I can't express how disappointed I am in this doctor's office since their move across the street. I…read moreunderstand that prices increase over time, but at this point it honestly feels like price gouging. I've purchased the exact same frames from this office for the past three times, every other year. The last two years, the front desk staff mis-ordered my frames. Both times, I had to make an extra trip just to discover the mistake. Instead of taking responsibility, they acted like it was somehow my fault -- even though it's the same frames I order every time. Come on. Let's talk about pricing. In 2023, my total was: Frames: $210 Lenses: $60 Exam: $60 Total: $330 Fast forward to December 2025: Frames: $330 (same frames) Lenses: $100 Exam: $99 That's a massive jump in just two years. When I went to pick up my glasses (after waiting for them to come in), I questioned the pricing because I genuinely thought it might be a mistake. I was then told that since I "upgraded" after the first mis-order, I actually owe them more money. What?? The front desk told me the suggested retail was $264 and that they mark that up -- somehow that becomes over $330. Meanwhile, the suggested retail on the original frames is $227, which means they're marking them up over 45%. Just wow. I chose to leave without causing a scene, but the combination of repeated ordering errors, dismissive customer service, and dramatic price increases is unacceptable. Patients deserve accountability, transparency, and fair pricing. Unfortunately, I experienced none of that here. I will be taking my business elsewhere

I've been to several different doctors all over the state of Florida, and Dr Henri was the first to listen and actually check out one of my ongoing concerns I've had for years that others had ignored or minimized (to the point where I started to minimize my own symptoms and told myself I must be over-reacting). Luckily I'm now on my way to resolving it thanks to VIP! The staff and opticians are also fantastic! They were friendly and knowledgeable, and are transparent on the cost of the exam and glasses. Jodi was amazing - she sat with me and showed me plenty of options, broke down what my costs were going to be before moving forward, and did it with a smile. Financials can be hard to talk about, especially when some other places try to keep it under wraps. But not here - they made the conversation feel natural, expected, and made me so comfortable. And as for the glasses and contacts - they have brands and technologies I've never even heard of! They have a contact line that's better for those with astigmatism at a fair price (not much more than my usual) that they are ordering a trial sample for. And I just learned about these glasses with magnetic attachments for shades, blue light blocking, and even night driving! I typically wouldn't describe most doctor appointments as "fun" but I actually had a great time and would say the process was fun! I felt confident that the health of my eyes were in good hands. And confident that I'll be happy with my glasses purchase. All in all, a great experience, I doubt I'll ever procrastinate my eye exam ever again!

*TL-DR* - If you value competent eye care, clear communication, and receiving what you actually…read morepaid for, look elsewhere. This office used to be excellent. I brought my entire family here for years and left glowing reviews--until the original doctor left. What remains is an operation defined by disorganization, poor service, and zero accountability. The exam itself was mediocre but acceptable. Everything after that was not. I did learn that I now have slightly less than perfect vision but was told I dont really need distance lenses. Good to know. I waited roughly 30 minutes post-exam without acknowledgment, then spent over an hour trying to order glasses while staff repeatedly abandoned me to fix another employees' mistakes. In total, I was in the office more than 2.5 hours. I clearly and repeatedly ordered Costa sunglasses with only a reading prescription in the bottom--no distance correction whatsoever. This was confirmed verbally. I paid ~$500 out of pocket and was told they'd be ready January 8. January 15th comes-No call. No update. The patient portal showed a cancelled order and a replacement order--with no explanation. My calls and voicemails went unanswered. When I finally reached two weeks later, I was met with excuses ("We had Wi-Fi issues so we couldn't check our voicemail"). I was told my glasses had been there over a week and they had tried to call me--I asked what number they called, they gave me my wife's number, despite that being corrected multiple times. I had my wife check her phone and voicemail--they never actually contacted either of us. When I finally picked up the glasses--over a month after the appointment--they were made incorrectly, with a distance prescription I explicitly declined. At that point, I requested a refund. I was told they couldn't do that and a manager would call me... and once again, they confirmed the wrong phone number. Absolutely helpless. So far.. No call. No refund. I fear I am going to have to down there every day until I the "manager" is working when I get there. This is not a one-off mistake; it's a pattern of negligence, poor training, and indifference to patients' time and money. If you care about your eyes--or basic professionalism--take your business elsewhere.

Citrus Park EyeCare is no different than any other small EyeCare business. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's certainly not a great thing. Sometimes it's best to go with what you know. My experience was just lukewarm. I did not go for an eye exam, for all I know they may have an outstanding staff of Doctors, I cannot speak for that. My only objective was to purchase a new pair of glasses maybe even two. I was able to find two solid options that matched my criteria. Prices are comparable to other EyeCare places, the buy one get one at 40% off is not a bad deal. Though I was able to find my glasses I still wish they had more of an inventory. My prescription has been the same for some years now. I wanted a pair with tint and one regular. Ended with only the regular pair due in large to poor salesmanship from the office staff. As I'm about to pay for my glasses, I'm getting questioned on my current RX by the lady in the front desk. Not to nitpick but I just wasn't diggin the tone nor the body language. From past experiences I see EyeCare centers tend to do this often (question your RX) to add on to your bill... I get it, but that doesn't excuse the subtle attitude, there is a right way and a wrong way to do things. I found it unprofessional. My RX is not only minor but it's good for another two years, that's all there is to it. No need to sweat me over something insignificant. Anyway.. My glasses came back from the lab in less than a week. Only problem was they arrived w/o the anti-glare that I paid for. Teri was kind enough to call and explain the error and said they'd be ready in four business days. Long story short, they were still not ready in the end. I was forced to call and get out of character on the phone. Mistakes happen, but the bottom line is they were supposed to have my glasses ready on time. Having to travel that weekend, meant I'd have to wait another week to get my glasses. That was a problem. Despite Teri being in the center of this mishap. She went out of her way to pick up the glasses to ensure my satisfaction, that's great Customer Service. Not to bash anybody, but she outperformed everyone IMO. Final thoughts... I am happy with my glasses. In the end that's most important to me. Still, CPE appears to be for a different type of crowd. The location is good, plenty of parking. Hours of operation not so great. Closed by 5pm most weekdays and closed on weekends. 2.5 stars for CPE, 5 stars for Teri.
