The service at the bar is excellent with both bartenders being very talkative and engaging. I ordered the Cheeseburger with Fries. My wife had the Grilled Romaine Chicken Caesar. We were here around 4:30-5:00pm on Monday and it was very busy, but all the service was very good. It's pricey, but, you are in an airport and this is only one of two restaurants in this airport.

Ambiance- well it's a restaurant inside an airport Service- now this is something. Matt was the dude behind the bar. It was a little busy but the kitchen was very slow. Took forever to get my breakfast. This girl ordered an omelette to go. She waited a good 30 minutes for her omelette at which point she was like my plane is boarding and I gotta go. Matt was like you seen how busy it is so you can go but you still gotta pay for omelette which took way too long to make. The girl was nothing but polite and Matt just kept on making comments. They finally got the omelette out for a to go order. After she walked out Matt was telling everyone that he thought they were going to brawl. Nothing but politeness from the girl, handled way better than most people. Dam sure wouldn't be paying crap if I didn't get my food in a timely manner. After the brawl comment Matt goes on to tell everyone at the bar that he had a girl that apparently never been in a restaurant before. Uncalled for. This girl was nothing but polite Matt kept pushing her to stay. I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't miss her flight. People like that I don't understand, this girl never raises her voice and he just kept making sly comments. Matt if ya can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen! Don't get me wrong everyone else I have dealt with at bourbon library has been great. Matt on the other hand if he is here I will pass by!

The food is also good and fairly pried for an airport. Since this is a Kentucky airport, they have a great bourbon selection. The also have Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, which happens to be my FAVORITE beer! Its a local brewery (Kentucky Ale) that will age the beer the bourbon barrels for several weeks. If you've never tried it - TRY IT! There are only two restaurant (and a Dunkin Donuts) in the airport, so its either this or Mexican. Food comes out quick and you can now get drinks (including alcohol) to go and drink in the terminal (can't take it on the plane).

It was and not too hoppy for my taste buds. I'd give the beer three out of five stars. The restaurant had a ton of seating which was good as I believe this is the only sit-down restaurant in this small airport. I saw some folks ordering food but I ate prior to being dropped off at the airport. The bartender was friendly and let me sample the beer before I purchased it. There was a television at the bar so I could watch the football game. There was also a power plug right below the bar in front of my seat. This was a nice touch!

Cork and Barrel is a bourbon store in the Lexington Bluegrass Airport. I am not a bourbon drinker…read morebut I am a fan of my home state of Kentucky so I checked it out. It's a small store but it's packed with some pretty cool stuff. I was impressed that none of the bottles, and there were many, or shelves had any dust. A very clean store! Primarily you will find Kentucky bourbon. Thomas was very helpful and friendly. I told him I wasn't a bourbon fan but I wanted to try something different. He pointed me to the Wild Turkey honey flavor, $15.99. I put it on the rocks and added a little lemon juice and it was pretty tasty. I also purchased the Preachers Truffles, four for $10. Yes, expensive, but well worth the money! I've already checked online to see how I can order more LOL. These truffles were made from the bourbon that seeps into the barrel while aging. They extract the bourbon and use it to make these absolutely divine chocolate delights. You can also find wine openers and bottle stoppers. If you are looking for KY items, there were coasters and books. Stop by and I bet you will find a treasure to take home.

I did buy a bottle of Lexington Bourbon to get things started! Since I've collected all eight horse stoppers, upon my departure, I bought the Blantons horseshoe glorifier & bottle for the middle of the ingredients that it takes to make bourbon. I also found a super cute red gem wine purse holder for the table or bar & some cute jockey/horse wine charms. Love this airport & store! They also have a bourbon tasting at there other location.

We also had coffees (regular drip for me and an iced latte for him). And I also tried the key lime gimlet. It's made with Castle & Key gin which is a favorite of mine. Ambience was very nice and the food was delicious. I asked for a side of bacon. I am very particular about my bacon and it came out cooked perfectly, crispy but not burnt. Service was fantastic and pleasant. The only criticism I had is that the red onion in my omelet was bitter. But no one's fault, sometimes onions are very astringent. Everything else was delicious and well made. Oh and we got the house made cinnamon roll for the table. This was delicious. So buttery and gooey with cinnamon. We will be back, maybe for dinner to try their dinner menu!

It's enormous (easily shareable between 6+ people) and absolutely delicious. The Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich was a close second at 9/10, a great classic executed really well. The Banana Bread Latte was an 8/10 -- very good but ask for it less sweet. The Iced Cinnamon Bun Latte and Eggs in Heaven both landed at 6/10. The latte sounds incredible on paper but the cinnamon bun flavor didn't quite come through, and while the Eggs in Heaven dish itself is a good concept, my eggs were unfortunately not cooked to my liking. We really enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying our breakfast! Service was good, a little slow but they were very friendly! Overall a great spot with a lot of potential -- the pastry alone is worth the trip. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!
