Just got dinner from here for the first time and ordered the beef pho and it was delicious! I got the rare steak for my protein and it was pretty good. The broth was great and I loved how they had an area with extra limes and toppings for the pho. The restaurant was very unassuming from the outside so I was very surprised by how cute it was when we walked in. Service was also very good and our food came out super fast!

A classic Pho staple right near campus. Although I'm not always craving this place, it does hit the spot eventually on rainy days which are the only times I come. I always get their seafood pho which has generous helpings of seafood. The broth is slightly bland but that can be easily remedied with sriracha and hoisin. I've tried their rangoons and bbq buns and those were actually really amazing. The bbq pork was marinated really well and cooked amazingly. The only downside is that the items are slightly pricey.

This is a perfect low key date on a cold day souper cozy pho . The line was long but the pho was fast . The service was professional . Parking could be an issue on a weekend night beware . The ambiance is cute and the service here is amazing and quick! The broth is good and the brisket is fairly tender. I prefer a thinner rice noodle and green onions in my pho, but if you like a wider rice noodle this is definitely the place to try!

Tried Sip Pho for the first time and had a great experience. As soon as we walked in, the restaurant felt very clean with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. You place your order at the front before being seated, which was an easy process. The staff was friendly, and the food came out quickly. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, and my husband ordered the Sip Pho. Both broths were rich and flavorful. The portions were generous, and they definitely did not skimp on the meat. My Bun Bo Hue came with a beef rib that was tender and delicious. One unique thing was the noodles in the Sip pho bowl--they were slightly thicker than vermicelli, which was different but not a big deal. For drinks, I ordered the Matcha Green Thai Tea. It had an interesting flavor combination, but the matcha taste was a bit overpowered by the green Thai tea. It was still enjoyable, though slightly too floral and sweet for my personal preference. The prices were very reasonable, and they offered a great variety of pho, vermicelli bowls, rice dishes, and appetizers. Next time I visit, I'd love to try the egg rolls since I noticed many people ordering them. The only downside was parking. There are about six spots in front of the restaurant, with additional parking in the back. It was a little difficult to find a spot, likely because we visited on a weekend. Overall, I would definitely come back again.

Craving Pho and made a stop here on a Saturday a little before 2pm. Parking is terrible but if you can walk or find a spot it's definitely worth it. Ordered the waygu pho and the vermicelli short ribs. Got seated inside and we were served very promptly. First out was the pho waygu. The waygu portion was very sizable which for the price was appropriate. Cooked directly how you like in the steaming bowl of broth. The meat was fresh and tender, the broth was spiced beautifully. Very rich and flavorful. The short ribs were also delicious, albeit served not at the same time. Marinated in a sweet savory sauce, slightly chewy but this did NOT detract from the overall deliciousness of the dish. Heaping portions of both. The place is an order at the counter, served at the table spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Kinda tight on room inside but still an OK set up. The prices are def not poor college kid prices, over $50 for our two dishes but again, banging flavors and huge portions so worth it if you come hungry and are craving some great Vietnamese food.

Sip Pho is the spot! Came here on a Sunday during brunch hours after a night of drinking, and this place hit the spot! We ordered the pork egg rolls, "The Works" Pho (Pho Dac Biet for us Viet folks), Bun Bo Hue, and Vietnamese Coffee. Everything we ordered was phenomenal. The quality of the food and portion size was worth it. The Bun Bo Hue came with a huge short rib, and had meat normally found in Pho. It was unique to see and very tasty. Located near UT- Austin, so generally had a younger crowd as well as local families wanting to enjoy delicious Pho. You order at the counter and then seat yourself after. Chill atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. Absolutely recommend this place and will be back!

