Run don't walk from this groomer. Our dog who was groomed before by the same groomer without issues, apparently had a hard time with the hair dryer and bit the groomer this past time. Despite our dog being in distress the groomer kept going with the groom even though our normally chill dog when it comes to grooming bit him again. He sad normally he carries muzzles but didn't have any with him so he just carried on! (Our boarding facility confirmed they use the dryer on him all the time and he never has an issue). I'm am beyond disturbed that the groomer would continue grooming our dog while he obviously was stressed out let alone allow him to bite him more than once. What?! Our dog has NEVER bitten anybody. Even worse, after the groom my dog was just not himself and was unusually lethargic. Upon closer look, I noticed my dog's eye was shut and weeping with the whites of his eye bloodshot and the bone around his brown bone noticeably swollen. I believe the groomer hit our sweet Great Pyrenees. Sadly our dog is very clingy one week on and is not the same dog. I am disgusted and disturbed by what happened. The owner will not return my calls to discuss the incident. Please do not use this service for your beloved pets!!! read more

I've been a client for 4 years. I feel that because I was a longtime customer, the groomer became less concerned about doing the best for my babies. Over the last 6 months, their haircuts have been rough--uneven. I always end up trimming a few areas after the session. At $100.00 plus per dog, I expect better. The final straw came yesterday. My precious little Yorkie was hot, panting, and distressed after grooming. His body was too warm to the touch! I put him in the tub to cool him down. There's a huge bloody scab on his right ear. On top of that, they didn't offer a discount or even an apology for cutting up my dog's ears. If I could give zero stars, I would. This was the WORST and MOST EXPENSIVE grooming my beautiful soft coated wheaten terrier has EVER had. I was shocked when the groomer brought him out of the van and I asked her to take him back in and correct some glaring problems with his cut. It did not not help much. All I can say is I was so disappointed in the service especially since it cost me $143.70 plus tip for a bath! I mean that's all they did my request was to bat her and blow her out. since I had my dog groomed completely with a haircut and the works 2 weeks ago with another Grooming Co. I had been on a waiting this for 2 months with Sir Fur so I thought I would give them a try just to check them out on how they operated with the mobile service. The groomer did nothing but a half finished bath. No nails, no haircut, no teeth cleaning, no ears trim nothing!! That I expected, but not even a blow out and didn't completely dry her. I took my baby home half wet!! I had to finish drying once we got back to the house. This is not only unprofessional but unacceptable for what they charged me. I have reached out to the owner of the company and left two messages but no response yet. I really would like to talk to someone or have them respond to me about how they can charge $143.70 plus tip, for a bath with out any fragrance to the shampoo, no blowout and barely dried my dog hair. Found this mobile groomer on Yelp. Thought I did my due diligence in asking for the price for my 7 lbs 8 month old puppy. I was quoted higher than a standard groomer brick and mortar but I saw there was a $25 "salon fee" for warm water and driving over. The quote I thought was $68-$88 which I thought had the $25 salon fee included. NO it did not. I had a Standard Poodle with hair do galore that I never paid over $80 at a professional groomer. The groomer said she would text when she was on her way she did not. My dog received the hair cut I don't prefer for this breed and I was trying to circumvent that with a text or call. The cherry on the sundae experience is the final bill was $122.00 for a seven pound puppy! Careful here ask exact pricing and be sure you're there. The whole job was less than an hour! So these people are making $122/hour that's what my doctor makes. The job was ok. Just ok...Petsmart quality at Neiman's prices. Not happy with the owner's "oh well" attitude. Shame read more

I have used several groomers over my 25+ years of owning dogs both at home and shops and feel qualified to rate Sir Fur. Sir Fur was recommended by my vet bc I need a special groomer for my medical needs/older dog. I am so delighted I have found someone I trust! The groomer Laura arrived on time, and gave a heads up that she was arriving. She was fast, professional, kind and did a great grooming job on my little lady who has bad arthritis and is very dramatic. Laura trimmed more than I thought she'd be able to trim which was great, and she cleaned up my dog's paws! I recommend 100%, and I rarely write reviews. To those of you who complain about prices, this is a service that comes to your home, is self-sufficient, and the groomers are at risk grooming our animals. If a hair salon can charge me over $100 to trim my hair as I sit still, I will not complain about a groomer who puts in 10 times more effort to groom my stressed out dog. Get a grip people read more

Pretty much the same as all of the bad reviews. The $25 charge was never mentioned. I was quoted $90 for a 55 lb. shepherd lab. The groomer was very nice (hence, the second star). I did not have her shaved. She was furminated to cool her off for the summer. But $175?????? I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. Nope, I will not be coming back. I love that I found Sir Fur. In years past, grooming day was an ordeal. It involved loading our wonderful dog into the car, an anxious ride, negotiating our way past other animals into the groomers, and racing back through rush-hour traffic at the end of the day to pick up our pet. Of course, there was also the threat that if we were late to pick her up, additional charge would make our visit even more painful. Now, I schedule a window during my week, and arrange my lunch accordingly. The groomer comes to my house. No anxiety for me, or my pet. But, the most important thing is the quality of the cut and care. Our dog looks like a showpiece when she emerges from the groomer's truck. The facilities inside the vehicle are as good as any you will find at your typical grooming shop. And, the task is accomplished stress free for our animal. A great discovery! read more

