    Chicken salad on sourdough
    Claudia C.

I spent a lovely Saturday working on my laptop in the afternoon at Sip Java. The atmosphere is friendly and chill, with a steady flow of customers but never an overwhelming line. I ordered an iced coffee (good flavor, though I wish they offered extra ice or kept some chilled nearby mine melted pretty quickly after the hot pourover) and the chicken salad on toasted sourdough. As someone allergic to dairy, I appreciated the many menu options, and the sandwich was delicious, a great dupe for Cheese Course! I just wish there had been a bit more heaped on for the $9 price point. The staff were genuinely kind, polite, and hustling nonstop; both the cashier and the server were friendly and upbeat. My absolute favorite part? So. Many. Dogs. Every few minutes another adorable, well-behaved pup strolled by. heaven!!The space is clean and cozy, though the bathroom (while tidy and midrenovation with cute paint swatches) was out of soap that day. One downside: no air conditioning. The open doors and cross breeze helped in early October, but I can't imagine it in peak summer. There's plenty of outdoor seating, great energy, and a clear sense of community. I'll definitely be back. hopefully next time to see that "New A.C." tip jar fully funded!

Coffee is a beautiful color and flavor!!

Smaller ordering area with a very busy look, but thats the least of it. This place is delicious!!!!! Easy yes! Iced Late - outstanding color & flavor Red Eye Latte - delicious Butter Croissant - fresh Egg croissant sandwich - perfect Bagel egg cheese sausage sandwich - delicious Nutella Croissants - outsanding

I'm so glad I live near this coffee shop! Both the coffee and food are really good. I usually order the Good Karma and I've tried various pastries which are tasty. The decor is cozy and they also have plenty of outdoor seating options. It can get busy sometimes but I've never had to wait too long for my coffee. Definitely worth checking out.

Good coffee spot in downtown! I always get the turkey empanadas or the lox. Always friendly and quick. Seating inside and outside!

Charge me $6 dollars for a bacon and egg and gave me a half a piece of bacon. On each side of the sandwich. Are they serious??

So let me start off by saying- I used to LOVE this place. I used to eat here every weekend as well as any other time I got a craving for one of their yummy sandwiches or baked goods. But like most things in Lauderdale once they become mainstream things slowly but surely change for the worse. Food, though the quality remains about the same, every month they're changing the prices. I'll just leave it on the note businesses of all forms in Lauderdale have changed so much. It's become more like Subpar Miami everyday - Give as little as possible to the customer while squeezing out as much profit as possible. Service- They used to be soooo friendly here which left you with that neighborhood spot feel. Now they just seem to go through the motions. Ambiance- well it is set up like a regular cafe. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It always saddens me when one of my favorites changes. But such is the cycle of businesses I guess. They either retain what made them special in the first place or they decide that profit is most important. One strategy retains loyal customers and the other does not. Thank you for the many years of good food and service! You will be missed!

Best coffee shop in Fort Lauderdale hands down! They have the best lattes and matcha I've ever had! The service is amazing! The staff is great, always greeting you with a smile. The cafe is always spotless and well organized! I go here almost 5 times and week! Don't walk, run here!

Loved this little spot! Super busy but I absolutely loved it! Not pictured were the sandwiches and the empanada. So good! They were so nice and its so cute inside! Would come again!

Easy parking, nice service, but the food we've ordered were little dry.

We grabbed three sandwiches to go, one of which was a burger. The super messy Malone (rated #1 by entire family), the Smoked Texas, and the Vodka Chicken Cutlet hoagie. 50 bucks before tip and we are told we got some hits. Next time we want Cheesesteak and the Smoked Brisket sandwich. That's right, next time. The burger was hands down loved by family and the bbq sauce felt original versus bottled. The pork was moist and we would only request a medium burger if possible. We forgot as the lines were moving and many have questions for register attendant. The Smoked Texas fell a little flat after the burger. The meat was way too diced for pastrami and the creamy aioli was a tad too much in quantity. Wife did not think the sesame seeded bread was right fit. Had we ordered this alone it might have been a partial hit but fell with its competitors. Perhaps a high end Rachel as a worthy replacement ?? The piece left for next day was quite oily and meat was over chopped and disintegrating. Finally came the cutlet hoagie stuffed with breaded chicken, sheets of cheese, and the soft light and super creamy and slightly sweet Vodka sauce. This sauce could also be a late night drink or poured on many items. Yum ....

About 10 minutes later, I get a notice that my order is complete, inside a pickup box along with instructions on how to retrieve it. It was a baguette with ham, mayonnaise, salami and prosciutto as ordered. It was OK but nothing I would ever go back for. My cousin from Miami recommended this place near Downtown FTL so I had to try it. We went for breakfast, but they are now open for dinner - but certain days/time, I'd double check. It's a cute, quaint, and more upscale deli than I'm used to but that only made me more excited. I was also very hungry. In true Yelp fashion, I looked this place up before we went and from the pictures, the portions looked huge, so my cousin and I split everything. But don't be fooled, we still ended up each getting an entree, and finishing everything. Like I said, hungry. Before I go on, the servers were great, nice, and the culture seems very accommodating because they kept explaining that we can mix and do plenty substitutions with our orders. It was really nice and refreshing for someone who wants to try a little bit of everything as much as possible. I ordered the Grand Schlam - which is like basic breakfast plate: a protein, egg, carb, and side. I ended up getting scrambled eggs, no cheese, the maple sausages, it comes with a Latke, and I choose the tomatoes with the basil oil as my side. Delicious. Eggs portion for the prices, amazing! The Latke was so yummy and perfect size. 2 maple sausages, not too sweet, which I like. And the star was fer sure the tomatoes with basil oil because it was refreshing with the savory egg and sausage combo. We also split the Corned Beef Hash - a popular dish there. It is a very large portion. My cousin finished most of it but only because I had some of it also. It comes with slices of corned beef, and shreds of corned beef on top of the hash, with eggs, and a side. And my dear cousin got a croissant as a side so he could make a freakin corned beef hash croissant sandwich. I mean is he my cousin or what. Anyways, it was amazing. The corned beef was perfectly cooked and not overly salty which was great. Then, we shared a Blueberry Pancake, amazing. Will definitely come back. They have the largest cookies I have ever seen. And I'm also interested in their dinner options too. Lovely gem!

The reviews were positive and the photos online looked great, plus I love a good sandwich at lunch time. We ordered the Chicken Parm Pesto Sandwich and the Chicken Cesar Salad Wrap. The Chicken Parm Pesto Sandwich was delish! The bread was soft and fresh. There was ample chicken and it was already cut up to make it easier to eat. The mix of red sauce and pesto was a perfect combo! It was a flavor bomb! There were also huge chunks of fresh mozzarella mixed in. It could have had just a bit more arugula, but this was not enough of a note to really impact the experience. The Chicken Sesar Salad Wrap was huge! All of the flavors were great, but it was very heavy on the kale. The menu said it was supposed to be a mix of romaine and kale, but it felt like all kale. I'm guessing the current lettuce issue was the reason behind that. This is a small sandwich shop but the service was awesome and the interior is really cute.
