My daughter was so excited to get her ears pierced, but after waiting 3+ hours and still having 4 groups in front of us, we had to leave. Why say you take walk-ins when you clearly can't handle walk-ins? There was zero communication from the two front desk workers. When we arrived they never said "we only have one piercer and there's 9 groups in front of you so please know it may take awhile". Even TGIFridays knows how to do that. We have now made an appointment at a parlor in Woodstock GA that takes appointments so my daughter won't be disappointed like this again. If you want to wait on an uncomfortable wooden bench for 3hrs with no updates throughout, go for it, but i won't be coming back. read more

I found Deano Cook while browsing Instagram years ago. I watched his work for years. I knew I wanted to get some photo realistic tattoos and just waited for the timing. I reached out May 16, 2019 with my baby sea turtle concept. I wanted baby sea turtles hatching and walking toward the sunrise. I received a response and we set my first appointment for Feb 28, 2020. Yes, you will have to be on the waitlist for a while, but the wait is worth it. Deano designed my tattoo through pictures we both chose and he hand-sketched the idea on the selected area (my ribs). The tattoo goes from my hip to my armpit. I went for several all day sessions, which were brutal and during the COVID pandemic. Deano and his staff are highly professional and highly skilled. They took safety measures and protocol for both the clients and the staff. I still have to go back for my final sessions, but that got pushed back due to moving for work. I plan on scheduling the last appointments in the future and eventually I'm looking to start an underwater sleeve. I'm happy with the tattoo and the design the way it is now, so I know it's going to be even better once it's 100% complete. I also bought a 3-stone opal upper cartilage earring and had the piercer put it in for me here. I finally took the plunge this year and decided to get laser tattoo removal. After doing some online research, I saw a lot of recommendations for Melissa at Sink or Swim Studio. I wasn't certain what to expect, but I immediately scheduled a consultation with Melissa for the next day. During the consultation, Melissa was very patient and thoroughly explained the entire laser removal process to me. I wasn't certain if I would be able to handle the pain, so she even offered to give me a small sample to see if it would be bearable. I hadn't been here since it was still Psycho Tattoo and thought I would give them another shot. Before they rebranded, I had my industrial done which has permanently deformed my ear due to the placement. Whatever, it's in the past, maybe they're better! No. I had the right side of my nostril done and wanted it to match as close as possible to the placement of my existing left sided nostril piercing. I was finally able to take out the original jewelry (a hoop) and put a stud in. Holy cow, it's off centered (pictured). I'm incredibly disappointed. To add insult to injury, I paid over $400 for a tattoo I could have easily paid $100-$150 for and got the same amount of quality. Over $400 for a 6 inch tattoo that has no color or highlights or shading. Grossly overpriced. My regular tattoo artist was appalled when I told him, and I didn't go to him due to him being booked up for months in advance. Sure learned my lesson. Don't trust this place and don't ever do walk in tattoos when patience could save you money. read more

I had a pleasant experience coming back into this establishment. The first two times I came to get my nose pierced and checked on, the front staff was horrible and rude (see previous post). Today I came in to check my piercing and to my surprise there was another guy at the front (he's awesome). The nose piercing lady was super helpful and awesome as usual. I told the guy that he was very friendly in comparison to the last guy he was shocked (lol)... I guess they need to read their reviews. My fifteen-year-old son went into Sink or Swim for his first piercing, and he was guided through the entire process. He wasn't sure about the size of jewelry, and he was assured it would come down to preference. He knew that piece would have to stay in for quite a while, so he wanted to be certain he made the right choice. The gentleman at the front helped him narrow the decision down to two. From there, it was an easy decision. What I loved the most was not even the actual piercing. Once in the room, I asked about taking pictures. I was assured it was ok. When my son groaned, the lady looked at him and then at me. She said, "Your son doesn't seem comfortable with that idea, so I'm going to ask that you not." I 100% loved that she was so attentive and perceptive to her client and not me! My son laughed and said he was just giving me a hard time, and it was fine for me to take pictures. Bubbly nice tattoo artists just don't exist. I think that's my conclusion. The guy who helped me didn't wash his hands, didn't clean my skin as part of the prep. They don't speak when you walk in the door. The front desk receptionist is super cool and accommodating. She is appreciative of your business and tries hard to help you.
