The market located in a strip is easy to access. Parking seemed adequate to pull up directly in front of the business. The lot and walk up clear of debris. The store is not large but it provides a lot within its four walls. A deli and sandwich shop, butcher and prepared meals among the larger areas. They have much more. They are known for a prepared dinner menu, follow them on social media for their line up. It's a quality place so be prepared to pay a premium on items. My first visit I got a Cuban sandwich and the owner made it. He was so friendly as he worked hard on a line back to the butcher shop. The checkout was even more impressive as the woman was a delight and fun to talk to. I ate the sandwich outside at one of their tables and it was authentic and delicious. Another visit was to pick up some odds and ends for the hotel. Of particular note was the tiramisu, just WOW! If your local you already know what a gem. However if your from out of town Oak Grove should be highly considered.

This place is amazing. It is in a strip mall with limited parking. The outside is deceiving. Once…read moreyou come inside, the store looks small with only a few tables for seating (maybe 12 seats) but the stairs leave you down to a huge bar with TVs, games, and plenty of seating. Also, they purchased the business besides them so they have a bar area upstairs as well. This place is huge. I sat at the new section and was pleasantly surprised that it is set up like a sports bar. I ordered a 20oz $5 Abita Beer (well worth it), Double smash burger with fries (highlight of the meal), $2 taste of bread pudding (worth trying), and the Boudin balls (not much flavor but a lot of food).

Not the vibe. Props for having vegetarian red beans and rice on the menu, because that's rare. Unfortunately, whoever was on seasoning duty must have called out that night. Completely bland. Nothing. I can't imagine that's intentional, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not coming back to find out. The crawfish po'boy was okay. Not a memorable experience overall.
