We were asked for our drink order prior to receiving the menus which was nice because it was a very hot day out. Our waitress was very nice and laughed at my corny jokes. I ordered a patty melt add grilled mushrooms and my wife ordered a grilled chicken ceasers wrap. Food was great! The fries were crispy, sandwich cooked as I asked, and the pickle they also provide had that nice crunch to it when you bite down on it. The entire meal for the two of us came to around $25. We did have one issue at the end when leaving the tip since they have to push it in at the register. I asked for 4.41 and they accidentally put in .41. I thought I saw it entered incorrectly and asked for a copy of my receipt. When I got to the car I confirmed it and ran back in to give the waitress a cash tip to make up the difference. A group of 5 went to Niki's to celebrate a friend's visit from out of town. 2 had Lasagna, 1 had the liver entree, 1 had the Greek sampler & 1 had the roast beef entree. ALL stated their entrees were "great". Service from Kim was prompt, catered nicely, & beverages cool & refilled when needed. She even lite some nite lites to create a special ambiance. Here we are again, back at our absolutely favorite breakfast restaurant, with our favorite waitress, Niki!!! We had another delicious breakfast, and the owner, Floyd, came by, as he always does, to make sure you're happy with the food and the service, which we were happy to report, yet again, that it was great! We really like the restaurant and the decor and the ambience, a nice, friendly restaurant with amazing staff and a great breakfast chef. We'll be back on our next trip in January. read more

we have been coming to Niki's since moving to Florida 11 years ago. Have eaten breakfast mainly and it's delicious. Nice thick bacon and they know our drinks before we even ask. Coffee is strong and everyone is super friendly. It is family owned and that's what it feels like. Could use some upgrades on decor to brighten it up but definitely has that diner feel. Today, not good. Ordered Eggs Benedict and the whites were undercooked and 'snotty'. Gross. Had to send back only to get another one which was just as undercooked. Could not eat it. Hash browns were undercooked. My child ordered pancakes with blueberries - blueberries were so bad - clearly frozen. Just ate around them, but bad experience today. Eggs Benedict should have been removed from bill but was not - we paid bill and left - will probably not eat here again. Too bad. read more

This place needs Gordon Ramsey. I ordered the Greek salad with grilled chicken on top. All the other diners in the area make this dish perfectly. Here, it was shockingly bad. The lettuce was 100% iceberg and not particularly fresh. The feta had no bite. But the chicken was by far the biggest disappointment. It was cold, overcooked and completely unseasoned. Greek restaurants are known for seasoning chicken with a blend of spices that explodes with flavor. This chicken had no flavor. It was generic grilled chicken on top of debatably Greek ingredients. As a Greek and a fan of good food, I was disappointed in this meal. With many other good options in the area, I will not be coming back. read more

Cute inside, very busy. Down to earth. The menu had no options for Gluten Free. Waitress seemed very rushed. My only option was to order eggs. Ordered over medium , slightly runny and had to send them back three times, the cook/ Owner got upset and refused to cook them. They we're grossly undercooked! Waitress had a bad attitude! This place has been sliding down hill for a long time. Terrible service, awful food, and it's so dated. I feel like im eating in an restaurant back in 1982. I even hear they started charging a 3% fee to use your credit card. So I get charged a percentage from my bank to use the credit card and then I get charged a separate fee from the business when I use that same credit card. No thanks!!!!!! When businesses stop taking credit cards or start charging customers fees to accept them usually is the first obvious signs of impending doom. They should just raise prices. read more

