    Delicious reds

This wine location is so mellow and cozy. I love the music and the wine selections they have. I ended up buying a few bottles to take home with me. The atmosphere is so welcoming with good vibrations. The wine here is delicious and so is the beer. This is a perfect location for group gatherings or just solo time to sip wine while you do work. This is going to be my new spot. I recommend coming here if you are in the area, you won't regret it!

Went for the "SIP Wine Class Series: For The Love of Wine & Cheese." It was a fun experience. Met Cassandra, the owner, who helped me understand that wine involves personal taste. What tastes good to me, may not taste good to you. The thing that sticks with me most is her saying, "Just sip, taste and just ENJOY it. Good wine is whatever you like." The event was cool and relaxing. The vibe was totally chill. We had three wines paired with three cheeses and a dab of chipotle jam. I enjoyed the sweeter white wine (from the Lodi region of CA). The blue cheese paired nicely with it, and the jam added the most intense savory flavor. I learned that I'm definitely not a fan of the reds. Cassandra did a great job introducing us to wine and cheese. She was awsome and the experience was worth everything. We are fans for life. It's all about the sip society.

What a gem! I'm so bummed I can't hang out at Sip right now because the interior is so cute and cozy, but am so stoked they are doing pick up orders. I emailed Sip to inquire about setting up a time to come by and choose some wine. They emailed me back within a few hours and I was able to meet Cassandra the next afternoon. I don't know much about wine so was really excited and open to anything she suggested. I was so impressed with how much she knew about each wine and her extensive vocabulary to describe each one. She also explained how specific Sip is with choosing which wineries they buy from. I appreciate their thoughtfulness and responsible purchasing. I ended up purchasing a variety of wines (some for a birthday gift too!). I can't wait to try each one and continue to support such a rad local business.

I came in with my husband on a Saturday night after having dinner on Grand. We were greeted by Cassandra and her bright, beautiful smile once we opened the door. Right when you walk inside, the air feels so fresh and inviting. The atmosphere gives off a chill vibe with the cool music playing in the background. I love the wine selection and the variety of wine flights. My husband doesn't drink much wine so Cassandra was very helpful with him choosing the perfect red for the night. I definitely enjoyed my Rose All Day flight!! I can see us coming here frequently. When you make your customers feel like family and take your time to get to know them, it really makes all the difference! Thank you, Cassandra!

I cannot brag about this place enough! It's added to the great business in Escondido. From the wine selection to the ambience. They are all around A+++++! They have a calendar of exciting events. They will have a DJ or Live Music to listen to depending on the night. They've also done Paint & SIP events which are some of the coolest activities in town! I absolutely love the fact that they a huge selection of board games that you can play while you sip. The atmosphere is so comforting and relaxing that we make it a point to visit multiple times a month. I almost forgot, they have a wine club "SIP SOCIETY"! If you haven't been here, please make it a point to stop in. The owners, Jeremy & Cassandra, who are some of the most down to earth people I've ever met, as well as fun and full of great energy, will make you feel at right at home. Grab a bottle or a flight, listen to some soothing tunes and just sit back and enjoy your life to the fullest! Well done SIP!

Another amazing addition to Downtown Escondido! The wine selection is excellent, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is perfect. This place is great for a glass of wine alone or with a group if friends.

Sip on a Friday. Beer tasting

Great vibe ,people and drinks. Worth a stop. Just what Escondido needs! Make sure to come and check it out

Always call before you come here. Their yelp specifically says they close at 11 pm and we came at 8 pm, it was CLOSED. I even emailed the owner letting her know I'm coming by for my bday event with a group of 15 and she confirmed with me few days before. That night I just couldn't believe it was closed. Thankfully Urge lounge was nearby. Never coming by again. I never had a business be completely closed way before their closing time. They should change their hours. I've attached photos of the email to confirm that this is true. The owner was nice about it and maybe they had their reasons but I'm still very dissatisfied.

Ask the Community - Sip Wine & Beer

    Is there outdoor seating?

I've been there a couple times and always sat indoors. I noticed there are no chairs and tables outside.

Is there any other food there besides a cheese board?

They have other snacks from time to time, but there is not a full menu. There is, however, several restaurants nearby that deliver and they do have food trucks from time to time.

They also offer tasting menus, so you get healthy pours of different wines to try. They also offer some premade food for sale, charcuteries, hummus, crackers, cheeses. Plus there's a food truck that sells amazing burgers starting at 3. While we were there, there was live music being played in the Central courtyard. Guests could sit on their provided seating under a large shaded tree and some had their small dogs with them on leash. Because we were a medium size group and had made a reservation, we were placed in a separate room with plenty of inside and outside covered seating. The winemaker even gave us a tour of the facilities. Showing is the process from the grapes, to the hopper and ending with the barrels where they age. It's definitely worth driving out to visit this beautiful winery in Escondido.