Rating: 4.1/5 [dine in] There's limited parking in front of the restaurant, but we were lucky to snag a spot right out front. To dine in, you order at the counter first; they'll then assign you a table and give you a table number. The food came out fairly quickly, and the portion sizes were generous but it was lacking the Vietnamese authenticity we were looking for. The interior design is very cozy with cool hanging paper fans. Rice Grill Combo ($18): You get to choose two proteins; we picked the pork chops and beef short ribs. It also comes with a side of light broth. The short ribs were better than the pork chops, but overall, the dish didn't really stand out. Matcha Thai Tea with Aloe Vera Jelly ($6.50) + Oat Milk Sub ($0.50): Pretty good! It had that distinct green Thai tea flavor that paired nicely with the matcha. The aloe vera jelly made it especially refreshing. Banh Mi Pork Belly ($11): This was a massive sandwich--I was full after just half. The pork belly was flavorful and well-marinated, though a bit on the salty side. While the sandwich was loaded with fresh veggies, it didn't quite come together as a cohesive bite. The pork belly was overpowering and threw off the balance. We actually thought the pork belly would've worked better as a rice dish than in a banh mi.

Beautiful establishment and very clean. The food was fresh and delicious and it came out very quickly. The portions were also huge which I appreciated. Definitely get the taro boba!! Everyone was super nice and sharp.

Delicious pho and banh mi served in an inviting bright room with reasonable acoustics at a good price. The staff are friendly and helpful. My shrimp and chicken were somewhat overcooked... but given the heat of the broth, this was inevitable. Consider this when you select your protein. This is a fine place to dine on your own. I was so hungry that I forgot to take photographs. There are four or five parking spots in front of the restaurant and a few behind, but don't even think of parking next-door at Kabobzi's. They tow.

I ordered the bun bo hue and had a really concerning experience. I understand this dish is supposed to have a strong, complex flavor with ingredients like lemongrass and sometimes a hint of pineapple, along with fermented shrimp paste--but this tasted completely off. The broth was overwhelmingly dominated by a harsh shrimp smell and flavor, with none of the balance I expected. There was no lemongrass aroma, no brightness, just an intense, almost unpleasant shrimp taste that made it hard to eat. Shortly after trying it, I started feeling nauseous and had noticeable stomach discomfort. I couldn't continue eating. I'm not sure if this was due to improper preparation or ingredient quality, but it definitely didn't feel right. This experience made me seriously question the food quality and safety here. Even bold, traditional dishes should still taste balanced and not make customers feel physically unwell. I wouldn't feel comfortable ordering again unless this is addressed.

I've had an awesome experience every time i've come to this restaurant besides the last, Javi is literally the rudest person i've ever had to encounter. My friend asked for TWO DRINKS. He came outside pressed over a tiny soda cup we had (because we were handed water cups,) continued to accuse us of stealing when my friend literally said the first time that should could pay for the drinks.. I usually never leave reviews, but I felt that I had to given that Sip Pho's dining experience was flawless in EVERY regard. Those who run the restaurant are extremely thoughtful, skilled, and fast--my party's food came out quickly, our names were remembered by the person who took our orders, and we were waited on even though we ordered takeout! AND they even stacked my Pho takeout so that it wouldn't tip over in the car! I didn't even know that was possible! On top of all that, this restaurant is among the most pristine I've ever stepped foot in. I'm Vietnamese, so I entered with high expectations for authenticity and flavor-- they exceeded those expectations with grace. I ordered the Shrimp Vermicelli and the Beef Pho Tai Chin (steak and brisket), and they tasted just as delicious and fresh as my Ba Ngoai's from when I was younger. It's very clear that this restaurant is run with love and care, and I wish it the best during this pandemic. I definitely will be back. :) read more

We came right at 11 and it looked closed but actually we were the first ones in. We ordered a bunch of sides and our pho. The pho was surprisingly really good, I was definitely skeptical because I felt like it looked too nice to have good pho. I was definitely wrong, I would definitely recommend this place and also come again once I am in town. read more