Amazing breakfast!! Our awesome server, Nikki was as always excellent! Been going here for over 20 years and never had a bad meal!! I had "Breakfast #1" it was so good, OJ and bottomless coffee included!!! Never had to ask for more coffee, instant refill and hot!!! My eggs were perfect just the way I like them! Always depended on Nikis for a good home style breakfast. Decided tonight to try them for the Friday night Prime Rib Special. Honestly, it wasn't so special. Baked potato had been cooked hours before, Rib had a lot of fat and gristle, but was edible. 20 dollars for a King 14 oz cut, in my opinion was overpriced. I thought a special meant it was a lower price. Wife had Parm which she said was tasty. Gave us canned green beans and a salad that was at least fresh. First time having breakfast here and is was delicious. I had a 4 egg white veggie omelette it was fluffy and loaded with veggies. Everyone I was with had different omelettes and they all loved it. It's the best place to go if you want a simple brunch or a classic homestyle dinner with mashed potatoes just like your mother always made. The staff is very friendly and if you sit at the bar, you are bound to run into many of the locals that frequent this restaurant daily. We have lived in the area for a while but never visited Niki's before today. We heard that they had good food, especially breakfast. Unfortunately we got there a little late and we're not able to get breakfast. The restaurant very welcoming and you know right away that this is a family owned restaurant. We asked our server, Lindsey what she recommended for lunch. After giving us a very detailed list of the lunch items, I decided on the Reuben, my wife had the Greek salad with grilled chicken, and my daughter had a chicken Caesar wrap. The food came out timely and was nice and hot. The corned beef was tender and plentiful. The side of cole slaw was great with a touch of sour cream. The Greek salad was very big, lots of salad veggies and the grilled chicken had a great taste due to the Greek seasoning. The Chicken Caesar wrap was big and flavorful and the fries were crisp and also had a great flavor. Our server kept coming over to see how we liked everything since we told her that this was our first time there. Something else that impressed us was that the owner was walking around the restaurant visiting with all of the patrons and asking them how the food was and thanking everyone for coming in. This is not Nikki's Rainbow Room on the mainland as we thought when we stopped. Not affiliated at all. However the staff was friendly and greated the regulars by name. My gyro was a little light on the meat but tasted good. My wife had what I would call greek lasagna sorry I can't remember the name. She said it was great. Only dig would be no hummus. And they tout Greek on their signage. Seems like you must serve hummus if you serve Greek. read more

Worst breakfast ever. Waitress was moody and very bland. Table was wobbly and no one could fix it. In result with the wobbly table drinks were spilling everywhere. Food was absolutely horrible. Eating the chocolate chip pancakes i ordered was like eating rubber. I also got bacon and it hurt my teeth and made the top of my mouth bleed. Eggs Benedict was greasy and had no Hollandaise sauce. Food here is good, but the staff do not make the atmosphere very pleasant. I came in to pick up a delivery one day and while waiting I observed a group of 12 women having a birthday lunch for one of their friends. They bought their own cake and asked for plates and forks. The owner for some reason made a big deal about this and decided the best course of action was to charge this group of women a dollar a plate. C'mon man - these people are having a good time and ordering a big meal at your restaurant and you are going to make a big deal about giving them plates for a birthday cake and then charge them. Can you be any cheaper? I am sure the 12 local women and their families will not be visiting again. Get it together - food is good but focus on customer service. read more

This week, we made our way back to one of our 'standard' diners for our weekly breakfast: Niki's Family Restaurant in Suntree. I have never eaten any meals other than breakfast at Niki's, so I'll stick with that. The service is perhaps some of the best in the area. The staff is attentive and pleasant. We have rarely ever had much of a wait time for anything. And to that, I'll add that we get our orders much faster than at just about any other establishment in the area. I barely had my iPad out before the order arrived. As always, one of my criteria for quality is crispiness of the bacon. I can always count on the bacon at Niki's to be crisp. Not limp and/or undercooked like that served at lesser diners. One of the cons of the food though, is that I find it just a tad bit salty. For me, that's not necessarily a bad thing (I have a horrible, horrible addiction to the fine white powders: salt and sugar). But this is very minor and it isn't always that way. Today, I tried the western omelette with a side of country gravy. The omelette seemed a bit small for a three egg dish, but it was very, very good. The hash browns were cooked to perfection and the gravy was creamy and just right. Prices are very reasonable. Judging by the reviews of others, I will certainly give Niki's a try for lunch or dinner. As for breakfast, you can't lose. read more