It's not far off the 15 freeway in a small unassuming neighborhood. If you didn't know it was there you would never discover it. We arrived and took the last spot in the front parking lot. There is another parking lot, it seems like there's plenty of parking around. We found our party in a courtyard next to the tasting room. There was plenty of seating and tables for everyone, and it was sectioned off from the rest (if you need a private area). We went in the tasting room and tasted several wines before deciding. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about their wines. After we got our wine, we decided to walk the property. It's a very quaint, unique piece of property with old buildings and new ones made to look old (bathrooms). You can walk through the vineyards and there are various areas where you could have parties. There is a barn, which is beautifully decorated and lit inside. It would be perfect for a wedding reception or any other type of party. There are several areas where you could put multiple groups of people or use the whole facility for a giant party. When we were there, there was live music. The band was really good and we enjoyed sitting under the umbrellas and trees while listening. There was also a pizza food truck whilst we were there. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and they delivered it to where we were sitting. I shared it and we all enjoyed a slice. I can't believe I didn't know this existed here before, but I'm so glad to have discovered it. I will definitely come back and bring friends. It's just the perfect little spot to spend some time. Maybe listen to some music, eat some food and drink some wine.

We easily found parking in their complimentary lot. Ambiance (4.5/5): This is one of the things that make wineries great... the scenic views. While they have a tasting room inside, your best option is to sit outside on the small yet charming patio. The best part is that you'll enjoy the mountains in the background as you sip on your vino. Service (4.5/5): We ordered a bottle of wine about 10 minutes before close. One of the owners was nice enough to allow us to stay outside on the patio way past closing time. He said we could stay as long as we wanted. That's the type of service you rarely see at drinking holes these days. Food (N/A): They had various snacks to purchase and you can also add chocolates with wine flights but we were on a liquid diet. Drinks (4/5): If you're interested in doing a wine tasting, they have both a red and white option. The prices are affordable (especially by California standards) for both flights and if you'd like to purchase bottles of wine for enjoying there or to take home. I did the red flight. They serve it to you on a cutting board of sorts with a piece of paper giving you a short description of each wine. From there, we had a bottle of sauvignon blanc. I didn't take any wine home, but you can get a discount if you buy in bulk. One last thing that made Belle Marie an awesome winery is that it was one of the few open on a Tuesday in the area. A lot of them are open on the weekends only or Wednesday-Sunday or Thursday-Sunday. Belle Marie delivered on the only day we could stop by. For that, I'm grateful!

We ordered Calabrese Pizza, Apple & Gorgonzola Pizza, Parmesan Fries, and Rigatoni & Vodka Sauce Pasta. My goodness, everything was GOOD! The Apple & Gorgonzola Pizza was my favorite, pure perfection of flavors. I know there's always a debate with pineapple on pizza but this apple and gorgonzola makes sense, I don't think anyone would ever question it. The parmesan fries was so yummy as well, you get a HEFTY amount. We actually didn't finish a good amount and took this home along with a few slices of pizza. Pasta was delicious as well, there was leftover pasta sauce that we just scooped up with the crust of the pizza. The ambience - amazing and beautiful. It is pretty spread out. I've only been here a couple times but I was able to find a table both times aside from the good amount of people the times I've came. We sat inside the tasting room and the food came out promptly. I do love that on hot days they will turn their misters on, great touch Way to keep us cool! We decided to do the Traditional Wine Tasting where you get six 1.5 oz pours of your choice for $32. Also, you can get free chocolate to pair with your wine at the dessert shop. Delicious, everything I ordered was what I needed. Everyone here just seems incredibly nice. From the people who took your order at the Kitchen, food runners, pourers, even the lady at the dessert shop (even though we didn't get any dessert lol) was friendly. We wanted to get dessert, but we had 15 minutes left till closing, however she didn't rush us out the outside area. I saw that there was a sugar free pistachio gelato flavor. I love that, seems like it was a hit because it was nearly all out! Next time I do go, I definitely want to try that and their cannolis!!! I love Cannolis. Anyways, back to the wine tasting, I believe her name is Cecilia (?), She was great. Great service along with the other pourer at the counter. I did not catch her name but she has blonde short hair and was very nice and friendly as well! Overall, 10/10, & I will be back very soon.

My boyfriend asked if she could top off his glass, and she said something along the lines of "look at you using a new vocab word, you were paying attention to what I said". Before lunch, the owner, Frank, welcomed our group into the wine cellar for an impromptu tasting and shared the story of how the winery came to be. Perched high above the valley, the property offers sweeping views of rolling hills, vineyards, and distant mountains that seem to stretch on forever. The vine-covered terrace provides just enough shade to linger over a glass of wine while taking in the scenery. On a clear day, it feels like you've stumbled onto a little slice of Tuscany hidden in San Diego County. The food was equally enjoyable. We shared a variety of thin-crust pizzas, burrata salad, and charcuterie boards, all of which disappeared quickly. And then came the cannoli, the perfect sweet ending to an already wonderful meal. Between the breathtaking views, warm hospitality, excellent service, delicious food, and outstanding wine, this was an experience rather than just a lunch. I left already looking forward to coming back for wine and dinner.
