If you like canned / frozen food, this place is for you. Although really friendly folks, the food, they just don't seem to take pride in. It's clearly packaged food... mashed potatoes are easy & cheap to make, but even those aren't "real". Green beans weren't even "doctored"... just can to dish. Very basic... no bread offering with dinners.... One steak sauce (they offer steak & chopped steak) & it happens to be the one I don't like. The iced tea was good, they use real dishes, and seem to be nice people. I love local places!... I just hope they can give themselves a shot in the arm to step it up. I really love the food and the staff has always been excellent! The omelette are one of my favorites, but then again so isn't everything else. My only complaint has been excessive flies are in this building which really has been a big turn off to myself and my wife . I hope the owners read this complaint and take action because I miss going to Nanny's. read more

First time eating breakfast there and it was good. I enjoy family owned restaurants. The only thing that we didn't like is they don't have fountain drinks. If you want soda you have to buy the cans. We were frequent customers (at least twice per week) and also brought in new people to become customers about twice per month. The very waitress that we request everytime we come in because we can count on quick service that always is delivered with accuracy and a smile, has been fired! Fired with a three day notice! She has worked here since 2016. Despite being fired, she still served us professionally, and with a smile. Lately the coleslaw has been hit or miss, either delicious or on the verge of being spoiled. We switched from the coleslaw to other sides and just overlooked the declining food because we knew that we would get great service. So in light of the fact that the chain buffet across the street has competitive pricing, where we can select food until we find what we like if we can't get served with a smile and consistently excellent service, our days at Nanny's are finished. read more

All in all, not to shabby. Eggs, toast, and hash browns were just as you would expect. Not rocket science. Here's where it went wrong for me. I had a deep down hankering for some meatloaf. I have had some of the best meatloaf of my life in little mom and pop places like this. I placed a to go order and ohhhhh to my surprise.. I swear to you they served me a hungry man meal microwave meal. If you have ever had one, you know what i mean. It was that 1/4 inch piece of perfectly smooth, perfectly sliced, homogenized, pressed, flavorless, piece of "meat". Ummm...nice people!! If you like looking at a junkyard while you eat and aren't put off by nasty menus and old furniture, tasteless old food and heartburn, this is your kinda place! Why people gave this place a good review, I have no idea! I ordered a gyro and fries. I'm not sure what kind of meat was in it, but it was tasteless. The sauce tasted like sour cream. The veggies were old, as was the wrap. The French fries were nothing special. My boyfriend ordered something that he considered "safe", a BLT. The bacon was cold and the veggies were old. I was visiting Spring Hills Florida and our friends told us about this spot. The best HOT coffee and the breakfast we had was absolutely delicious. The service is great too. Keep your coffee filled. We received a gift coupon from a relative for $10 off (fine print says for a $20 total minimum order). The basic problem with the coupon is one has to order the two most expensive items on the menu to qualify meaning a steak and large greek salad as there were probably only 4 things on the menu around $10 :) They were out of the top steak so got the rib steak instead. Thin but good. I ordered 2 cokes to get the price over $20. Wife was disappointed that the Greek salad had no potato salad in it. A lot of feta made it salty for her too. The place is probably an awesome breakfast/lunch place or an all you can eat fish place certain days in evening. It's a local hangout that's showing it's age but was freshly painted. They are friendly people. A good place to get a really inexpensive meal but forget the coupon unless there are at least 3 of you eating. read more

I've traveled often and been to many coffee shops around the country but the experience I had at My Nanny's was amazing! I was in the area visiting family and pretty sure that the only option we had for breakfast was a chain restaurant but our family turned us in this local gem! The space is tiny and quaint but the minute you walk in, the servers make you feel like you're family and have been going there for years like the locals have. I would give the service 6 stars if it were possible! Now , the food....oh the food!!! We actually ate there several times while we were there and I tried something different every time and loved everything! The biscuits and gravy were the best I've ever had! I love my bacon crispy and they made it perfectly! Having been a server and manager at a restaurant I can be very picky but they met exceeded all of my expectations and kept the coffee flowing!! This is the best breakfast in town. Go with Nani's omelette all the way. Feta, spinach, herbs, tomatoes, and a host of other delicious fillings make a wonderful breakfast omelette. also, the coffee is way above average for a diner. I gotta say, the prices are ridiculously low. while other places have drifted into the eight or ten dollar range for breakfast, Nani will deliver that omelette for $6. Service is fast and attentive, so take some of that money you're saving and give the waitress a good tip. read more

My Nanny ' s restaurant is fantastic. Sausage gravy is wonderfully thick and flavorful! And the "Nanny ' s Omelet" was wonderful! So flavorful and filling! Ended up going here two mornings in a row!
