This was a bit different than what I am used to. The chicken had a consistency more like tofu for some reason. I got the general Tso's chicken and beef lo mein. The beef was a bit bland too. Pricing was fair I would say. Not bad, but just not for me.

Store is kept neat and clean overall.

It was good to find a nice Chinese restaurant in the area that I didn't have to drive 20 miles to get to for a change. China Garden is next to a reduced Walmart store, which makes it a convenient stop when you're in the area. The restaurant is nice in appearance but there is not a lot of seating inside because it's rather small. It appears most orders are call-ins and takeout. I was takeout on my two visits but did call the order in first on my second visit. It's sort of a tale of two visits here. The shop has a large menu and can keep you looking for something special off it. During the first visit, we got the chicken-shrimp meal, along with curry chicken and onions. Both were very good and I looked forward to the next visit! Well, issues arose with the food from the second visit. The bourbon chicken seemed over-cooked and not fresh - too chewy. I guess more like leftovers from the day before. I also found a hair in my chicken with cashews meal. These are the reasons why what could have originally been a four-star rated restaurant for me came down to three star. On the good side of things, service is very good here - courteous and respectful. I enjoyed my visits. Just hope some of the food issues are reduced in the days ahead. Recommend: MED

The egg drop soup and Mongolian beef are both so good! I always come to this spot whenever I want Chinese food. It is always ready within 10-15 minutes and very well priced. I've gotten other chicken/beef/veggie dishes and they've all been good. Highly recommend!

Fair warning if you order CHOW MEIN this is what you will get.... super disappointed. I have no idea what it even is and it's gooey

I ordered a fried rice and wings combo. The wings are legit whole wings, and there's quite a few of them. The breading is consistent and delightfully crispy. It's a simple but addictive dry seasoning. The meat is surprisingly tender. The fried rice was also better than I expected. This joint is better than most others like it. If I lived closer, I'd probably hit it occasionally. It makes me wish they'd done something to stand out more.

Extensive menu and excellent preparation. Food always available in 10 to 15 minutes. Human beef is a must try, along with Singapore Mai Fon.

Horrible food. I ordered a chicken dish and I thought I was eating shrimp....but it wasn't. This was worrying. Will never return.

We split the Braised Pork Belly Bao to start, which was great. After that, we worked from the lunch specials. She did the Hot Box with chicken and I did the Sushi Box. We liked both and the only afterthought was that she would've asked for shrimp instead of chicken next time. My only note was that the Spicy Tuna roll included with my box was VERY spicy. That may sound like an odd thing to say but many places don't mean "spicy" when they say it about their rolls. O-ku means spicy when they say it, so just know that. Particular favs include the crispy rice, lobster temaki, and Oceanside, Fuego, and blazing saddles rolls, to name a few. The drinks are also amazing here! This place is the first I've seen with the option to put Parmesan cheese on your espresso martini -apparently it's a thing?!- glad I tried it though I do prefer my espresso martinis parm free...but how fun!! The Shogun and plum martini are great options...I think I've enjoyed every drink I've tried at O-ku actually, so you can't go wrong!Their drink menu is quite fun and inventive! Sake flights are a great option too! Overall: lovely ambience, the service is friendly, professional, and timely every time we go and the food is always amazing! Can't say enough good things! I was a little incredulous that a former Sailor could run an Asian restaurant with such awesome ramen! Well, now I believe everything I heard. As a former sailor, upon entry I immediately fell in love with the Navy decor, pictures, and even the tables in the dining area had the seals of ships and other commands past and present on the table top art that gave a tremendous nostalgic feel to an old sea warrior like me! OK, I was a Chaps - I gave spiritual support to those warriors. Nevertheless, the ramen bowls here are a work of artistic beauty! I felt like I needed to stare at my meal for an hour before daring to touch it! On this day, we had the Bayou Ramen and the Traditional Ramen. The Bayou Ramen has a real Cajun spicing to it - unmistakable in every way. It has some heat to it, but not heavy - I'd say it was just about right for my taste. The shrimp and sausage in it were perfectly prepped - I could have taken some home but didn't - just couldn't stop eating this! It also included carrots, corn, a seasoned egg, scallions, ramen noodles in chicken bayou broth. If you like ramen of a Cajun variety, you'll love this! The traditional ramen bowl was pretty basic. You could have a choice of broth, but the basic version has little to no heat factor. It comes with roast pork, bok choy, carrots, corn, seasoned eggs, scallions, ramen noodles. I had the leftovers of this ramen bowl the next day and it was outstanding too! In addition, when you come here, you MUST get the fried chicken! It's among the best I've ever tasted. It's definitely bested KFC in my book! Anyone who wants to try a solid ramen restaurant which classic offerings and some creative versions of ramen, must visit Hangar Bay! I will add that the service we received as terrific! For a little while, I felt like I was eating on the mess deck again! I'll surely be back! Recommend: VERY HIGH!

Without exaggeration, this was a life-changing ramen. The best ramen that I've had in my life!! The torched egg was genius and added a beautiful texture to the rich, and flavorful broth.
