This review is regarding the barber/stylist Christina. It started when I called the shop to schedule an appointment with Denise, a stylist who's work I had seen on Yelp. Christina picked up and insisted I get my hair done by her rather than Denise and was told her work was on Yelp as well, so I decided to make an appointment with Christina at 2pm. So I show up around five minutes early to the appointment, checked in, and was asked if I wanted a beer. I sat down and noticed three women at the front chatting and laughing about high school and other drama while another was cutting someone's hair. 30 minutes past my 2 o'clock appointment, a male barber walks in and that's when I find out CHRISTINA IS THE ONE CUTTING THE PERSONS HAIR IN FRONT OF ME THAT WHOLE TIME. The entire 35 minutes I was sitting there, she nor anyone else in the shop bothered to tell me she took a walk in appointment over my scheduled appointment. I was not informed this was their policy before scheduling. The male barber walks over to Christina and she says "oh that's my two o'clock" and asks him to do my hair. He was extremely nice and offered to cut my hair right then, but this was ridiculously unprofessional. I ended up walking out due to the lack of care, alertness, and professionalism of the rest of the staff. To steal another stylist's appointment and not even follow through with it, is just baffling to me. It's hard to believe this company has employed two receptionists who do not communicate to the stylists or check in on the client who has been waiting for 30 minutes. So thank you to Christina and Single Barrel for allowing me to write my first Yelp review. This is definitely more of a salon setting than a barber shop. If you want to go to a barber shop I recommend going to any other one in Fullerton, this is a salon. Owners I hope you check the cameras to verify this review because this is unacceptable and this happened yesterday Thursday(2/21) at 2pm. read more
