I met Walter my current barber back in early 2020 through a friend. He highly recommended him so I reached out to him and have not gone anywhere else since then. I have a barber that had been cutting my hair for ten years that's 1 mile away from me but as she became the owner of the place, she was sending me to her new hires to cut my hair but they weren't as good. So I needed a hair cut late night and my usual barber was closed. But this place is open until 10pm and had good Yelp reviews so I gave then a try. What sets this place apart from my usual barber is that the barbers here are around my age group (20-30s) and they're knowledgeable about various hair styles, especially for the younger crowd. Additionally you could drink while waiting or getting a cut. My only con is the price is bit high for me. However they gave me a discount as a first time customer, and I was satisfied with the cut. So while I might not come here often, I'll come once in awhile. High and tight: Called on Friday at 3:20p to inquire about a razor fade and who ever answered said it would be $25 and there's no wait at the moment. Arrived at 3:40, in time for the $15 happy hour cuts of 1-4p, but didn't get seated until 4:10 by Marcus. I told him a I want a high and tight with a two on top. I even told him how high I wanted my fair, where the parietal ridge is, HIGH. I proceeded to cut my hair but it felt a little low, but I left it because I thought he was going to turn my chair around to confirm and check progress, nope. Then he started started to outline my hair around my temple, eek, that's when I knew it was a low fade. He handed me the mirror and I pointed out how high i wanted and that the fade wasn't straight and was curving down to the back of my head when i initially told him where I wanted it. He tried to correct it and got the front right side pretty good, but the left side was still too low and the sides and back were low too. What my normal barber does in 25 min took 45 so I was growing impatient and a little upset that this cut wasn't good and was going to cost me DOUBLE and I didn't want to spend more time having my hair fixed because I needed to be somewhere at 5:30. So in the end, I didn't get a razor fade for $25, I got a regular clipper fade for $25, that wasn't straight, was too low, and took a long time. Marcus was nice though and I might give him another shot if I don't find another place. He did also tell me that's his first time doing a fade that high, so if you want a high fade, stay away, but if you have medium-longer hair that can be styled, this place might be good since the two customers ahead of me had longer hair.