Fwiw, I'm not a big pho fan but I'm a fan of this place. This might be the cutest pho spot I've been to. It's design is clean and open and minimalist which I was not expecting. The menu is pretty straight forward, I went with chicken and veggies pho. It's a big portion! I only ate about 1/3 and took the rest home. Would recommend sharing with someone! Also got the brown sugar boba which was yummy, even though they were out of boba. Just don't forget to stir it all up! Perfect for a day when I was feeling a little under the weather. And the cashier was super kind as well! Def recommend. read more

I Love this place! I was skeptical at first thinking that the interior would try and mask the flavor but I was truthfully delighted! The majority of my Pho experiences have been at mom/pop hole in the wall Pho restaurants. Sip Pho will not disappoint. The restaurant is curated with great thought, the food is well portioned & rich in flavor, and the owners are lovely. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners after my meal and had to thank her. She handles the interior and customer experience and her husband prepares the food...what a Duo! I have tried the Pho(beef), Pho Ga(chicken), and Bun Bo Hue. Where they are all tasty I will continue to come back for their Chicken Pho (w/added dumplings). I hope amid the quarantines I can help bring support to this local business! read more

I can not think of one negative thing to say about Sip Pho. First of all, the service was extremely fast and the staff members were super sweet. My food was so incredibly delicious and came out warm and fresh. My friend's egg rolls were some of the best she's ever had and the shrimp bahn mi was extravagant. And they even gave us 2 complimentary boba teas. I highly recommend eating at Sip Pho and I will definitely be back #phosho. read more

I had been seeing a lot of photos on social media about this restaurant so it had been on my list. But the it was a disappointing experience.. First of all, the food is below average. I've tried almost all major Pho restaurants in Austin area but this one is obviously not up to the standard. The broth tastes like adding too much water to beef broth concentrate. I ordered Sip Bowl, which was introduced by the waitress because it has a combination of all meat. The volume is just okay - definitely not generous. Then let's talk about sanitation and the environment. The restroom is my least fav. The toilet paper they use is very cheap. So does the hand soap. Sanitation is okay (by 'okay' I mean 'acceptable'). Last but not least, the decor style which is the main reason why it is so popular, is a bit of ins style but I personally don't like it. Overall look is very low-cost. read more

I swear I go to this place on a weekly basis. I'm vegan and it's hard to find really good vegan pho. This place has the best I've had in Austin so far! Even when they're busy, they're always super friendly and attentive. The little outdoor patio is such a vibe too. 10/10 would highly recommend. read more

I came here with my boyfriend and he had the Beef Bahn Mi and I had the Pork Bahn Mi. Both were delicious and it was ready 10 minutes earlier than the estimated pick up time. The meats were seasoned well, the bread perfectly soft and chewy (tasted very fresh), the pickled vegetables had good flavor and crunch, and the cilantro and jalapeños were fresh. So good! Parking is down this small alley on the right side of the restaurant, a little hard to see but it wasn't too bad to get to. I am eager to come back and try the other options. read more

Javier was an asshole. The restraunt was comming to a close and he told us to "eat more and talk less". I mean just blatey disrespectful and uncalled for to rush us like that. On top of that, one the members of our party accidentally spilled soup and he humiliated the party for the incident and blew up the issue into more than it needed be. Finally, as we we're leaving, I accidentally knocked over a chair and tried to put it up but had no success. He approached another member of our party and told them To "tell your friend to be better" He was referring to me and the chair situation. This restraunt has had a special place in my heart as we come here often for celebratory dinners, but because of this disrespect towards customers I will rethink the next time I want a bowl pho. Sip Pho has become my favorite go to pho!!! My girlfriend and I are regulars who revel in both the quality of their broths but also in the cuts of meat they procure for their dishes. The pork eggrolls come 3 to an order, are always freshly made, and are accompanied with fresh herbs and a delicious dipping sauce. I regularly order the brisket pho but the Chef's Choice Beef Short Rib Pho is to die for as well. Being a creature of habit I haven't ventured too far into the menu. I just want everyone to know that that I've tried many many other Pho's and Sip Pho is doing quality work around the campus area!! Also, they are locally owned and have been very accommodating with patrons with covid concerns as well! Great service all around!!! read more

