We ordered: Tom Yum Chicken Soup Chicken Pad Thai Kid's Chicken Stir-Fried Noodles Kid's Fried Chicken Strip & French Fries I was feeling under the weather and a good soup always helps me feel better. I'm this case, the Tom Yum soup didn't help at all. It was extremely salty and sour. To be honest, it was the worst soup I have ever had. I couldn't go past 2 tablespoons. Chicken Pad Thai was meh. I have had some amazing Thai food in Tampa, so I know what pad Thai is supposed to taste like. This one was bland and had some weird flavor to it. Same goes for chicken stir-fried noodles. The fried chicken strips were, let's just say, fried chicken strips. Overall, I am extremely disappointed in this restaurant. Soup will be fed to the garbage can. This place has to be one of the few Asian restaurant that offer halal and also so friendly. The two ladies were patience and answered all our questions about the different dishes they had. We order the shrimp fried rice level 4 which was the perfect level of spice for me. We order drunken noodle and beef fried rice in level 3. It wasn't spicy at all. We order red curry. It's was ok. We didn't like it. We also order orange chicken which was good. The thing is many of these Thai place in TX don't put the fish oil. That's what makes the food so good. The ladies said due to so many people being vegetarian , they just don't put it. Hope to find a place in TX that does. But overall , will definitely come back and price is so reasonable. read more

I am glad this location is open since it is near my work. It took me a bit until I realized it was associated with the downtown Frisco location. This location is located in a strip mall next to a Starbucks and is much nicer and more modern than the original location. I had wanted to order online but there is an extra fee to do that so I called in my order instead. It was ready once I arrived and I was in and out in a few minutes since there was no line. If you dine there, which I have before as well, the food comes pretty quick and you get a soup while you are waiting. My usual order is the pad see ew and it is delicious and pretty spicy if you want it to be (scale of 1 to 5). I usually get a 4 which makes me tingle a bit (I have a strong tolerance too). The staff is friendly and it is a casual place with a tip jar, no waiter service. They have a loyalty program as well which I am not a part of, but if you dine here often, it would probably make sense to join. read more

We have been fans of Simply Thai for 6 years and the legacy location has consistently disappointed us. It is more convenient, however, so we placed a to go order tonight . The beef in one dish was completely chewy, tasted a little rancid, and inedible. The chicken in the other was completely inedible. I've had both dishes before, so I know that's now how its typically made. The chicken had a few regular pieces and the rest was strange. I called them to let them know and politely told them I was a long time customer and requested a refund as we could not eat our food. The food I can forgive - no place is perfect all the time. The customer service however was atrocious. 3 people talked to me and I finally asked to talk to the manager . They demanded I bring the food in. I told them I had pictures but the food was in the trash. By the way, we have two toddlers and it's hard to enough to get there once! However, to demand us to be more inconvenienced to bring food back seemed incredibly rude. For $18 you could have kept a customer - they provided US with horrible meals, after all. Please ruin my dinner and then make me spend an hour bringing it back to you...seriously?? Then, as I was explaining that I had pictures to send to them, the manager hung up on me. I was not being rude, just frustrated! We will not be dining at this restaurant again. Not sure if pictures do this justice but the chicken looked like already chewed up chicken and the beef was not edible. This is the new location. It is right next to starbucks. It used to be Teriyaki Madness. I have never been to their other location. I went at lunch time, it was not busy, and the food came out quickly. I had chicken pad thai. It was very good. I also had the crab avocado spring roll. It was very good, and the dipping sauces were good. My husband had the Simply Thai Noodle Soup with tofu. He said it was good, but sweet. He wanted pho, but they don't have it. They have good prices. We were there once about 5-6 years ago and they happen to have watermelon that day (not in the menu). So my kids would always ask for watermelon (for the last 5 years). I absolutely love Simply Thai Bistro. I stumbled across it on the way home from an unusually late shift. Normally I would skip dinner and not eat after 8pm but damn allergies have brought on congestion. I was honestly wanting Ramen to clear me up but I love some Tom Kha soup as a lighter option. I ordered a small with tofu at a 4 spicy. The flavor was amazing and tofu cooked perfectly. It could of been a bit spicer for my liking so I got another the next day. I saw there was one off Legacy and Lebanon so I got a 5 spicy there. It didn't seem any spicer but again I'm congested and might not be able to tell the difference.
