if nobody is checking food before it leaves the line anymore. Either way, it was terrible. My mother ordered scallops on the half shell as her meal - something she has enjoyed there many times before. This time, the scallops were tiny and somehow greasy. It was shocking these dishes were even leaving the kitchen. What makes this so disappointing is that we truly loved this restaurant. We weren't casual customers. We supported this place for years because we believed the food and experience were worth it. This wasn't just a mediocre meal or an "off night." This was a genuinely terrible dining experience from start to finish, made worse by the fact that it happened on Mother's Day. The service felt awkward and disorganized, the portions were insulting, the food quality was awful, and there seemed to be zero quality control happening anywhere. At this point, our money will be supporting other establishments instead. It's honestly sad because this place USED to be special. I sincerely hope management fixes the kitchen, consistency, and overall professionalism before even more longtime customers walk away.

If you're visiting the area and love seafood, put this place on your list immediately! We were on the hunt for stone crab claws, a true Florida staple (we first tried it in Chicago and was told it was shipped from Florida!) The Fish Company delivered! Everything looked fresh from the moment we walked in, and you can tell seafood is what they do best. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up coming back again on our last day before heading home. The stone crab claws were absolutely delicious, along with the oysters and shrimp. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. My biggest recommendation is to call ahead if you're looking for stone crab claws, because they do sell out! One thing I really appreciated was being able to see all the fresh seafood on display. You can sit right at the bar area and watch them prep at the display case! For my military friends, it's also conveniently located right down the road from base, making it an easy stop when you're craving fresh seafood. Great food, fresh, friendly service, and a place we'll absolutely return to the next time we're in Florida. We only wish we had discovered it earlier in our trip!

I ordered the grilled salmon, & it was easily some of the freshest fish I've had lately. It was cooked to perfection, not dry at all, & the seasoning was spot on. The real star, though, was the key lime butter! It provided such a perfect, bright balance to the savory fish. For sides, I went with the spinach salad and a baked potato. The miso dressing on the salad is seriously addicting - super creamy & flavorful. The potato came fully loaded with all the accoutrements on the side (pro-tip: the bacon bits are actually crispy!). The restaurant is impressively clean & spacious, with a great energy. Understandingly busy for a Friday, but I will absolutely be returning soon. I especially loved the look of the bar area and the oyster bar counter, I'll definitely be looking to snag a spot there next time!