Well, can't comment on their services because I could not get a price estimate just a really vague range. They gave me a price of somewhere around $200 to $400 - which is ridiculous considering I outlined exactly which services I wanted and the details on my dogs. I was willing to pay but when I inquired for more clarity on the pricing structure I got none at all just a response to review their "ranges". In my experience, lack of clarity for pricing like this usually is not a good thing for consumer and honestly didn't want to get screwed over. Today was the first time I've worked with Sir Fur and am hooked. Kara, the groomer who took care of my (too spoiled for their own good) doggies was a gem. She was prompt, and courteous. And most importantly, she was kind and patient with our girls. Yes, you pay a premium for at your door service, but for my two girls, who both get very anxious at storefront groomers (who wouldn't with all that barking and activity going on around them) the mobile service is perfect. They get immediate attention, and don't have to undergo the stresses of driving and being in a completely unfamiliar place for a whole day. But like I said, what's even more important to us is that they are in good, caring hands, and I could tell right away that Kara was going to take excellent care of them, and she did. Just as a few others mentioned, beware of the $25 (extra!) salon fee! (I haven't seen any other mobile groomers add that?) Groomer's time slot given to me was 9-9:30--she arrived around 10:30. Granted, she did call and let me know her GPS sent her waaaay somewhere north (?) My dog is a 16 lb Havanese mix, who was fairly short to begin with. He is undergoing Heartworm treatment, so I thought this service would be less stressful for him than taking him to my regular groomer. Groomer suggested not blow drying him, because of stress. I was fine with that and actually appreciated her suggestion. I was quoted between $68-$88. Well, it ended up being at the higher end....$88. So, that along with the salon fee, my total was $122!!!!! Wow-for a 16 lb dog, barely trimmed (told her do NOT shave him, but it sure looks like he was to me!), bathed and NO drying! I just can't figure out how it was this expensive! My wife started using these guys because her dog Sadie is older and she just wanted someone to pull up, bathe and clip her, and then let Sadie walk the small amount of distance back inside to sleep on her bed. Since initially starting with Sadie, we now get our other two dogs clipped too. It can be a bit pricey, but the convenience level is what you pay for. They literally pull up, take your dogs in their van, and then bring them back to you. You don't have to drive some place and then pick up your dog. So far we haven't had any problems! read more

My Goldendoodle Lily is still a puppy and she gets very anxious riding in the car. I decided to try SIR Fur so I don't have to put her through a long car ride to the groomer. We just had our 1st service today and we loved it! Tina was great! She explained everything to me, let Lily warm up to her before we took her inside the van, and pretty much taught me all about the type of coat Lily has and what I should do to make sure it always looks beautiful and detangled. Tina then asked me to come with her inside the van to watch her groom Lily and make sure she was doing exactly what we discussed about. She was very loving with Lily throughout the whole process. Just had a very good experience with Sir Fur Mobile Grooming. I have a 13 year old miniature schnauzer with some health issues and thought Sir Fur would be less stressful her, well it was! The groomer was very attentive to my dog's special needs and very gentle with her. The whole appointment only took 45 minutes from arrival to payment. No waiting in a cage for me to pick her up. We asked for a short schnauzer cut and that's what we got and she looks great! I ended up paying about $10 more for the grooming plus the $25 fee. For me the extra $35 was worth it because my pup wasn't stressed and what is usually a 3-4 hour ordeal that I have to plan my day around was done in 45 minutes. read more

Our experience with Sir Fur started off beautifully. But I am afraid that it is a relationship that is going to end for the following: 1. The usual groomer was not available so the one we got did a butcher job on our dog. She is a Shizu. You should see the pics. She looks like a rat. 2. She wound up with a 1 1/2" cut on her right side too which was patched up with super glue. 3. After calling in the complaint about the grooming we were promised that we would not have to pay and that we should send in pics so the owner could be informed. 4. Two weeks later, never got a follow up call from ANYONE about the email that was sent but today I noticed that the check was deposited! 5. I left a message today for the owner to call me in person. No one ever called me back. Really? I don't think that the overall quality of this business is terrible because I have gotten some really good work done before, but the groomer we got this last time is giving them a bad name. The service and response to a complaint from the company gets a big fat zero though. That does reflect on them. I'll never use them again for that reason alone. I could've worked things out if someone acted like they really cared about what happened. Instead I got false promises and lies. So disappointing! read more

I have a standard poodle and was willing to pay extra for the convenience and the fact that they had an opening the next day. The lady who did the grooming was very nice and she certainly did her best to make sure I was happy, however, I was charged the high-end of the price range I had been given, why I am not sure. It was a very simple job as far as poodles go. I was told $25 for the mobile service (fair enough) plus $125 to $148 for the cut -(high but I would do it under my current circumstance of needing my dog groomed on short notice for a weekend event.) The cut was a very simple, all one length short cut. I expected the cut would be on the $125 end. I even brushed out my dog's hair right before to make sure it was easy to handle with the clippers. There was tax added and I was handed a bill for $187 (!!) The groomer did what I asked but her initial go was a bit sloppy around my dog's face and paws. I had to ask her to clean it up, which she did, and in the end I am happy enough with the cut. After tipping her I paid $197 total. I don't mind paying premium prices when appropriate. The groomer was very good with my dog. I liked her enough and I might have booked them again were the price more reasonable (even just a little) and had the owner given a different response to my feedback -- had she at least explained to me why I was charged the highest rate. If I were rating just the groomer alone I would go with four stars because she was very nice and in the end she got the cut to where I wanted, but it was not the best cut my dog has gotten - especially for the price. Beyond that, I give the service one star because of the owner. When charging premium prices - customer feedback could be taken more seriously. I have never taken the time to write a review, but her response was just a surprising as the price. I'm with Laura F. who wrote, "Just ok. Petsmart quality at Neiman's prices.
