Nice little place in downtown
Tim A.

Parking is down the street a bit unless you get lucky enough to get one of the 3 spots out front on the busy road. I was seated right away and after was poured. I like a little heart in my Thai food but I also like to taste it. The server said the 1-5 levels start a bit spicy. I typically order 3 so she suggested 2.i had the pork green curry level 2 and it was perfect for me. It took about 5 minutes to get to my table and I had to let it cool before I could eat it. There was not a lot of pork and could not taste the coconut milk at all. So the curry was kind of bland. It was okay, just bland. The restrooms are small and awkward but like the rest of the place it was clean. I wouldn't work as hard as I did to find parking to come here again. My favorite Thai food is curry but I would have a noodle dish if I ever came back.

Service was great, can't complain there. Food was decent. Pad see ew was flavorful! Fried rice had good taste except meat tasted old. Like it was old meat and they still cooked it. Veg rolls were not good, and you only get 3 small pc. They were only fluffy under the crispy layer. Little to no veggie inside. VERY small portions for the price, would not recommend. Not worth the price. Restaurant appeared clean. 2 separate restrooms Male and Female. Plenty of staff.

Simply Thai is my number one favorite place in Oneonta! The service has always been exceptional a family connection I adore every one who is apart of the simply thai family, the food is flawless in my opinion we always order too much because we can't decide what to order because we love it all. From the tom yum soup to the eggplant long song and the crispy basil duck. Nothing bad in my opinion definitely worth the visit!

I was able to visit simply Thai for the first time in a few years and the food is just as good as I remember. I have been to so many Thai restaurants looking for the flavor they have here. My favorite item are the chicken dumplings.

Tired of burgers and fries? This is your spot! Loved the dishes we tried. My favorite was the seafood combo pad Thai. All dishes are the perfect size for sharing family style. The service is friendly and attentive. We went right at 4:30 and were the first ones in. Did not make reservations but I would recommend if you have a large party. Would definitely be back.

YUMMY!!! Great spot in upstate NY. Beautifully decorated with photos of Thailand. The food was wonderful and delicious. The staff was friendly and very attentive. All the dishes were tasty and distinct. They will make to your spicy level, which is nice. There were lots of take out orders but they were very prompt and timely with our dishes. We shared family style and the waitress said it reminded her of home. Since we shared dishes, the waitress asked if she could bring them out as they became ready. Which lead to a stream of dishes being presented pipping hot from the kitchen. Off menu was the special dessert that day..Thai tea crème brûlée...two thumbs up for sure! Great place for families. On street parking or parking lot wasn't difficult. Definitely recommend and will come again when in the upstate area.

Spicy Thai chicken salad

Visiting Oneonta during baseball season and found this place. We were help fairly quickly by host and lead the way to our table. Place has a more upscale vibe to it so I appreciate the extra effort. We ordered 2 appetizers that came out super fast! Which made me think how fresh is this food?! But it was great! Veggies rolls could use more vegetables lol but over all good. We also ordered Calamari which very tender and not over fried. It was as great! I decided to go with a spicy chicken salad. 10 for efforts because of their presentation!! It was good but nothing to go crazy over. The "spicy" dressing wasn't spicy at all. Not sure if you can ask for the spicy level but I wasn't ask. But the peanut spicy dressing was ok. I would recommend this place just be mindful to ask just a little more before ordering.

Pork Pad Thai

I ordered the Pork Pad Thai, and it was super tasty. I enjoyed the blend of flavors. Out Server was quick with service and was super sweet. The Ambiance was also pretty great with dimmed lights and music in the background. It wasn't to quiet, but at the same time it wasn't super loud it was at a perfect volume to still converse.

Chicken salad with homemade peanut sauce! So good

Very good Thai place on Main Street! The food is actually spicy. I tend to like the noodle dishes over the curries.

As an alumni returning for a weekend visit, I was initially disheartened to discover that my beloved local Thai house, Lemongrass, had closed its doors. However, fate had a delicious surprise in store for me and my friends as we stumbled upon Bangkok Cafe, only to realize it was under the same management as Lemongrass! From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in the comforting aroma of authentic Thai spices and the welcoming ambiance of familiar faces. Each dish we ordered transported me back to my school days, with every bite reminiscent of the culinary magic I had come to cherish at Lemongrass. While every dish we sampled was incredible, the Pad See Ew stole the show! I love Thai food and have been to many amazing restaurants but this pad see ew will always be #1. The noodles are perfect in every aspect - size, shape, and texture. What truly sets Bangkok Cafe apart is not just the outstanding food, but also the affordability without compromising on quality. In a world where good food often comes with a hefty price tag, Bangkok Cafe remains a beacon of accessible excellence. The service is also always top notch. Everyone is so friendly and the food comes out quick! Needless to say, Bangkok Cafe has effortlessly claimed the title of my favorite Thai restaurant, a position it will undoubtedly hold for many years to come.
