Murf Electric Bikes - Redbull rampage E-bike edition

I just purchased a second MURF e-bike…read more The sales representatives are very nice and knowledgeable I looked at several e-bike manufacturers and found the quality of MURF to be superior Considering the size of the tires, the wheels spin true. Small details like the headlamp is good quality, nice comfortable handlebar grips and seat The rear luggage rack is welded to the frame vs. an add-on with fasteners The battery has huge range and speed MURF does a good job managing all the wires associated with an e-bike. The handlebar area looks relatively organized and clean MURF is worth the additional price in my opinion

Disappointing support from MURF Electric Bikes…read more I am writing this review to share my deeply disappointing experience regarding a premature battery failure on my MURF Electric Bikes e-bike. The bike has only 800 total miles on it and is just 3 months past the standard warranty expiration. For a component as critical and expensive as an e-bike battery, failing after only 800 miles points to a clear manufacturing defect or a faulty Battery Management System (BMS). When the battery stopped working, I took it to an independent local bike shop and spent $50 out of pocket to have it professionally diagnosed. Their conclusion was clear: the battery itself was defective, and my best bet was to take it directly back to the manufacturer, MURF Electric Bikes, at their San Clemente showroom where I originally purchased it. When I reached out to MURF Electric Bikes support, the initial response was highly disappointing. Adhering strictly to the calendar date rather than the incredibly low mileage, they initially only offered a 25% discount on a brand-new replacement battery. After a great deal of back-and-forth and pushback on my part regarding reasonable product lifespan expectations, they finally adjusted their offer to $550 plus tax for a replacement. While I appreciate that they eventually moved on the price, requiring a customer to spend over $550 out of pocket to fix a premium e-bike with only 800 miles on the odometer is unacceptable. A quality lithium-ion battery should easily last several thousand miles. Prospective buyers looking into MURF Electric Bikes should be aware that if a major component fails shortly after the warranty date--even with very minimal use--you may be left holding a significant bill for a replacement.

This is amazing since buying an electric bike feels like a small investment, I feel confident about spending my money and a company that stands behind their products! I know I can also reach out to Danny wiwth any questions and he'll point me in the right direction. Can't say enough about that customer service, especially as a busy mom who sometimes can't quite remember who to call. Can't wait to pedal around town this summer!

TOOK bike in for repairing a flat at 645 odometer miles. Danny insisted I leave the bike at Pedago,…read moreclaimed it needed 1,000 miles service/ safety inspection.(I had just paid him for that service a few months prior.) Bike, when I left it at Pedago in Dana Point, was working fine, less than a year old just never went up inclines at less than 4 bars on battery--- which Danny falsely claimed it was capable of at ALL battery levels). Another of Danny's lies. When I brought the bike in in April 2024 it worked ok and still looked new, it was returned to me dirty , HAD NO FUNCTIONING BRAKES,would not even slow down when I pressed the hand brakes upon the first time I rode it after his "safety/service" . COMPLETE IDIOT! Then he would not return my 2 texts nor 2 phone messages and a written letter asking him what was going on with my trike and refused to answer the phone when I called him during business hours. Save your money and possibly your own life by getting service done elsewhere. Danny, your response is another set of lies. You sabotaged my etrike in April 2024 . Your " service" that you charged me over $100 for in April 2024 could not have been done at all since the brake pads were the original pads both front and rear and worn and never replaced during ANY service you charged me for and the chain was not even oiled by YOU ever. The only Pedago store I have ever been to for service is yours in Dana Point, so stop trying to damage other Pedago dealers with your vindictive, irresponsible actions. The fact that in court you falsely claimed I rode the trike too hard is PATHETIC. I have 3 herniated discs , ride slowly on the sidewalk to avoid any jiggling and take care of all of my means of transportation . I have a 2023 Tacoma that looks like new and I used to have a Pedago e-trike that looked like new until you damaged it as "payback" for leaving an honest review about the lack of power your e-trikes have.