I was honestly very apprehensive of this place as they have the same owner as pho please. I tried pho please when it first opened, and their pho had barely any scent or flavor. However, since they were having their 2$ pho bowl deal, I decided to wait in line for 3 hours to try their pho at a discounted price. I got it to go and got the chicken pho while my partner got the beef pho. Their service was good despite their mmmm being extremely busy from the crowd. We also got a Thai tea with boba. The thai tea wasn't too bad, a little on the sweeter side as you can't adjust your sweetness level, but I waited for the ice to melt and it fixed that. Given that is covid, I took it to go. I was very pleased at their packaging. The broth and noodles were separated into two separate containers and had instructions on how to heat it up. The noodles were actually tasty and was a good portion, wayyyy better then my experience at pho please (although I do think that pho please may also have improved since then given their ratings on Yelp). I did enjoy my food and drink here, except that I do think that the original full price is a little pricier than what I would pay for pho on a usual day! Would consider coming back here if they had a deal. read more

Clean restaurant and flavorful pho. Completely customizable and filling. Plenty of room and take temperature checks and COVID seriously. Offer beef, chicken, or vegan pho and tons of noodles and buns dishes. Really no complaints on dining experience and food here. Would've liked to see some house hot sauce, but at least they have sriracha. Parking is tough but worth the hassle. Sip Pho is one of the better options around. read more

Pretty good pho place, aesthetically nice, food is average. I got the pho + shank + brisket, and it wasn't anything awesome. It was a pretty standard pho bowl. Broth was good, sides were what you expect. I also got the egg rolls which were pretty good, so would recommend those. The main downside is that this pho is expensive, so keep that in mind when you decide on coming here read more

Their Pho broth is on point. We ordered their Bowl and the short ribs. Both fabulous. Broth is balanced and tasty and super hot. Not sure what some of the other reviewers were saying regarding the broth not hot... The Noodles is nice and chewy and held its shape through the entire meal. Meat content is OK. The short ribs meat is huuuuge.... Price point is on the high side and little noodles (they really should add more noodles in the bowl as it does not cost much more and will compensate for the higher price point). read more

Just flew in from out of town so I needed some soul food for the traveling soul: pho. This was down the street from the hotel I was at. The parking is a little tight but if you walk or u we here you'll be fine. But let's talk about the bowl of pho. Just like my mama's bowl! You order at the counter and get assigned your table and they bring it out to you. So delicious! Has the SIP bowl (beef broth w/all protein) totally hit the spot. And you know what else hit the spot?! The REAL Vietnamese iced coffee. Came out dripping and it was so good and authentic. Wish I was here longer, will certainly stop by again when I'm in town. read more

Hands down best pho in Austin, if not the best I've ever had. The Wagyu pho is a little pricey, but I cannot stress how amazing this dish was. The beef is as tender and flavorful as any, the broth is a perfect balance of saltiness and beef flavor. All ingredients are clearly fresh and not frozen. On top of that, the service was absolutely incredible. The family that owns the place are down to earth, kind, caring, and hard working people. The building itself is also sleek and modern. All parts of this establishment are 10/10. Shame on any wannabe food critic that gives this restaurant less than 5 stars. It must be a sad existence for them. This place is out of this world. Broth is a darker shade than what I am normally accustomed to. But it's good, not as rich with spices and herbs as I would like, but that's just my personal preference. I ordered the wagyu beef option, the meat portion was generous and very tender. Probably not A5 wagyu based on the marbling of the beef but at $18 for the bowl, I wasn't expecting that. My only gripe was that it was not serve in the stone bowl as stated in the menu. The broth cooled down pretty quickly once you add the meat, I sparingly added onion, lime, and other toppings worried the broth would not be hot enough to cook the meat. It would have been nice if the broth was kept hot throughout to ensure the meat was cooked properly. It was grand opening so maybe it was just an oversight. Solid meal, will be back. Parking maybe an issue if you have a large group. read more

