Small Rose Spicy Rice Cakes (~$5)
    Aya E.

Ordered: Combo A (~$20): 5pc drums & 10pc wings (half soy garlic & half Korean spicy) with French fries Pickled Radish (~$3) Small Rose Spicy Rice Cakes (~$5) Aya's take: When it comes to value, Sing Sing is on point! Where else can you get something like Combo A that has 15pc of chicken & French fries for ~$20. The chicken wasn't super crispy and they were a bit light-handed with the flavors. The sauces were barely on every piece of chicken; especially the soy garlic so the flavor was almost nonexistent. The pieces that did have soy garlic were actually delicious but it just wasn't consistent. The Pickled Radish side wasn't worth it. Although they give you a big bowl of it, these just don't have the same flavor or texture as the ones you typically get at Korean fried chicken spots. I will say I was super impressed with the Rose Spicy Rice Cakes. It had the right balance of spiciness and creaminess, the rice cakes were skinnier than the typical ones making the the sauce soak up more easily, and my favorite part - there were actually sheets of fish tofu inside! All in all, it was filling but not satisfying.

I've lost count of how many times this spot has changed its chicken-related names; this time being a Korean Chicken Karaoke bar with your sing-along crowd, flowing beer and bar/pub-like scene. I came here to try out their hot wings and was not disappointed with the service and bite-sized chunks bbq wings which were large by any standards. All in all, a good experience. I will be back

I had the worst experience as a paying patron and my attorneys already are involved. I was discriminated by management.

They didn't let our guests to get in unless we arrived first, and they kept sending food to our room that we never ordered. At the end of the night, we found out they charge us extra bottle of vodka, and beers. When we asked for the manager, he hides and never showed up. So, if you want to try this place is ok, but make sure you double check the bill.

Loved the private bathroom and attentive service. We were up front so service calls and order deliveries were damn near instantaneous. They also served up a birthday cake in a nice wheeled in display. Much appreciated. Finger foods were excellent and served plenty hot this time around. And the value feels much better when you actually fill the room. The only complaint is the weird booking policy that basically forces you into a package from 10pm that also limits your ability to book 9-10pm as well. Still, if you have people that will stay out late then the packages are decent. Song selections are good but still finicky. Sound is fairly customizable so no complaints there either. Will definitely keep this place in mind for larger groups that can take advantage of the package bookings.

We headed to Shout Karaoke in Astoria, and anyone who knows me knows I have always had a soft spot for karaoke. For many years it was a regular part of my life, and these days I keep it going through the Smule karaoke app. This past Saturday reminded me just how much fun it is to do with a group of friends. We had a great time, plenty of laughs, and a really enjoyable night overall. Shout Karaoke is located on Steinway Street and is easy to get to on the R line. The commute was quick and straightforward. Up front there is a bar area where you can sing and socialize, which is pretty standard for karaoke spots. They also offer smaller and larger private rooms with a set rate per person per hour. For the room we booked, the rate before 8pm was $5 per person per hour with a minimum of 15 people, and after 8pm it increases to $9 per person per hour. The pricing feels very reasonable for what you get. I did not drink alcohol so I cannot speak to liquor prices, but ginger ale ran about $3 each, which is fair for a bar setting. The music selection is well organized with both book and tablet options for browsing, and the catalog is extensive in both English and Spanish. The space was clean, comfortable, and the staff was genuinely friendly throughout the night. I will absolutely be back to Shout Karaoke. It is a great find in the Queens area and well worth checking out.

We saw their happy hour sign outside and decided to give it a try. Mia, who was our bartender, was the sweetest from start to finish. She checked on us constantly, refilled our drinks as soon as we were out and just made the whole experience just absolutely amazing. The happy hour drinks were pretty good. I wouldn't get their margarita since it was a little sweet for my liking but their whisky and coke hit the spot. Their wings were sooooooo good. It was a $1 a wing so we ended up ordering like a total of 18 wings, some with barbecue sauce and others plain. The wings were surprisingly very delicious. If you are ever in the neighborhood, come in for drinks and wings.

One of the best things about this bar is definitely the happy hour special from Mondays through Friday they have 8 dollars beer and shot special and your choice of tecate pbr and Bud light with the house shot of your choice. I never had a problem with the service as well their fast their respectful i definitely love the music choice the bartenders play while in the bar but there is also a jukebox if you want to play something specific. The only thing with the jukebox is I don't know what type of music they have in it I also love going their for the food happy hour you get 6 wings for 5 or 6 dollars Monday through Fridays till 8pm. But if you are using cash you do have happy hours prices all night so me specifically I always take out cash cause I definitely appreciate the fact that I get happy hours prices all night. The food is also very good from the tator tots to the nachos it's really good talking about nachos one my favorite meals from dominie's hoek is the chicken nacho the only down side of dominie's is they don't add different drafts to the taps it's always the same ones. Besides the draft part this bar is an amazing affordable bars to hang out drink and enjoy a great happy hour.