Sip Pho can truly take all my money if they want. I think I have a pho addiction, and Sip Pho definitely doesn't help that (no complaints here). I come AT LEAST once a week as an easy pick up on my way home from work. Their to-go window makes for such a quick and easy hand off. I also love dining in, as it is so beautiful and clean inside. As a vegan, I am high maintenance about my veggie broth as it can be easy to fall short on flavor! Not here. Their veggie broth has SO much flavor and I could seriously sip gallons of just the broth and nothing else. I wish they had fresh spring rolls, but now I'm just getting greedy. Their bubble tea also rocks and I really appreciate them having a dairy free option for some of them. The staff and owners are always working so hard and wear the biggest smiles while doing so. Overall, Sip Pho rocks and you will not be disappointed!!! read more

I've had the pho here twice, different proteins and they were delicious. I had the pork belly with rice grilled plate today and it was soooooo good. I actually craved it for breakfast the next morning. The staff is so very friendly and attentive. My group was given two boats for a very roomy experience with canopies for lots of shade if desired (but these were pulled back at night to enjoy the stars), there was even shaded areas on the lake (if you want to sip a cocktail with the boat shading you) on a lillypad to float if desired. The lake breeze and the wind as the boats cruised make it completely cool both on the lake and on the floating tavern. A rental of time at Floating Tavern is completely an experience that feels like you are out of the United States. It is so exotic! They cater your day totally to what you want to do. Want jet skis? Fine. Want to go cliff diving? Fine. Want to just cruise the lake or take a trip with music? That works too. Just chill out sipping a cocktail on a lillypad or floating? Go for it. Once your water time and cruise time is completed, the real fun begins. With expert captains having given us a great lake tour, we pulled up to the floating tavern and that was just incredible. I brought electric candles for the table to level up the experience a bit but they did it all so well with or without them and it was so roomy even for our large group! I ordered the Wagyu pho and it honestly exceeded expectations, the broth was rich, piping hot, and packed with flavor and the wagyu was definitely delicious and had great marbling. You can tell a lot of care goes into it. My pho was at the table within minutes, which I didn't expect for something that tastes so slow-simmered. I occasionally visit this restaurant, but this experience was unacceptable. The restaurant closes at 9 PM, and we arrived at 8:30 PM. It was freezing outside, 7°C with strong winds. Despite this, the cashier, who could clearly see that I'm pregnant, told me I had to eat outside in these conditions! Meanwhile, there were four other customers dining indoors. The inside of the place looks amazing. Neat and clean interior and the staff are all professional. I ordered egg rolls and the beef short ribs pho. The ribs had plenty of meat on the bone which is a plus. My friend had a meat and veggie plate, but I didn't get a chance to taste it. Their plate looked bountiful with food. Cool place to check out. Sip Pho was unacceptable. There was an entire RUBBER BAND in my shrimp pho. This alone was enough for a lawsuit. However, they did not even refund my money. By the way, the prices are extraordinarily high for barely average pho. I paid a few cents short of TWENTY DOLLARS for this atrocious meal. This establishment failed to correct a misdoing. I've only had incredible experiences here. Service is quick, employees are so kind and vibrant, and the food is fresh and delicious! Sip is without a flight, the best. Pho. In Austin. The staff is super kind and friendly, the décor is clean, simple and welcoming. But the food is the best part- everything on the menu from the boba to the pho is amazing. Quality ingredients, well made. I'm a huge fan!! read more

Delicious food and super friendly staff! I got the pho beef short rib (on the Chef's Choice menu section). It was incredible: HUGE portion of tender beef, tasty broth (if a little sweet), and overall I told several of my friends and will be back soon to eat here again! read more

Absolutely my favorite pho place. I come this place every time when I visit Austin. I wish Dallas has this pho place. Not just pho, their all menus are awesome. All staff were kind and helpful. The interior was clean and makes us comfy. I highly recommend this place. read more
